Corinna

Thanks or all the Easter wishes and I wish all of you a Happy Easter as well. I will be leaving shortly for family activites. Hopefully I can get back on here later tonight and wirte up the first post of the next day. :thumbsup2

Thanks for that info. I'll take time tomorrow and look it over. (at least I hope to, the days are just flying by)

We have the Bush Garden tickets. I was able to get 2 for free with my job and we just bought the other 2 online.
But if you have any connections for CW ones, I am all for it.

I am so excited and nervous to see and experience new things. Are you on facebook? If so we need to friend each other!

.

Not on Facebook but I'll PM ya.

Happy Easter everyone, and you Aunt Bop Bop!

I was so behind again. I'm so upset still that work internet blocks the pics. I loved spending lunch hours catching up!

The flamingo story is hilarious! I loved Abby's expression. You could tell that she had a full day and was tuckered out though at dinner! Did you have early or late seating?

LOL about the Nassau stalker! You must've been one hot mama that day! :rotfl2:

I'm so glad DS is now able to go all day without a nap or anything. We just have to keep him fed regular.

PS - for us Target is the popcorn store. Cause everytime when DS was little, we'd get the $1 popcorn and soda combo as a snack.

I have heard from others now that I am using flickr they can't see my pictures at work. But photobucket is such a mess. Just trying to find the ones I loaded up before is awful. They mixed them all up now. So frustrating.

I just love those character shots on the Dream in front of that light fixture. That might just be enough to get me to go ahead and try a cruise one day! :rotfl:

The girls look adorable on their way to dinner dressed as the Queen and Mad Hatter.

Katie would have had the same experience with the honeydew boat. She totally would have ordered it for the strawberries..... and totally been disappointed they barely showed up on the plate!

Wow! Claire is getting to be quite independent! Did you feel like you had been stood up on a date or something? :lmao: I love that you ran into Mickey roaming the ship though. I had to show that one to Katie. She wants to know how the ship was being steered with him out roaming the deck though. :rotfl:

YEAH Claire for trying karoake! Don't you just love it when they surprise us and do something brave? :)

OK, I'm all caught back up again. And if that happens, it means YOU are way behind! :lmao:

Happy Easter, Jen and family.

Great last update; loved the photo of DD on the dance floor!

So embarassed!!!

I knew you had gone on a trip, with some Disney time bookending a cruise. Heck, one of my "family" members even accompanied you!

So I kept waiting for the trip report to appear.

Didn't think to look on the cruise boards

Didn't try to read the itty-bitty writing in your signature that these approaching-50 year old eyes have trouble reading.

And then finally, I found this.

So sorry!

*******************************************

So I will try to catch up. So far I made it to AKL and your pool time.

I'm excited to read about your family cruise. This is such a great way for a multi-generational group to travel together. There are lots of different things to do for everyone with varying interests.

Love your boarding picture.

Grrr! On the forgotten shoes!

Cheescake Factory looked FABULOUS!

Great pictures from the plane at take off.

:rotfl2: at not recognizing your coworker. I am the same way. I sometimes have trouble placing people out of context. I'm better with names than faces.

Sorry for your wait for the ME bus, but at least you got primo seating. Fantastic pictures of the welcome arch!

The story of the Disney surprise for those kids was awesome!

Hooray for your arrival at Animal Kingdom Lodge. What a gorgeous, well-themed resort!

I'l be back for more later.

I know you would love the cruise once you got on.
Claire is famous for leaving me out of things, and pretending like she is mean to me, but when it comes down to it, if she needs anything she comes to her Momma. I even try to get her to go to Dad and she knows it won't be taken care of.
She really had a great time on this trip and branched out quite a bit too and tried new things. She talks about this trip ALL the time and once again yesterday she brought up how we need to do this again.

Thats OK. I know you have been busy and I have too. lately I am doing more reading than commenting on TR's.
We had such a wonderful time this trip. So many new things and experiences and to do it with a majority of our family was really fun.
I am writing slowly too. I just don't have enough hours in the day anymore. And in less thant 2 weeks we head to Colonial Williamsburg. My goal is to get our next day started and finished before we leave. I have a ton of pictures to edit though, so I guess I should get started soon. ;)

Day 6, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012

I think today I actually might have slept in till almost 7. Amazing, isnt it.

I got dressed and headed out to see how close we were to Castaway Cay. I soon saw signs of land.

It was another beautiful morning!

I took pictures around the ship as we got closer.

I could see even from afar that the island was brown from the hurricane, but I was still excited to be here.

After enjoying the view for a bit, I headed back towards the room.

Claire was still dead to the world, but I think I kind of nudged her to get ready.
I walked out on the balcony to see our view.

The Cast Members from the area were arriving as well.

Down the hallway, our family members were rising and enjoying the view as well.

I headed out once again. I think Claire had gotten up and was hanging with Mom and Dad if I remember right.
I wanted to go up top and watch us dock.

I thought I would check the deck outside of the Meridian, which is the bar between Palo and Remy.

SIGH!!!!! I wish I was there right now.

The outside deck is really a nice area.

It is a smoking area, however, for those who have issues with smoke, you wont want to go here, especially in the evening, where I believe they have cigar smoking as well.

Tie us up tight! We dont want our ship to float off to sea without us.

I believe the other side of the outdoor bar seating was no smoking though and these are the chairs over on that side.

Another glorious morning on the Dream. Can't wait to see what the day holds!

Wow, you must be caught up. LOL

I thought you'd appreciate the irony of that. Just don't get too used to it!

Poor Christen, I sat down last night to catch up on hers and found out it was all done!

LOL> I know. I can't believe how fast she went, ...well compared to me. :rotfl2:

Don't get used to me posting either. I want to get a lot more up, but I really need to get away from the computer and do other things. I am torn. :thumbsup2

Donald crashed through the boat made me :rotfl:

That's so sad about the island being brown from the hurricane. I had no idea it did that.

Lovely views of the island, Jen. Yes it looks a bit brown (so sad) after the storm although not as brown as when we visited two years ago after Irene.

Your family out on the veranda looks so happy to get to the island. Can't wait to see what photos you took during the day. :thumbsup2

Oh yes, you have basically been there on the heals of a hurricane.
I think we were the 2nc cruise after Sandy to go to the isalnd if I remember right, so I was really happy they did have a lot of the excursions still running. Afe got canceled, like the glass bottom boat, because of damages to the boat.

Castaway Cay does look a bit sorry for itself, but I can't wait to see more.

Corinna

Not her normal paradise look, but we still had a great day.

7 am is sleeping late for me too! :rotfl:

Wow - you look like you are up so high as the ship docks. That's crazy. Sure wouldn't want to fall from there.

So where do the CM's on the island actually come from? I guess I always thought they got off the ship.

Looking forward to your day on Castaway Cay!
