AK shirts for me & Tom

The stitching forms animal shapes on the trunk (you can see it in the close up below), and she was intently inspecting it. She wasn't happy that I took a picture of her in that position though, so she adjusted herself into a more proper pose while she finished looking. There's advantages to posting without her.

The darling little giraffe that I should have been able to draw, but was giving me fits.

Inspecting the fabric patterns. Even the close ups don't show very well that the animals have designs on their fabric.

Tom & I both had our hair cut over the weekend. Angel never wants me to get it cut so short, but I just can't take it when it's hot.

Angel has clinic on Thurs. She has been very nervous about it (we hadn't even gotten off the clinic property last month when she started to worry), because if any of her counts have dropped, it will have a major impact on her trip. Hopefully her ANC & platelets will have even increased.

Cutie Pie is Angel's last remaining gerbil. Normally she is a very hyperactive little thing, and daredevil wannabe that amazes us with her feats. Today she just hasn't been herself, is having difficulty climbing, and showing other signs that indicate that she most likely has developed a tumor. We will be gone for 13 days, and her uncle will be watching Cutie. He works though, and won't be able to look after her like I could if she declines. I'm having trouble typing this, through the tears. Gerbils with tumors tend to decline quickly, especially at her age, so there's a very good chance Cutie won't make it until we get home.

Thank you. Scotty had one of his first therapy appointments last Friday. It was for his vertigo. Unfortunately it failed, and we will be going back a week from Friday again. I hope that they get it next visit.

Thank you Flora. The little mishap isn't that noticeable. Another Big Giver noticed a small section had pulled away on a shirt they sent, and told us about using fray check & fabric glue, and we were able to use it on this shirt too. Angel adores the shirt.

Thank you to VBAndrea for the amazing Animal Kingdom outfit. I love all the adorable animals with the Mickey ears on the shirt and skirt. The little giraffe on the shirt is so cute. The different designs on the animals and fabric you chose for the skirt are so pretty. I'm excited that all three of us have coordinating outfits for Animal Kingdom day and the Sanaa lunch. I can't wait to wear the outfit on the trip.

All caught up on your latest wonderful Big Gives! Andrea's outfit for Angel is really cute and so are the shirts for mom and dad on your Animal Kingdom day! So many other fantastic items to make Angel's trip more special.

Glad that Tom's back is feeling better. Good for Angel telling her drawing teacher she wasn't doing any homework while on her trip.

Sorry to read about Cutie Pie! Will be praying for Angel's appointment on Thursday and all will be well for her wish trip! Praying for you too Christi as you get things ready for the trip.

Ahrizel - Sorry, your packages didn't arrive today.


I found a few ants in the kitchen today. Hoping we can prevent it from becoming an invasion again. I took all of the cereal & other dry goods out of the cupboards that they were attracted to last time, and put them all in sterlite containers again. Tom's going to bring home the bait traps that the receptionist at the exterminator suggested last time (the ants stopped last time before we had a chance to try them). It was unbelievable how many ants managed to come in the first day the last time, and we were just gone to an appt. for Angel for a few hours - I don't want to think about what will happen if they're coming in while we're gone for 2 weeks.

I'm sorry they weren't there today. They were mailed Saturday late afternoon, so they should be there tomorrow. I hope I mailed priority, so you should have them. I'm rooting for Cutie Pie to do well. Good luck with your packing, that can be crazy.
