Not according to the US Coast Guard :rotfl2: Well, according to Wikipedia, not according to the US Coast Guard.

That will teach me to make guesses (I actually originally wrote "Is DL the acronym for Delaware? If so..." and then changed it).

I guess Aliceacc thought the same thing so that makes sense, but I was really confused as to why she had her stopping off in Delaware in between CT and Disneyland (of course I'm just guessing DL is Disneyland, maybe the OP does mean Delaware :rotfl2:)

Hi,

There can be only one Sam. Please meet me so we can settle this in an epic battle to the death.

Regards

Dang you, I now feel compelled to watch this and I had other stuff I wanted to do tonight. :headache:

I'm going to edit your post to be what I believe you are trying to say. That way, maybe people will be able to give solid answers.

I was going to go to Connecticut this year to see my family; however, I don't see it working out as planned. It looks like I will not be able to go this year and will have to go next year, instead. This means that I will have to fit two summer trips into one summer. I was planning on going to Connecticut for my 29th birthday and Disneyland for my 30th. Now I think I will have to do both trips in one summer next year. Do you think it can financially be done?

If this is what you mean, how the heck are we suppose to know? We do not know anything about your finances, vacation time, your husbands vacation time, whether he wants to go, or anything else pertinent really. This is something you would need to discuss with your husband and figure out all the logistics. Impossible for strangers to answer. Such a strange question. :confused3

Tink, are you saying you will have to plan two trips in one year? One to CT and one to Disneyland?

Only you will know if you have the finances and time off from work to take these trips.

What year are you planning to take these trips?

I hope you can do it.

Perhaps the OP will tell us everything we need to know to make that decision for her? I hope so.

I think she should go to Disneyland instead of Delaware. If it came down to a choice between Disneyland and going to Connecticut to visit family my choice would be go to Disneyland and Skype the family in Connecticut. You could even send them a post card.

Delaware, Disneyland, battling Sams, this thread is pretty amusing before even touching the OPs issues. Thanks for the smiles!

I've never heard of DL standing for Delaware. It's been DE and before that DEL.

-signed former Brookstone catalog operator. ;)

DL is the acronym for Delaware; since the OP used CT for Connecticut, I guess Aliceacc thought that OP was using acronyms for both states.

Right :)

I openly admit to being very confused by the Original post... at 6:14 am on a day off.

It's now 6:37 pm, I'm wide awake, and I have to admit that it's still pretty confusing:

I was going to go to ct this year to see family but I don't see it working so going to have to fit two summer trips in on for my 29 that would be ct and DL for my 30 big question van it be don money wise

As to DE/ DL... Sorry, it was the most logical thing I could think of.

Are we taking bets yet? I have not decided who I am rooting for.

Well the "Dis" Sam Gordon has previously claimed they are (allegedly) not the 9 yr old YouTube sensation of the same name but if the athleticism is in the name my bet is with Gordon.
