Biergarten or Via Napoli?

We plan on having two sit down meals at Epcot - yes, I know, not a popular idea - but we have a couple small children who will need some rest and we actually don't have a ton on our touring plan that day. We usually finish future world by 11am.

We KNOW we want one of those meals to be Akershus, as DD4 loves dining there. We have never tried Biergarten or Via Napoli and I'm really torn. I've heard great things about both.

It will be me, DD4, my sister 37, my nephew 2 - almost 3, and my mom.

Thoughts????? I know they will love the entertainment at Biergarten, but I've been dying to try Via Napoli

We were never thrilled about trying Via Napoli. Then two trips ago we tried it and fell in love with the place. It has a good lively atmosphere, and the pizza is amazing.

Don't get me wrong, the show in Germany is great but I think the food is much better, and alot more things for the kids to eat a Via Napoli. If you don't want pizza, they have normal italian/american style dishes.

The pizza is just really great, it has a great flavor and is awesome.

Biergarten is my favorite casual dining restaurant at Epcot and the kids like it better but with 3 children that young, I'd probably prefer to have a sit down meal at Via Napoli over a buffet. The pizza is very good at Via Napoli.

Via for sure. The food is far better than at biergarten. Atmosphere is nice too. Although I gotta admit the atmosphere at biergarten is a lot of fun.

Oh my...tough call as those are my two favorites! Biergarten JUST became a favorite on our trip three weeks ago. So different but both SOOOOOOOO good. I think I'd lean toward Via Napoli for lunch and Biergarten for dinner.

Such a hard decision!! I think we'll go for the Via ressie since I've heard Biergarten is easier to get and if we change our mind I'll call and see what we can get

So Via Napoli is kid friendly?

For a settled meal, Biergarten wins my vote. You can relax, watch the show, and pretty much hangout in a slightly dim lit area, VN on the other hand is well lit, and wide open. BG food I like better, though my DW likes VN better. Pizza is very good, other dishes, just OK. So my vote, Biergarten.

If cost is a consideration at all, going to Via Napoli and getting Pizza and Salad is definitely less expensive than the buffet at Biergarten. The Pizza is awesome. Don't get me wrong, we love both of these restaurants.

I agree. Via would be cheaper for sure. If you've been dying to try Via, i'd go with that. Pizza is AMAZING.

We have eaten at the Biergarten 3 times and never once had a good meal. Many choices offered taste as if it came from cans. Doesnt come close to any restaurants in Disney as far as food goes. Yes the show is good and the pretzels fantastic. 3 strikes and your out for me. Via Napoli is wonderful. Don't miss out on that.

If you've never been in Biergarten you could always take a quick walk in to just see the place.

I'm so glad to hear this! We have never been to Via Napoli and were looking at trying it with our 2 young kids (ages 3 & 6) for the very reason most of you have stated here...THE PIZZA! Not to mention the cost of the meal seems quite the value compared to most other sit down venues in EPCOT or anywhere in WDW, really, so we're excited to try it out.

Oh I can't wait to eat there. We have ADRs for Via Napoli our first night. . . . these comments are so encourageing. We've never been there and we LOVE good pizza. Have never been to Biergarten either though. One day.
