WEEKS

We will all be on our way to Castaway Cay!! :dance3:

Darn! No unlimited internet! I was hoping for a better price per minute on 14 night cruises. Thanks for answering the ?.

At bedtime, we told the girls they'll sleep on the Wonder five weeks from tonightpixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

We look forward to meeting all of you on the 6th!

No cabin # yet but getting excited!
Do they sell wine in Ft. L. Gas stations? No not stellar wine but we are not serious wine people!
Thanks.

Beer and wine are available at grocery stores and places like Target and Big Lots. SOME gas stations might have it and I think most do sell beer. Liquor has to be purchased at a liquor store; however, I don't think liquor stores are open on Sundays. I live in Florida and I don't understand all the rules.

"Not stellar wine" from the gas station might be optimistic.

From the web... Read carefully it is confusing...

Purchasing Alcohol in Florida

Laws related to alcohol purchases in Florida provide different restrictions based upon the day of the week and the type of store. Under Florida alcohol laws, beer and wine can be sold in retail stores, supermarkets and convenience gas stations; however, spirits must be purchased at a package store. Alcohol of any kind is not sold by stores on Sundays, not can any bar, restaurant or any other establishment with a liquor license sell alcohol between the hours of 3 AM and 7 AM on any day of the week.
Good News for Miami Residents – We’re An Exception!

There are some exceptions to this rule, as a few counties in Florida (including Miami-Dade) allow the sale of alcohol any day of the week, 24 hours a day.

Just out of curiosity, am I the only one who hasn't received their cruise docs yet, or are others here still waiting too?

We are still waiting too. Our TA is in California so they have to make it to her and then back across the country to us. She is on vacation this week so I don't think we will see ours until end of next week. Oh well all I really want is a cabin #:)

Nothing confusing here. I just checked out the Total Wine and More website. They are open seven days a week in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. The even open early enough on Monday for me to go on my to drop off the car.

I believe the GTY cabin assignments aren't made until a couple weeks prior to the cruise.

...

Log into https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/castaway-club and drill down to your cruise. That's where we got our cabin number long before we heard from our TA.

Yes, I know we have been through the waiting game before but I can always hope. I think for our EBTA the *GT cabins were assigned around 10 days out.

GTY assignments are made any time between booking and cruising. *GT assignments are usually made within two weeks of sail date.

May I ask if you're using a car rental co. close to the port? We're thinking a rental might be easier than a car service.

My problem with *GT - less $ but a bit more unknown.

No documents here. We are VGT so won't get our cabin number for ages:-)worried:) but I think we still get your documents at the normal mail out time.

Well, we leave on this vacation 3 weeks tomorrow!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1: I have so much to do but I am trying to stay calm and pace things BUT I think I might be pacing things a bit TOO carefully!!;):worried::worried:

Still waiting for cruise docs here as well - tho they will go to our TA first & she will forward to us.

Scott and I signed up for our first 5K (walking) - a local one coming up on the 13th - so Castaway Cay will actually be our second race! Will be interesting to compare the two, since Spring has been so slow to come to Indiana this year.

Since our only other DCL cruise was in Alaska, we've never been to CC - what are some of your guys' suggestions/recommendations? FYI - we don't snorkel and are already planning on renting bikes.
