Water Delivery FAQ

You ordered water from Amazon?

Yep. :goodvibes It was the same brand as Costco -- Zephyrhills or something or other, Nestle's regional brand in FL. It was a couple bucks more than Costco but we had a gift certificate just itchin' to be spent and we've got the Prime membership so it was 2 days shipping. It worked just the same as Costco with the address though, no problems at all. :)

Oops, I realized a mistake I made earlier...

I meant the addresses and formatting found in first post of the Shipping to your Resort Thread. The beauty of having the water sent -- besides not having to carry it yourself or pay the exorbitant pricing for Dasani :crazy2: -- is that both Costco and Amazon ship via UPS so there are no worries about it getting lost in the Disney Mail system. Even with some resorts conference fee, it still works out to a much better price for water, especially for fish like my family. :goodvibes (And much better tasting to boot. ::yes:: )

THANKS!!! :thumbsup2

I have Amazon prime so I am going to order a case of water from there to be delivered to AoA. How far in advance should I do it? Just 2 days before, or what? Thanks!!

I really don't understand why Disney won't make cases of water available to guests at a reasonable price through their resort shops. It makes no sense. They could still over-charge in the parks for bottles of water, but if so many people have it shipped why not just provide the convenience? :surfweb:

It's all about making a buck...or two or three. We ordered two cases from Staples....got free shipping and it was at the resort waiting on us at check in. :thumbsup2

I have prime too.. can I make a suggestion? order on costco.com if you can, it's much cheaper than the prime rates. shipping is included and it's like $8 and change for the same case. They are delieverd UPS so you have to account for no deliveries on the weekends. If I am arriving on a Friday or Saturday I order Monday/Tuesday at the latest. Hope this helps! :)

Do you have to be a Costco member to order? We don't have a Costco so I don't know. We're arriving on a Friday.

I don't believe you do. I have heard of some saying there is like a few cents up charge if you are not. Either way it's cheaper than Prime so it's worth a shot! I would order on the Monday to be safe. I always do my mailing label

Guest "Smith" arrival 1/2/13
then the address... it's nice they ship UPS because USPS can mess things up with deliveries the way their mail is set up

Costco's website will no longer accept Disney resort addresses. I tried to deliver to SSR two weeks ago and it doesn't recognize the address. We used to use Costco.

I have heard this over the years... but I just did it a week ago for a friend going to POP and I went in January and delivered with no problem. Maybe certain resorts or the way the address is written? :confused3

I know SSR's didn't work. In my saved addresses OKW and BCV were in there, but I didn't try those. Maybe it was the SSR address.. :confused3

Does costco, amazon or staples still deliver cases of water to POR? We arrive on the 13th so what day should I place the order? Is one better than the other? Do they have poland spring or is it disani? I think family gets free shipping with amazon.

I haven't read all of the replies so I apologize if someone has already suggested it. Last year we ordered from Walmart. We got a few cases of water as well as sunscreen, snacks, PB and J, etc... It wasn't a problem at all. We also got free shipping too. My dad is retired military so my mom went over to SOG to get bread and other items that couldn't be shipped. But I have heard there is grocery delivery, I think it's garden grocer?

I think this used to be a problem a few years ago because the Costco checkout system was verifying addresses against a database that didn't accept Disney resorts as "real" street addresses. My understanding is that at some point, the system was updated and this is no longer an issue. As a longtime Costco member, I have a vague memory of encountering this years ago when I wanted to ship some water to POP. The website checkout showed me some kind of red error box claiming that POP's address did not exist or some such nonsense.

You can purchase a case of water from the Hess station for $5.99.
There is one located within walking distance from downtown Disney.
We did this on our arrival day this year, April 8. We walked over and split
a case of water into 2 of the reusable bags that you get at the grocery store.
12 bottles in each bag. Although a bit heavy, it wasn't too bad to carry them back to the bus stop. (The one located close to the old pleasure island) My DBF also bought 2 twelve packs of soda for a good price. We each carried a 12 pack of soda and twelve bottles of water in the bags. Well worth the time and the money we saved. Nice to have cold bottles of soda and water in the resort refrigerator. Although we have ordered water in the past from Costco, I would go this route again the future.

We just ordered a case of water from Staples for $5.99 (free shipping) last Wednesday night (well really very early Thursday morning) and it was delivered to Pop Century on Friday.

So...Staples or Amazon?

I need the water at Pop Century on August 11 - when should I order?

We have always used Costco or Walmart, but not this time..

Thanks!

Thanks. I'm ordering water , cereal and a few coloring art supplies to keep my daughter busy. Sure beats trying to shop myself or lug from home.
