Going in the fall, with another family. Both families hav separate reservations. I'll be calling at 180+10 to make all ADRs. I know with most restaurants I will be able to do this with no problem. However, given that CRT is a pay before you go, can I make ther reservation for both families if I have their confirmation numbers in order to sit together, or will i have to prepay for the other family of 4 and work it out later? We definitley want to sit together.:confused3

Why don't you make one reservation for everyone, instead of two? You only need your reservation # to make the 180 + 10 and you are able to make ADRs for more people than are in your party. We are going with another family this summer. I made one ADR for all 11 people (there are 4 in my family and 5 in the other). CRT requires the credit card guarantee, but I told the CM when I made the ADR that the other family had the DP as well. It was no problem to make the ADR for all of us and I didn't have to prepay for anything. Of course I was told that due to our party's size we could be seated at separate tables, but that has yet to happen. Good luck and have a great trip.

Great. Thanks! my plan was to make one dining reservation. When I said 2 reservations, I meant the trip in general (differnet rooms, etc.), not dining sepcifically. Sorry for the confusion. I just didn't know if I would have to prepay for the other family of 4, since they wouldn't be on the phone with me.

Since it is a fully prepaid meal at the time of you make the reservation expect to pay for everyone who will be attending. Some people have reported that they were able to use more than one credit card when making the reservation. Or at the restaurant you could probably also have the other family pay the server and at the same time you have your card reimbursed.

If you're on DDP when you make the reservation you can make it for everyone, make no prepayment, put down a credit card to hold the reservation, and have the family that is not on DDP pay for their meals at the restaurant itself.

If you don't have DDP on your room reservation at the time you make the CRT reservation you would have to pay for it in full for everyone and have the other family reimburse you.

That is what i was hoping. I will have the dining plan, and so will they, but are listed as a seperate vacation package. So, when we get there, it will all be on the dining plan, just 2 families of 4 that will be sitting together as a group of 8.

If they're on the dining plan as well, they can use their own dining plan to pay for their meals.

Credits are not deducted from your account (or their account) until you actually get to the restaurant.

Book for a party of 8 and the rest of it will be sorted out when you get there.
