Krystal

You have a few of my favorites on your list, Via Napoli Yum! Le Celler:thumbsup2

I am just not a fan of planning meals that require us to have to go from one Park to another as I have found bussing back and forth can be stressful. We use to always use PH but that was back before you had to make ADRs and walk ups was more the norm. As long as you leave enough time to get to your ADR (1-1 1/2hr) you should be fine.

I'm going to try to make it back to the room for an afternoon break, especially when we're at AK or HS where we'd have to take the bus or drive, so hopefully it's not too much of a rush back and forth. :-)

Can I just say how much I adore my little princess? We're laying in bed cuddling, she's having her "bees" and looks at me and says " I go bye bye." So I asked where she's going and she says DISNEY! She's too much. This is a common exchange for us by the way. At least once a day. She's determined to get there. :rotfl:

Krystal 'Ohana breakfast is amazing!!!

Ok, so here's my list...Let me know what you think...this should give us a couple of QS/CS lunches and a couple of OOP breakfasts in the room (food we bring or use snack credits)

8/2
Chef Mickey's - dinner

8/3
Yak and Yeti - lunch
Via Napoli - dinner

8/4
Hollywood and Vine - breakfast (brunch)
O'Hana - dinner

8/5
Le Cellier - lunch
50's Primetime - dinner

8/6 (our anniversary)
Crystal Palace - breakfast
Cinderella's Royal Table - dinner

8/7
The Wave - breakfast
Rose and Crown - lunch
Narcoossee's - dinner

8/8
O'Hana - breakfast

Hopefully my TA is successful. :-) oh, tried the dining link to the old site, and it worked SO much better, but it wouldn't let me link my dining plan to my reservation. Weird.

New ones on the list are Yak and Yeti, O'Hana for dinner, 50's Primetime, The Wave, and Rose and Crown. With the deluxe dining plan, I like to try new places each visit. Any you'd get rid of or any you'd add if it were you? :-) I have plenty of time to make changes! ;-)

Hi friends!!! Here at my royal pacific room...staring out the window not wanting to pack....

I made a change to yc for August. It's cheaper than gf..and it is through the ta that cannot be named..lol...dh and I decided cl is NOT worth it. Yes unbelievable but I've acknowledged it. Jmho based on how hard we work...100 nt for even just one room is insane. I will do a quick report tomorrow..no pics...sorry. but I will say that universal is tied with wdw right now as best vacation ever!!!!!! And I am glad we skipped flower & garden.but I'm sad we missed lulusmom. Hugs!!

Glad you are having a fantabulous vacation!!!!! :goodvibes

Look at my ticker!!!!! EEEEEEK!!!!!!! :hyper:

Thank you Janet....I hope our DD's will be confident enough to let all the BS roll off.

About the Nov. plan, I am just hoping that it all falls into place! Will need some pixie dust!pixiedust:

Agree. and here's some pixie dust back at you! pixiedust:

So how do you guys figure out ADRs? I keep moving things around and then just as I think I have them set, I then decide it'd be better to go to this park on this day. Aarrgghh! How much do you pay attention to things like crowds, etc.?

:goodvibes Koh, can totally relate! We usually look at the park hours and EMH and just commit to selecting a park (most of our trips have been using base tix). We typically plan on 1 TS per day Also when a non park TS is in the mix, it opens the door for some flexibility for a park day. :)

I always pay attention to the crowds ::yes:: I use the crowd calendar on Easy Disney. It works.

Sue, in my usually disorganized state, have paid no attention to crowd calendars...:rotfl2: I should as they people say it is very useful.

Ok, so here's my list...Let me know what you think...this should give us a couple of QS/CS lunches and a couple of OOP breakfasts in the room (food we bring or use snack credits)

Koh, you have some favorites of mine on your list! Ohana’s and CM for starters…YUM!!! also we love PT and really enjoyed eating at Via Napoli’s in January. The Wave has certainly caught my interest to try as well as Y&Y. The BF at Ohanas is our favorite one by far as we love the Poly, and DD liked Stitch from way back. Since we have a love affair with Flame Tree we usually skip a TS at AK, but will look forward to your review of Y&Y. :goodvibes

Like Sheila not a big fan of PH but if you are planning downtime every day in the room then it will work well for you :thumbsup2 . Just a thought… with August being so hot/humid, will you all be hungry for two TS in one day? Our family tends to eat less in the heat. Although it is certainly nice to get OUT of the heat too and rest a while! :upsidedow(and have a cold drink :) I really like your anniversay plans for your family... perfect starting off with CP and ending with CRT at the castle. :goodvibes Can't remember, are you all on the Deluxe DP?

Janet Your right why come back :rotfl:

I do not like connections either only did it once but that was enough to last me a life time. Coming back from Minn/St Paul I once paid $600+ one way to avoid a connection. NW was the only carrier flying non-stop direct so they had me over a barrel.

Sheila, we are sisters at heart!! I would do the same as you did!! :goodvibes

Hi Pas!! So happy you and Brian had a great time!!:cool1: And YC will be fabulous in August!! And we WILL get to the Grand for Sarah  and hopefully meet up with Sue.:goodvibes Love ya and safe travels home!

Janet, yes, we are on the deluxe plan. That's where I run into issues because I want to get my money's worth of course (which means table service) but I don't want to be too stuffed to enjoy the meals nor running around without any flexibility. I do like doing a number of character meals though so the kids have that interaction and can get photos and autographs in the a/c! :-) afternoons I'm figuring we'll be back at the room for naps and swim time and showers/changing for dinner since it's so freaking humid in August! :-) we usually go through 2 outfits a day. Then enjoy the slightly cooler temps in the evenings and take advantage of evening EMH.

Krystal I love trying new places and having the DxDP does make that easy when you want to go back to your old favorites too. We're not doing any DP this trip going back to OOP since we are going for F & W Festival. but we have a few on the monorail we have never tried, Cap'ts Cooks, Kona and 'Ohana's, GF Cafe and The Wave. I can't wait.

Jeanette Love that you are having a great time at US! Why am I not surprised that you switched to YC from what I heard that is one great deal and you can take the kids over to SeaShore Sweets at BWI and your own private snacks in your room. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Hi RC friends! It's finally Friday!!

Missoutandabout-Can it be, has our spring finally arrived? I think we have turned the corner. :beach:

Jen- Your cruise plans sound fabulous! :boat:

Janet-I know I am behind, but it was such fun to read about the concert with Taylor Swift. Also, I was glad to hear you tend to plan without crowd calendars, too. That's me, too! I can only keep up with so much.

MM-1 week and 6 days till you all are in that beautiful lobby!:cloud9:

Koh-Your dining plans look very yummy! ::thumbsup2

Pas-I am glad you are having a marvelous time!:goodvibes

Have a great weekend, everyone! Waving hi and sending hugs to all the friends.:grouphug:

Krystal taking a break to head back to your resort is a Must in August. So nice to get refreshed the head back out for dinner. as far as breaking even with the DxDP in March We did 4 or 5 CS and still broke even, I never did tally up
From our last trip but I think we should save money this time since with the DxDP we order Apps and desserts that we could do without since we ended up wasteing a lot of food.

Aww, our Lily is just TOO ADORABLE!!! A true Disney girl through and through! :goodvibes ( By the way, you know how I treasure every text pic....that is a subtle hint for more. :rotfl:  )

I already switched back to CSR from Pop. i figured if I was already prepping myself for hating Pop, I should just spend the extra $40 and switch back to CSR. So now I can say I have stayed at all the Mods after our trip1:goodvibes

The TA that shall not be named .... I think I know which one you all are talking about but I'd hate to miss out on saving $$$$. Can someone pm me the name of the agency .... please!

krystal 'Ohana breakfast and dinner are both keepers!

yes, yes!! :thumbsup2

koh, like you we like to get our money's worth out of the meal plan. If not, than I rather pay OOP. With younger kids, and the price of the character meals, the DP is the way to go. :goodvibes And taking a break in that stinking august humidity is a must!! Although at times I fail to subscribe to my own words :rotfl2: Sometimes the 12pm break doesn't come to 3pm!!
We love evening EMH especially at the MK. It's fabulous! :goodvibes

Ginny, we are very alike in that regard...sometimes I feel like I should consult the calendars when everyone else speaks highly of it...but then I'm never that organized or efficient! We muddle thru and still have a great time!

And happy you like my concert news...:goodvibes Taylor does put on a great show and having Ed Sheeran was a huge plus. When Taylor and Ed were playing on the back stage, Sam was in heaven being so close to "Ed", her future husband (so she tells me...) We were never that way were we?? :upsidedow

Congrats on your change! CSR is a beautiful resort! Enjoy!
