The meals and the gifts from the fish extender look so fun. We canceled our cruise part but still loving read about yours.
The cabana looks so nice.

We were on when we finally found Ana. We have become quite good friends over time.

We just LOVE the cabana. And for me it has a second huge advantage. I have issues with my eyes and even wearing a hat and sunglasses don't keep out all the bright sunlight. So having somewhere to go and have actual shade is just awesome. No more crying on CC days.

Half term vacation 2013, Feb 16 - Feb 24

Day 4, February 19

“I could get used to this!” - part 4

Drinks done we decided to slowly walk along the water’s edge to the barbeque for some lunch.
We just wanted to enjoy a few more minutes in the sun, when we noticed a certain Captain walking along the beach.
No, not Captain Henry, Captain Jack! He slowly walked along the beach, pointed at people, stopped and posed for photos and made a few fun comments.

It was nice seeing him interact and we watched until he had come to the end of the beach. It was almost noon by now and we decided it was time for lunch.
So we walked down to the beach and slowly strolled along it. It was a pretty short walk and we both enjoyed it a lot. And after a short restroom break we headed over to the barbeque. Even though it was just past noon there was NO line at all and we were quickly handed a plate.
I got some salads, coleslaw, tomato, Greek salad and some potato salad, plus two ribs.

They were meaty and fell off the bone and I did not even have to use my fingers to eat them. Tom got some salads as well, a cheeseburger and some ribs.

We picked up some soft drinks, then walked over to a table, unrolled a napkin to get to the cutlery and started to dig in. It is so nice to sit at the barbeque station and enjoy lunch while on this beautiful island.
We looked hard to find Matija, as usually the Palo team runs that station, but we could not find him. Once we had finished our main course, we went to pick up some dessert and get some more drinks. Tom and I decided to share a chocolate chip cookie a la mode,

with a generous amount of vanilla and chocolate swirl.
We sat down at our table again to enjoy this treat as well. When we had finished dessert we made another restroom break and then slowly walked back to our Cabana.

We relaxed on the veranda and in the hammock for a while, enjoying some cold Evian water and soft drinks out of the fridge, before we decided to head back into the ocean for another swim.

Very cool that Captain Jack roams the beach. I will definitely be on the lookout for him.

I am glad you like the "drink in front of beach" photo.
Tom and I are so looking forward to returning there in the summer.

We have often seen him walk along the adult beach. Especially when the water is a bit on the cold side, adds more entertainment for the adults.

There is nothing better than an adult only area.

Wow, I just can't get enough of the CC pictures. I am working on my CC day right now too and I just wish I was there right now instead of cold and ugly Ohio.

I'm such a bad Diser! I've been reading along but haven't been posting since it's been so busy at work and then when I get home, I'm sewing like a mad woman on Disney dress/backsack orders all while trying to keep the house in order.

There's simply too much to post comments on so I'll just post on the last couple of updates. What a lovely day on Castaway Cay! The cabana looks amazing and so does that fellow named Jack Sparrow! I could get used to lazing around watching him go up and down the beach.

I have a silly question... more something I just kinda wondered about. With all those drinks in your fridge in the cabana... is there a restroom in the cabana? I imagine there has to be one close...or those drinks may pose a certain dilemma.

Captain Jack would be cool to see in that setting!

right?!! I just know if it were me... I would end up regretting drinking all those sodas (and I would drink them all just because they are there) and after all said drinks were gone... yup I would be making a mad dash somewhere.
