Do they really wait til the last day?

I applied for the CP on the 25th and had my phone interview the 27th. I saw on the fb page that today is the last day of interviews. Is it likely that they will have everyone's answers before the 19th? It seems they would have them out sooner but just kept the 19th as cushion if they hadnt finished. Anyone know anything about this?

Seems like it. I applied on the first day applications opened, had my phone interview on February 13th, and then was pended on February 15th. It's been over 6 weeks of pending now without a response. Meanwhile, the majority of people have been accepted within a week or two. I know that I'm far from alone in my current position, and it seems as if Disney does intend to put things off until the last moment. I've been watching the various Facebook groups and there haven't been any acceptances in quite a while.

I don't know if they'll go all the way until the 19th, but I do in the past that they have accepted/rejected people all the way up until the last week. So, while they may not go all the way until the 19th, they'll likely go all the way until that week. I can imagine that it might get tricky at the end having to place people because they have to be selective based on what spots & roles are still available.

How long is "quite a while"? I know someone that was just accepted 2 or 3 days ago. They're also currently sending out character performer acceptances in small waves (my friends was accepted as a character performer yesterday). Judging by the constant wave of new people joining the facebook groups, it seems as if they're sending out acceptances every day. But I could be wrong.

I haven't seen anyone post about being accepted this week, though I know that really shouldn't be considered to be "in quite a while". I'm just getting a bit tired of waiting after so long.

Last time, I was denied about 4 days from the final deadline. So they could conceivably go all the way until the very end.

For spring 2012, my daughter applied within the first week and was pending until the last week when she got accepted.

Good luck to those waiting. I know how difficult it is.
