Just wondering how much it cost you to have your vacation staying at the value resorts?? Ours will come in at around $4000 for a family of 4(with one of us being free)!:crazy2: This includes dining and airfare for 4 also and pricing is for this year when in actuality we are not going until next May so this may be likely to change! :headache:

I priced staying that POP (will actually be staying at POR);

Total for package was around 2400.00 + 1800.00 (flight) = 4200.00
(that is for DW, DH, DD (8) and free DD 2 and the price for the package also includes dining plan for 8 days) that is with the current summer discount of %15.00 i believe

so sounds about right since you are including airfair...airfair for me being in SOCAL is always about half the money I waste on DWD trips

Here goes mine.

8/17 to 9/1. 17 days
2 adults and 2 Disney kids
Pop Century Standard room
Free QSDP
8 day MYW with WP&f
photo pass plus added to our package 3315.67

2 nights at pop before our package starts 250.00 no discount on that yet

Airfare out of Manchester Nh. 1200.00
Spending money 1700.00 the girls are doing PL but they will have the own money other than that. We are doing 3 or 4 TS meals so I should come home with a chunk of that.:rotfl2:

So basically 4765.00 before we even leave the house.

Ours for next week;

All star movies, 3 nights, 4 days. Me and DD, with flight around $1926 total. that includes air and the DDP plus park hopper.

If we stay at a mod it will be 4,000.00 if we stay deluxe about 5,000.00 this includes a 7 day stay with dining plan and park hoppers, but we will fly for free due to dh points. So we are deciding if 1000.00 extra is worth deluxe.

I did this calculation a while ago. I am staying at the AoA suites, so that's more expensive than typical for a Value resort.

6 nights at AoA with spring deal plus Orbitz discount = Approx. 1,590 including tax.
Park tickets from Undercover Tourist: 5 day MYW + upgrade 1 day to 6 day tickets = approx. $ 1044
Airfare x 5 out of DCA: $699
Food and tips: Approx. $900
Babysitting: Approx. $100

Total (not counting souveniers): Approx. $5300

I think I have decided on a split stay! But that will probably change tomorrow:lmao:, regardless we will be doing a value here is my break down:

8 nights-7 day park tickets base-DDP with the first 4 nights only (2 adults, one disney kid, one infant)
4 nights at Pop-with ticket ans dining
4 night room only at AOA nemo suite
Total= 3259.00
Flights= 639.00 (we fly out of a tiny airport that only flys Spirit so we get tiny prices)
Bag fees, dinner with no pla off days, tips and souvenirs- 650.00
Grand Total= 4548.00

YIKES!!!!!
This will of course not be what we really pay as I am sure some type of discount will be out there for fall

Honestly though I think you can get a really nice Disney vacation for around 2500-3000 for a family of 4 if you hit the right discounts and time of year and length of stay. Thinking of it as needing to save about 60.00 a week year round to go makes it seem a bit more affordable.

08/25 - 09/03: 9 Days 8 Nights
2 Adults
Stayed at art of animation with free QSDP and 6 days park hopper tickets -$1500.
Fights from Whitehorse to Vancouver - $800.
Flights from Vancouver to Orlando - Free on points
2 Days in Universal + Meals + Taxi - $500

All in about $2700 as we only bought a few small items!

I went May 23, 2012 - May 29, 2012

For 2 people at Pop Century it was 1732.74. That was with dining plan and airfare, her annual pass we bought there and it was 430$, I already had an annual pass. So 2100 for two people. And airfare was 894.40.

7 nights end of April 2013 at Port Orleans Riverside Preferred Room
2 adults, 1 child
6 day base tickets
$2,100
+ $500 petsitter (ouch)

so $2,600

airfare from NH : free on Southwest Visa 50,000 sign on bonus points
$500 of Disney Dollars on Disney Visa for food
gift cards from grandparents for souvenirs

Here's ours:

8 nights, Garden View room, POR and
7-day Park Hopper passes (2 adults, 1 child)
$2392 (CDN)
Direct flight from Toronto: $1227
Rental car: $187

TOTAL: $3806

Plus spending money for food, souvenirs, etc. We always bring about $1500

Grand total would be: $5306 (less $144 in points we used for AMEX)

I'll post ours!

We're a family of 4, going in May. I'll leave out the 2 extra hotel nights we had to purchase because we're flying out of a border city (we're Canadian).

$2257 4 nights at CBR with 5 days MYW tix, & DDP
$172 SUV rental
$900 flights incl fees for seats & estimated bag fees

= $4176

We're obviously going to need gas for the rental, money for tips, souvenirs etc but that is already put aside...not sure how much we'll spend but hoping under $1500 :)

so after all is said and done, with the spending money, extra hotels & airport parking, i'm looking at about $6000...I did'nt think it was that high till I added it up

We wanted to do our trip as in expensively as possible:

Two adults, 7 days at Pop, 7 day tickets for each person, no park hopping option, no dining plan = $1400
Two adults Airfare round trip on SWA = $400
No car rental, we used Disney transportation for everything, including to and from MCO.

November 2012.
8 nights @ POP
2 adults, 2 Disney kids, 1 infant.
Free QSDP with upgrade to Reg.
Including airfare, spending money,2 extra ADR's and Rental car.
$5100

We booked this morning.

Pop century 8/1-8/8, 2013
Preferred pool view (will change to lake view though)
5 day base tix
Quick serve meal plan
Trip insurance
Total: $2556.48

2 adult, 1 child, 1 infant

We're still debating taking a flight down to mco from clt. It might cost $500.
If not we'll drive down there which might be around $180 in gas.

Nov 2013-

2 adults. 2 juniors.
8 nights pop
RT flight for 4
5 day MYW tix no hop

Roughly $3200. That's not including food.

Our first family "value" vacation we stayed in a family suite at ASMu for 11 nights. We went to a bunch of parks, not just Disney but US, IOA, SW, BG etc. We also went to the water park and DQ.

There were 5 of us and we had free dining. With airfare and all expenses the first one cost us $7,000.

We took a few adults only trips and stayed off site and only paid around $2,000 for those trips.

Our second "value" family vacation with all 5 of us there we also stayed at ASMu in a family suite for 9 nights but added Discovery Cove ($1500 for one day) but that trip only cost us $6,000 because we got 3 of the tickets (airlines) with SW points/miles.

6/24-7/2 POR (8 nights)
2 adults, 2 kids
6 day MYW w/PH & WPM, DDP
Package $4259
air from Minneapolis $1100
No idea on spending $ since it's our first trip to Disney, but I'm hoping $1500 is more than enough.
Total $6859. Ouch. Hoping that I've way over estimated spending $$ since we're on DDP. Any thoughts?
