That picture of the sunken treasure now hangs in my office :thumbsup2
Any bad thought is melted away by the beauty of my special drink...

My goal: sunken treasure on my Disney Alaskan cruise....am i up to the challenge??

Heres a tip - if anyone trades vinylmations; i just scored a whole bunch at the disney store on clearance for 2.99 each....great for trading! My son got interested while we were in the World and it was costly paying regular price. I also ran into a lady who was buying about 10 an planning to use them as favors at her sons birthday party. just a thought.

Awww, big bummer as my son loves the Vinylmations!! No Disney Store anywhere near us!! What a great idea as party favors!!!

What would be the best way to get from Beach Club to Grand Floridian? I have reservations for the afternoon tea at Grand View Tea Room. We don't have park hoppers, so going through Epcot is not an option. If we take the bus to MK, then monorail to GF, how long would it take and how early should we leave in order to be at GF at 3:30? And how about going from BC to Poly for a 5:20 reservation at Kona Cafe? Thanks for your help.

So worth the $10 -$15 cab fare to avoid the hassle of all that confusing travel!!

We are staying at the BC from Aug 3-10
We decided to add another day (the 11th), contacted our TA because he had quoted us a rate earlier.
He emailed us back that it is booked. He actually said that DISNEY is full

Is that possible?

In the description of the Beach Club it lists two lounges, the Rip Tide and Martha's Vineyard sounds like a couple hidden gems. Where are they located? :confused3

I'm not sure about RipTide, but Martha's Vineyard is right on the other side of Cape May Cafe, before Beaches and Cream (as you're going away from the lobby).

Yep, its possible.
You'll be there the same time I'm going to be there (part working and part as a guest).

Today's recap - hope ya'll don't mind. This is one way for me to "jot" down the basics of what we did each day:)

Today we finally got to partake in breakfast at the CL. Yesterday we headed out too early, but today was sort of sleep in day. The little kids were booked on the Albatross Cruise (Pirate Adventure), so we couldn't go anywhere in the morning.

We dropped them off for their cruise (which they loved, btw) and I went around taking some pictures. Then back to the room to do some administrative stuff - clean out my purse, have the club level "people" (I don't know what to call them) apply some gift cards to our balance, try to organize the mess we'd made of our room, etc.

We picked the kids up 2 hours later and headed to AK. We had an adr at Yak & Yeti. The kids loved the food there, as did I. Then off to see Lion King, go on the safari (seems like there are more animals and the poacher scene is gone now), watch the parade, catch the nemo show, DH and DD rode everest a couple times, a bug's life, some shopping and back to the BC.

We let the kids take their first dip in SAB and they were loving it. Fortunately the water was warmer than the air. We were wearing jackets as we sat in the chairs:) Those poor lifeguards all had jackets on, too. Our intention was to get some food at Hurricane Hannah's, but I guess it closes early because at 8pm, the shutters were pulled. :scratchin

So, we walked over to the marketplace and decided what we wanted, DH was getting the food and I was taking the kids to change. We met back in the CL lounge so we didn't have to eat in the room. I had chips with my sandwich, so I asked the attendant if they had any dip left, and she brought me a heaping bowl full! I love those attendants!!

We're planning to do MK at 7am again tomorrow, so it's early to bed tonight! Hoping for another successful morning at MK!!

Back to bed with my friend Ty(lenol);)

Hi there YC/BC fans! I've finally booked a return visit for the summer so I'm officially asking Dee to please put us on the Be Our Guest list. << that deserves a banana dude I think!

We'll be at the YC from 8/20-8/25. We're sandwiching this between AKL and BLT once again. (Deluxe CL room unless there's a killer deal released then I'll give that up.) There's so many things to look forward to but mostly just being in the Epcot area at these beautiful resorts.

Hi folks- I won't have time to respond to many comments today, but I'll try to keep up by reading through and will catch up tomorrow-

But I did want to ask you about the sandwiches at the Marketplace- were they premade, or could you customize (no mayo, extra lettuce, etc???)

You didn't happen to ask if the flatbreads could be made without sauce did you? Someone asked either here or on the Marketplace thread.

THANKS for you excellent reports!!!

Enjoy the day, you should be there at MK right now if you were able to stick to your plan!

Sweet!
I looked it up the Disney page, and there are someof the CL level, etc. Rooms available. No biggie. Maybe one will open up.
I will try to say "hi" Trying to convince my wife that Sunken Treasures are worth the stay at BC vs WL.

Love this! Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks! I'm hoping she will do a Poly and BC picture for me as well to add to the collection.

Beautiful painting :artist:! Your daughters very talented!

Thanks. The protective covering is reflecting other things, but it's the best photo I could get of it. She's really creative!

Is that the Mirror of Erised?

(oops, wrong park, my HP is showing :wizard:)

Another great painting by your talented daughter!

She would LOVE that comparison since she is a HP fan, just not enough to leave WDW! ::yes::

BigAWL - thanks for all of the great photos! Tomorrow is our 60 day check-in and I'm enjoying all of the teasers before we arrive.

mommakacie - loving the live updates! I hope you are enjoying your trip!

The Rip Tide must be a real hidden gem. I have never heard of it! Was this on the Disney website?

Teena, or other resort experts??? Any history lessons?

I went and reviewed my dining section- I have info listed about Martha's Vineyard, but I don't have anything about the Crew's Cup at the Yacht Club. I'll revise that tomorrow.

Here is a menu for the Crew's Cup from all ears:

Crew's Cup Menu

I haven't seen a similar menu for Martha's Vineyard.

Dee - Have a great day - hoping for a great night! I know it's bad luck to say "good luck" and given our history I have trouble saying "break a leg".

When we were there in July you could get your sandwiches customized at BC Marketplace. HTH.

Rip Tide = it was next/behind the Bell Services Desk. A small bar. They put in a wall and made it that small private room that is part of Cape May Café. Rip Tide was there for about the first 3 years I worked there.

Does anyone know if the Crews Cup is a quick service on the dining plan?

Crews Cup Lounge is next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse and is not part of the dining plan. If it does become part of the dining plan, it would be a table service. The food in there is great!!!!! Love the burgers!
