Allons-y! UPDATED 6/18: This is the end...

That song is actually the one that always means "Disneyland" to me, maybe because I never really watched the movie? Anyway, apparently I have used it enough times on edited trip video (from my childhood, etc.) that when my 2-year-old hears it, she also says, "Disneyland!" This from the one too short to even ride Splash Mountain...

Great trip report so far!

The words to the Splash Mountain song are "Pretty good, sure as you're born" if I remember correctly. Of course, my boys would sing your version just because it's wrong. They love the misheard lyrics videos on Youtube!

Huh, well those words definitely fit. I was just listening to this song on the way to work this morning on one of my parks music CDs :)

I can believe that. I think for me Grim Grinning Ghosts from HM does that.

We had tickets for the WB Studio Tour at 8:45 am, so I think we set our alarm for around 7.

I would recommend ordering your tickets online before hand, we ordered ours 3 days before and several of the times for our day were already sold out.

Also don't forget to use the discount codes! We used CONAN and one other and got $8 off each ticket. Just google WB Studio Tour discounts and they'll come right up, and you can stack codes which is sweet!

Before we left I took a couple room pictures:

The DL shuttle was parked literally right outside our door, which would have been convenient had we ever actually used it...

We grabbed some breakfast in the lobby, it was a pretty sweet breakfast. They had yogurts and lots of fruit and bagels and toast and probably other things that I am forgetting.

On the way we saw this really weird truck and I made Brian take a picture:

IMG_1665_zps7794645a.jpg

At first I thought it was a moving truck and that all the stuff behind the little dog was furniture and boxes. But when we got closer we realized it was just boxes of packing materials...

first of all, why would you put your little dog in the moving truck??

second of all, it looks like the dog is just traveling with packing supplies and no real household items.

I am very confused by this.

If you are driving from Anaheim, give yourself plenty of time. I think we gave ourselves an hour and a half and it was not enough, there was a lot of traffic and we were 15 minutes late (and panicking about it).

I'm not sure why we are always late to our studio tours :( I guess we just underestimate the traffic and don't feel like getting up any earlier.

We had entered the WB Studios into our GPS, and once we got in the general vicinity there were signs directing us to the Studio Tour area.

Parking was $7 and the lot was in a nice, shady (as in trees, it was a very safe area).

IMG_1799_zps9a6caf36.jpg

The parking is directly across the street from the check in building. The employees were super nice about us being late and checked us into the tour that was starting in 2 minutes (I imagine if that tour had been sold out we wouldn't have been let in, since there is only so much space in the golf
cart, so be on time). There was room for about 10 + the tour guide in the cart, our tour had 8 people including us.

There were two girls from Sweden, a Japanese couple, and a super annoying stage mom and her daughter. The daughter was actually really nice, I'm not sure if she realized that her mom was trying to live through her.

Inside the check in building was a coffee shop and a little gift shop that had lots of TV show stuff. We didn't buy anything because you can find all of it on the internet (didn't the internet just ruin specialty stores??).

There was also a bathroom in there.

The tour began in a little movie theater where we watched a 5 or 10 minute intro video about the Studio. It was basically just like a big movie trailer.

After that we exited to the golf cart. If you go in the morning, be sure to wear a sweatshirt because there is quite a bit of driving around outside. Was I supposed to be constantly cold in California?!

We had a little discussion about which tv shows filmed there and which shows we liked. Stage mom and daughter loved Big Bang so I had to let slip that we had tickets (you gotta get your kicks where you can, people). Of course they wanted tickets too but I told them they were sold out.

We started out by driving around the lot and looking at all the fake streets and building facades.

IMG_1689_zps83a871a8.jpg

The water tower!! But we didn't see any Animaniacs.

IMG_1690_zps1bfaaa2d.jpg

Apparently this is used as the train tracks for ER. There were a lot of ER outside locations, but we never watched the show so didn't pay too much attention to those.

IMG_1694_zpsa7022aed.jpg

We eventually ended up in a little town with a town square that had houses that you could film inside.

Workers were 'dressing' the small town set for Hart of Dixie (the town square was also the Gilmore Girls' town, Star's Hollow).

IMG_1708_zpscde3afdd.jpg

Actually, this might have been for Suburgatory. I think our guide said the town square was used for Hart of Dixie, but at the time they were getting ready to shoot Suburgatory. Once again, I don't watch either, so I couldn't say.

IMG_1709_zps8f89eede.jpg

IMG_1710_zpsba7706a1.jpg

I did watch Gilmore Girls, so I do recognize that gazebo.

And I believe this is Lorelai's house and shed:

IMG_1718_zps1e078211.jpg

We parked the cart and got to go inside several houses.

IMG_1715_zpsb6f83b0d.jpg

It was neat to see, there were no second floors, that was where the crew set up lights and cameras.

We went inside a Hart of Dixie house and the Gilmore Girls house.

Usually the house are left empty, and each show has to 'dress' the inside of the house for their particular show. All the furniture and decorations can be rented from the WB prop house, which we will see in a bit (spoilers!).

We got back into the cart and drove around some more streets.

IMG_1725_zpsd381b37e.jpg

This fellow made quite a big show of bowing and waving as we drove by.

We got to go inside the studio for the Mentalist. I think the thing about this is you'll go inside whichever studio is available at the time. The Mentalist was filming on location somewhere so we could go inside and explore.

While inside we were given the pleasure of listening to stage mom and daughter talk about being on the set for the Big C. Which would have been a neat story to hear, but I hope everyone knows just what sort of show off attention grabbing people that I mean.

No pictures were allowed. It was pretty neat, once again this is another show we don't watch but it was fun to walk around and see all the sets.

Next we got to go inside a scene from a very well loved tv show.

IMG_1737_zps3fc83f62.jpg

Our guide explained that they usually don't save sets. Sometimes they will for very popular shows but they are usually packed away until a museum or exhibit wants them. However, they have the Central Perk set from Friends set up. We got to look around and even sit on the sofa and take pictures. It was incredibly detailed. Any Friends fan would love it.

We piled back into the golf cart and were off to our next destination!!

We stopped at the prop warehouse and got to walk around. This was very neat, we learned about how props are rented and cataloged.

IMG_1741_zps2c1ded83.jpg

IMG_1742_zps924f0b66.jpg

Sometimes they had identifying pictures or name cards so we could see if the props had been in anything famous, but most props did not. We mostly stayed in a hallway and were able to peek into the bigger rooms along the way.

IMG_1743_zps14c6f250.jpg

Creepy.

There were a few things we got to play with for photo ops:

IMG_1746_zps61b0ad6f.jpg

I am pretty intimidating, if I do say so myself.

They had a big display of alot of Argo documents, all the employees seemed pretty proud of Argo since it had just won the Oscar 2 days previously.

Austin Powers car that Tom Cruise drove.

You also get to take a picture in front of a green screen for a surprise (I won't spoil it) movie photo that is free! Ok I will spoil it: its the Hogwarts train!

If I remember I'll try to scan the copy of the picture tonight and add it.

We then drove around the actual studios and our guide pointed out what was filmed where. One of the studios was being prepped for pick up shots for a new movie, something with Will Smith, but we didn't see any actors.

We drove around the Studios some more and then we parked at our final destination, the WB Museum.

You had to leave your camera behind as there are no pictures allowed in here.

You only have a short half hour to explore. There are 2 floors. The top floor is all Harry Potter. I am a huge HP fan, and it was incredible. There are costumes and props and a few models, everything was amazing. We started on the top floor to make sure we had time to do all of HP. You still need to
move quickly.

It had a full size Goblin, the Marauder's Map, tons of costumes and little props.

We almost finished the bottom floor in time. It had mostly costumes from everything like old movies to a new Batman display to Big Bang Theory and Hangover costumes.

The tour is now over, we got our cameras back and were taken back to the start building where you can browse the shop.

IMG_1801_zps1c271d8d.jpg

Some HP costumes in the gift shop on display.

If you want to stay in the area, ask your guide for a guide to places to eat in the area. He told us that if you want the best chance at seeing stars to eat at the Smokehouse.

We, however, had to get in line for the Big Bang Theory taping. So we headed out to find an In N Out. Of course, we got lost and spent so much time driving around that we should have just ate at the Smokehouse. We got our food to go and got lost trying to find the parking garage. We had to
stop and ask a WB security guard at one of the many WB lot gates.

IMG_1808_zps789c7aa2.jpg

There he is!! my darling little Guido!! sooooo cute.

It was too early to park in the garage for our show, so I dropped Brian off to save us a spot in line and parked on the street by the parking garage. Brian was in line at 12:10. We would not be let into the show until 5:30 pm. Getting there at noon is necessary for this show.

I will not bore anyone with these next few hours. We sat on benches in a parking garage and were chilly and bored. It kind of sucked, but it was a nice rest for our feet from Disney madness.

There were 3 types of tickets:

VIP: given out from cast and crew, they could give as many as they wanted and these people could show up at 5:30 and still be let in before us,

preferred tickets: a small allotment of these are given to the first so many people who apply for tickets online. Not sure how we missed these, we got our tickets 5 minutes after they were available, the site kept crashing and it was a mess since so many people were trying to get them,

Then you have the good old standby tickets. The standby tickets only were let in after all the VIPs and Preferred people got in.

So you can imagine our stress and sadness as VIPs continue to show up until well after 5 and were escorted right in, as we waited anxiously. They finally let about 10 standby people then cut us off. Brian and I were numbers 18 and 19. I figured we would get in no problem (haha, I had some misconceptions). We were finally let into the show at 5:45, and only 28/29 standby people made it in that day. There were maybe 150-200 people waiting. I felt so bad for the rest of the standbys. We were there at noon, I am sure the cut off happened at some point around 1 pm. So some poor people waited for over 4 hours and didn't get a seat.

Don't let this scare you off seeing a tv taping, none of them are this bad except for Big Bang. You can show up for most of the hours an hour and a half before seating and get a seat fine.

We were herded through security and walked to the studio. Once inside we walked up the bleachers and saw that most of the seats were full. Brian did some quick multiplication and we think there were about 260 seats. It was at this point I realized we were lucky to get in at all.

Most of our group was seated in the very back, but we got pulled from the group to go sit in some vacant VIP seats in the second row from the stage on the very left hand side.

I tried googling pictures of the set so I could show you (they take everyone's phone and camera and stuff) but they really do a good job, I can't really find anything except these 3:

Just a few notes:

They showed us last week's unaired episode to get us into the mood. It was a Disneyland episode!!

Oh I wished we could have seen this one tape. It has aired by now, so if you watch the show its the one where the boys visit an elementary school and the girl's go to Disneyland to get princess makeovers.

After that, we are introduced to our host. He is a stand up comedian who entertains the audience in between takes.

Then they immediately start filming. There are only 3 sets that are in our line of sight.on the left hand side, right in front of us is Penny's apartment. Then you have the hallway, and the boy's apartment. Every other scene is filmed off to the left or the right hand sides, and the audience watches from tv monitors.

For our particular show they filmed in the laundry room and Howard and Bernadette's apartment, so we watched those on the screen.

It was neat seeing them film a stair scene. They film the actors walking up and down the stairs, then quickly switch out a plant or two and the apartment numbers and voila! they are on a different floor.

My favorite scene was the one they filmed in Penny's apartment, of course, because it was right in front of us.

Also, Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny, is super hot in real life. I know she is pretty on the show, but it is hard to explain, the camera just takes something away.

We also had a DJ in the stands with us to play songs in between takes. He played Call Me Maybe while they were in Penny's apartment and Penny and Bernadette were dancing, which was cool. Then Amy joined in, but did the dance in character which was even funnier.

We were amazed at how well Jim Parsons (Sheldon) did his lines. You know how Sheldon speaks pretty quickly and has to say all these technical terms and such? He never made a mistake...not even once. Very professional. And he stayed in character the whole time, even between takes.

Most of the scenes they did 2 takes just to be sure they got it. Sometimes if they felt the audience wasn't laughing enough they would switch up the jokes and try something different.

A few hours into it we were fed a slice of pizza and a bottle of water.

It finally wrapped down and Penny and Leonard came up into the stands to thank us all for being fans.

I was very sad that I couldn't pick out my laugh when the episode actually aired, I have a fairly distinctive laugh but couldn't hear it.

I was upset when they were done, I had read on a blog online that a few of the actors will always stick around for autographs afterward, but no one stayed tonight!! I was pretty sad. We filed out, and when we got back to our car and had access to our phones we discovered that it was 11:30!!

Geez, I knew the taping was taking a while but I didn't know it was that long! We had planned on stopping for dinner afterwards, but it looked like that was out. I drove back to the hotel very sleepily and we crashed immediately.

Coming Up:

the DL hotel! and an EMH at Carsland!!

We also have a dinner reservation at Carnation Cafe.

Awesome time at WB! How young was the girl on your Studio tour? Trying to decide if/when my kids would want to take this. I think my teens would enjoy it.

We love Big Bang, but that's a long time to wait and then a long taping. Probably a really cool once-in-a-lifetime experience, though. Have they aired your episode yet? Which one was it?

PHXscuba

I think she was 17 or 18. I believe there is an age limit, maybe 12? Yeah, I definitely think it would be better for teens. Not sure if young kids would think it was fun to drive around talking and looking at fake buildings, the prop warehouse probably wouldn't be too great for a young kid either, car museum might be fun.

Yeah I don't think we would do Big Bang again, it was exhausting. Yes our episode did air, it was the one with Howard's dad's letter :) I was really hoping we'd get a good guest star, like Will Wheaton, but it was still good.

Today was probably one of my toughest wake ups. I knew that we were switching to the DL hotel(!!!!) and I was super excited about that, but we had been up very late the night before and my 'no rest on vacation' rule was starting to catch up to me.

DCA opened at 10 am today, so the hotel early entry started at 9. We needed to be checked into the DL hotel so that we would have access to that early hour, so we needed to be packed and ready and out of the Candy Cane early. In fact, I don't even want to try to remember how early we were up, it was very very early, lets leave it at that.

We got everything loaded into 00Sassy and I checked out while Brian grabbed us some breakfast and fruit for a snack later. I got my nice 10% off each night at Candy Cane, good for the next year. Hmmm, will we be able to use that??

Luckily we made it over to the DL Hotel without getting lost and we parked in the self parking.

IMG_1822_zps7ab6806d.jpg

IMG_1824_zps8ccd14c1.jpg

There was no one at the check in so I got to go up right away. A very nice older man checked me in. He was even able to find a room that was ready immediately!! In the Adventure tower, which I had requested. He gave me our tickets and info (Brian was watching cartoons in the kid's area while I checked in, thanks Brian).

IMG_1825_zpsc11fc7d1.jpg

IMG_1826_zpsd6569cc6.jpg

The chairs in the lobby are teacups...why has no one else ever thought to do that before?!

We quickly headed off to our room and I tried to abstain from taking a million pictures, since we were on a mission to get into the parks for that early entry. We dumped our luggage and did the quickest oohs and aaahs over the room that I've ever heard of.

We speed walked through DD and were through the gates and waiting to go about 10 minutes til 9. This really wasn't bad considering all the things we had to do that morning, I had wanted to be there a bit earlier and there was quite a crowd ahead of us.

IMG_1828_zps4de91d76.jpg

IMG_1829_zps54137cff.jpg

DISBoards knowledge...ACTIVATE!!

I informed Brian of the wide right and we made our way as far into the crowd on the extreme right as we could.

And then I saw this little boy. Dressed as Toad. Who isn't even a Disney character. But is probably one of my most favorite characters of all time. Most awesome little boy ever.

IMG_1830_zpse5185e43.jpg

Then we were off!! It was actually very organized and at a slower walking pace. We were able to move pretty far ahead by staying towards the right.

IMG_1831_zps80b2cb59.jpg

We made it to Carsland!!

IMG_1833_zpsfdac89ff.jpg

This part reminds me of the movie Zoolander (probably only the funniest movie of all time). The part where Zoolander is being told not to be distracted on the runway by all the celebrities.

IMG_1837_zps4be76823.jpg

Red has kind of this pleading look on his face, I think, like he is hoping someone will come to meet him soon.

IMG_1838_zps350cdbe8.jpg

Adorable Red was on our left side ready for pictures (never thought I'd call a firetruck adorable), there were amazing gift shops all around us! But we couldn't be deterred from our goal and we quickly made it to RSR!!

IMG_1840_zpsf15c5a68.jpg

We were nowhere near the first people in line, but it was still pretty quick. We walked in the queue until we made it to the very last little building, so we had about a 15 minute wait in line. Not bad, I'll take it.

We did the same RSR wide-right-EMH trick and I'm glad we got to walk the queue once -- I think it would be much less enchanting if you were in it for 2 hours. My older kids both exclaimed over the bottle house because we saw one at Knotts last summer.

Whoa, what a lot of updates at once! I can't comment on everything (though I enjoyed it all) but I just had to say my DH -needs- to go on that Universal tour. He would absolutely flip out (can guys do that?) over the Friends set.... (and, to a lesser extent, to some of the other stuff. :) )

I actually just now noticed how the light comes through the bottles in that pic you re-posted, it is very neat :goodvibes

Yeah I am glad we got to go through the queue, its really neat. But not 2 hour neat.

Oh yes guys can flip out :thumbsup2 And its actually the WB tour, wouldn't want you guys to go on the Universal one and then him to be upset that there was no Friends set haha.

So we finally got to ride together. I felt safe having my camera out this time since I had rode before and knew what to expect.

And even though we lost, Mater and Lightning reminded us that really, we'd all won, because we made new friends.

IMG_1884_zps6845ce4e.jpg

Figment rode in the backpack because he was afraid. He only likes imaginary thrills.
IMG_1886_zpsf5408176.jpg

I probably could have benefited from a hair band.
IMG_1888_zpsc2b979d4.jpg

Then we were off to ride Mater's ride and we only had to wait for one ride cycle before we got on.

IMG_1896_zpsa0a0438f.jpg

Figment thought the ride was terrifying and screamed his head off the entire time.

IMG_1893_zps00ba6154.jpg

This ride was actually a bit rougher/wilder than I expected. It was a good thing, just unexpected.

I love this petting zoo with the baby tractor photo op:

IMG_1898_zpsc2c574c1.jpg

We still had about 20 minutes left in our extra hour, so we debated getting in the RSR FP line but ultimately we decided to head to the Pier area.

IMG_1900_zps6bfbf2c9.jpg

TSMM actually had a 0 minute wait and they were letting people in the exit so you could get right on. I've never seen anything like that!

A Wheezy car was waiting for us!

IMG_1903_zps9c58456d.jpg

Brian just barely eeked out a win, which I guess is ok since I rule at Buzz's Astro Blasters.

IMG_1904_zps6cedfafe.jpg

IMG_1907_zps2c0408f1.jpg

At this point I lost my mind and decided I wanted to try to make a break for the RSR FP line. I think opening was in 5 minute. So instead of riding TSMM again with 0 wait, and then jumping into line for Screamin, we took off and walked...and walked...and walked...I think the end of the RSR FP line was on the Hollywood street. Boo. Not my smartest moment. If this happens again I'd just have us go on TSMM until park opening, then jump into line for Screamin.

We stood around looking lost for a few minutes while we decided what to do.

Since we were very close, we decided to help Mike Wasowski and Sully save the day again.

We made sure to load up on nutritional snacks in the queue:

IMG_1910_zps87ae5921.jpg

I love this scene with Boo singing in the bathroom. I love her song and think its hilarious.

OK, we were walking towards this backdrop after Monster's Inc and I was like wow...how is the sky so impossibly blue and pretty with all those clouds...then I was like oh. That is a fake backdrop. Get some more sleep Rachel, k?

IMG_1916_zpsb38f289b.jpg

Not having a plan as to what to do next, I decided I should take my ride on TOT. Brian's stomach can't really handle this ride too well, and I wanted to go on to compare it with WDW's TOT, so Brian settled in on a bench to wait while I rode.

It was a terrifyingly bright and sunny morning. Haha, doesn't really look as scary as it does at night, does it?

IMG_1917_zps7354619c.jpg

IMG_1918_zps63424302.jpg

TOT, coincidentally (or not), only had a 13 minute wait.

I just really think this ride is very fun. The anticipation...the twilight zonieness...the abject and sheer terror...

Ok so there were 4 little kids in the front row of my elevator. All of them screamed during the first drop, which is normal. People naturally scream when faced with a potentially life ending free fall. Except the youngest little girl kept screaming, and screaming, and screaming. The poor girl was absolutely terrified of the ride and ended up in tears at the end.

Poor thing.

We ended up in the gift shop and I found a couple things I wanted, including a TOT bellhop tshirt I thought would be perfect to wear in the next TOT 10 mile run. But then I didn't end up buying any of it. Oh well.

We headed down the Hollywood street next:

IMG_1919_zps056bf140.jpg

IMG_1920_zpsf0ba838c.jpg

Then Brian got some fastpasses for WOC that night (spoiler, sorry).

And I took a photo of this enormous bear. How in the world did he find a life vest in his size?!

IMG_1922_zps49c19419.jpg

Next it was time to head over to DL!!

IMG_1923_zpsd8fcde44.jpg

I think Disney does a real good job with it's construction facades.

IMG_1925_zpsad400446.jpg

Um yeah, our first stop was another trolley horse.

IMG_1930_zpsc0c75520.jpg

Meet Eddie. As of early March 2013, Eddie is the biggest trolley horse Disneyland employs.

He is kind of like a small elephant.

IMG_1927_zps8d700c13.jpg

IMG_1931_zpsc535c79f.jpg

And a sight you will never see at WDW:

IMG_1932_zps8381fa26.jpg

Oh its just Aurora out for a stroll around the grounds.

IMG_1933_zps16f47dca.jpg

This is what happens when I ask Brian if he wants a picture with Eddie. He knows you are not to touch the horses, and he takes rules very seriously.

We were starving by this point since we'd just had a few pieces of fruit for breakfast, so our next stop was...

IMG_1934_zps15d158d7.jpg

Then I took the scariest picture of the trip:

IMG_1935_zpsf462e4b9.jpg

I didn't notice at the time, and this guy seriously scared me when I was going through my pictures later. He does not look pleased. And seems to be looking right at me.

IMG_1936_zpsdffb4b27.jpg

Corn dogs were delicious. I left their clothes on in this picture since they were modest.

My trip notes are a bit sketchy at this point but I believe we got a FP for IJ and took some pictures along the way:

IMG_1941_zpscd997ab7.jpg

This bird loves the dole whip!! He knows whats tasty!

IMG_1942_zpsc6aaaa59.jpg

The lines for dole whips were insane this whole trip.

Then we decided to take a long walk over to ST. After riding, I was super excited to see this guy and I immediately ran after him along with all the little boys.

IMG_1946_zps785b5346.jpg

IMG_1948_zpsbfc33da9.jpg

Then it was time for a spin on Space Mountain. Soooo much better than WDW's. I love this ride.

IMG_1958_zpscccaad28.jpg

Next we decided to take a relaxing ride on the Railroad.

Next stop: New Orleans!

This next snack stop will be a surprise to no one:

Very pretty:

It was about time to head back to the DL Hotel for some much needed rest, relaxation, and exploration :)

Goobye Guido!! See you soon!!

IMG_1972_zps65c457fe.jpg

We had a brief stop into World of Disney:

IMG_1974_zps71c30531.jpg

I liked these little hats:

I would like to have this:

Our view:

This picture was in the bathroom and I love it:

IMG_1996_zps86b7a999.jpg

Who doesn't want a little Jungle Cruise in their bathroom?!

We were supposed to take naps, but I think we just lounged around and Brian used the free wifi and I glued my eyes to the tv and watched all the Disneyland promos.

We had a reservation at Cafe Orleans for 5:30 so eventually we did have to get ready and get moving.

During our rest time we had a small discussion and decided we wanted to update our tickets to 5 day park hoppers. Because of our late arrival time to the parks on Monday, we had missed out on doing all the Fantasyland rides without a wait. We thought it would be a good idea to use the DL hotel early entry to Disneyland the next day and spend about 2 hours in the park before heading out to Anza-Borrego.

So we stopped down in the lobby and took another picture of the adorable teacup chairs:

IMG_2004_zps4873164a.jpg

And then we were informed by the front desk CM that we would have to pay a boatload to add another day onto our tickets. We had got the heavily discounted Dappy Day tickets, so we'd have to pay the money we'd saved on top of the additional fee for another day.

This was super disappointing to me, I hadn't really thought of that and I was kicking myself for not just ordering 5 day tickets to begin with. There was no way I was paying back my savings, so we were not going to be able to go into the parks the next day.

The only bright spot during our front desk visit was signing up for the get up and go power walk for the following morning.

So we sadly headed back through DD on the way to the park.

A blurry photo of sadness:

IMG_2008_zps645ce14b.jpg

I stopped at the little guest services booth to make sure I couldn't upgrade my tickets without paying the difference, and of course I could not. I did take a picture of this tree. I thought it was interesting how far below the pavement the tree trunk goes:

I love the DLH photos. We stayed there pre-reno and I would love to go back. Is it wrong that I want a light-up headboard of my own?

The Dole Whip lines were 45 minutes during our trip too. I think I may have to get one early in the day if I want it.

DS16 saw the Stormtroopers on his side trip but we didn't. Based on all the people seeing them lately, I think they're getting more time in Tomorrowland. DH would love a picture with a Stormtrooper -- DS8 got his picture with one at the library during a special event and he was so jealous.

I considered ripping the headboard off the wall and tying it to the roof of the rental car, so no your wants are not wrong (not sure how I planned on getting it onto the plane, excuse me plane captain? Can I tie this headboard to the wing of the plane? thanks).

Dole Whip lines and Jungle Cruise lines were always insane during our trip! The secret to the dole whips is getting one immediately when the park opens :goodvibes We did that last year and even got a celebration pin that said "celebrating first dole whip of the day". That was a good one because later in the day CMs would read it, probably expecting to say happy birthday, and instead would be like Happy...first...dole whip of the day?

I am beyond obsessed with Star Wars and I practically ran to the Stormtrooper. He was doing one of those 'I am walking around not getting a line so come catch me' things.
