3 Princesses Hit the Parks!-A 2/13 Girls Trip TR!*Update 6/19, pg 23-The End!*

Your welcome :)

:goodvibes

Aww, new fantasyland is so cute, and Belle's cottage is just adorable!
Yikes to the headache, I hope it goes away soon! I used to get what felt like I curable headaches, then I found out it was my sinuses causing them and a Tylenol sinus does the trick. :confused3 there's not much worse than a bad headache to bring you down though. There's just no ignoring it!

Isn't it? I love Belle's cottage, so cute!

I wish I only had sinus headaches, but these are migraines, and sadly, sometimes OTC stuff just doesn't work, I hate it! If I catch it early enough, sometimes I can get one to go away, but usually in Disney, I'm not so lucky! :confused3 Annoying!

February 20 Part 3!

Hi everyone! I was just looking through the pictures for this update, and for some reason, I don't have many, and I stopped taking notes on this day way back when we were still in the Magic Kingdom because of my migraine, so I kind of have to go by my memory!

We left the Magic Kingdom after having our fantastic lunch at LTT, and my migraine was still really awful. When we got back to the room, Diane and Caitlin decided to go down to the pool for a while. Caitlin really wanted me to come in the pool with them, and I wanted to too, because the AKL pool is amazing, and it was our last night there, but my head hurt so bad, I just wanted to lay down. So I told them I'd try to sleep for a little while, and maybe I'd come down to the pool in a little while. I think I drank some water, tried to sleep, maybe actually slept for 20 minutes, and I still felt awful. I didn't feel like missing out on pool time, so I texted Diane and told her I'd be down in a little while.

I got changed into my bathing suit and went down to the pool and looked everywhere for Diane, she said she was just hanging out in a chair by the pool and I couldn't find her! Finally, I went over to the slide, because I figured that was where Caitlin would be, and found her, and she showed me where Diane was sitting! I must have walked by her like 10 times, haha! I can't really see people very well from far away without my glasses! :rotfl: She put all of her stuff in the locker and we went in the pool with Caitin for a little while. It was so nice, I'm not much of a pool person, I get bored kind of quickly, but this pool was pretty amazing! It was getting kind of cold though, since the sun was going down! Diane and I were starting to get cold, but Caitlin didn't care, she just kept going down the slide! Finally we made her come in the hot tub with us, which was awesome, I love a nice hot tub, so relaxing!

We got out and went back to the room, and we were planning to go to Animal Kingdom that evening, since it was open until 8, I really wanted to ride Expedition Everest at night! I was afraid it would make my migraine worse, though! :sad1: I figured I could just go and walk around and decide once I got there if I could do EE, if not, Diane and Caitlin could just go on and I could cry all night at missing EE at night yet again! :rotfl2:

We hopped on a bus to AK and were there within minutes, it's nice being so close to that park, since it seems like it always takes forever to get there! Even though my head still hurt, I thought the park looked so pretty at night, even just the entrance!

We went in and went over the bridge when you are walking up to the Tree of Life, and I saw all of those white birds that are always begging for food all hanging out in the trees, it looked so cool!

P1010539.jpg

(Sorry, that's the best picture I could get of them!)

Everyone was stopping to look at them, it was crazy how many of them there were in the branches!

Caitlin was on a mission to get to Everest, and I was holding her up with my picture taking, but I had to get one of the Tree of Life at night, it looked so pretty all lit up!

P1010541.jpg

Finally, we were on our way over to Asia!

P1010542.jpg

Every time I'm in Animal Kingdom, I think to myself how pretty Asia must be at night, because they have those strings of lights over the walkways, so they must look amazing when they are lit. Finally I was there in the dark, and Asia was absolutely beautiful with all of those twinkling lights on!

P1010543.jpg

Finally we made it to Everest! Even though my migraine was awful, I had to go on at least once! I've been wanting to ride it at night for SO long, and I finally had the chance, so I wasn't about to miss it! And I got to sit with Caitlin and finally go on a roller coaster with her, since I missed out on BTMRR earlier that day! And there was NO line, so we just went through the queue on got right on! :thumbsup2

P1010546.jpg

P1010548.jpg

Wow, Everest at night was awesome! It's SO much more fun at night, which is saying a lot, because it's one of my favorite roller coasters ever, so it's strange that just going on at night makes it so much more fun, but it DOES! It's crazy, so much scarier, not knowing what is coming next! I loved it so much, but unfortunately, my migraine did not, and I wasn't feeling that great when we got off. Diane and Caitlin wanted to go again, so I went over to the side where you can watch people come down the hill hoping I'd see them, but I didn't! :confused3 Not wearing my glasses again, haha!

P1010549.jpg

I think Diane texted me that since there was no wait, they were going to go again, so I just kind of walked around and took pictures of the Everest area, I couldn't get over how beautiful this park was at night! I don't think I fully appreciated it though, because of my migraine, so I can't wait to come back in December, hopefully the park will be open late and I can bring Brandon, I know he will love EE at night!

IMG_2729.jpg

I don't remember if they went on once more before they met up with me, I think they only went on twice without me. Caitlin tried to get me to go on again, but I just couldn't, if I had any chance of getting rid of this migraine and being ok the next day, I didn't want to risk going on again, which made me so sad, because there was NO line! People were just going on over and over with no wait, and if I didn't have a migraine, that's exactly what I would have been doing, I probably would have gone on 5 times in a row! Now that I think back, I should have just went on again, but I was in so much pain.

There wasn't anything else we wanted to do in the park, so we made our way out. One more picture of the tree, since it was even darker now!

IMG_2731.jpg

We were trying to come up with a plan for dinner, since we didn't have an ADR or anything. First we thought we'd go to DTD, but we didn't feel like dealing with the buses, so we thought we'd go to a resort. I suggested the Poly to go to Captain Cook's so we got in line for the Poly bus and went over there. I think we were considering going to the Grand Floridian too, but somehow we ended up at the Poly!

The reason I wanted to go there was because they have the Adult Grilled Cheese, and I've wanted to try it for a while. I figured they would have things Diane and Caitlin would like too, so I got that and Diane got a flatbread, and I'm assuming Caitlin got chicken nuggets!

IMG_2732.jpg

I loved this, it's so good, the bread was multi-grain and I think there were a couple of different kinds of cheeses in there! The only thing I didn't like was that there was a tomato on it, but I just took it off! Captain Cook's has those screens where you order everything yourself, so I wasn't sure how to ask for no tomato! :rotfl: The chips on the side were really good too, I think they are homemade potato chips, and they were great! (Haha, see, this is why I can never do a dining review, I'll leave that to Diane, she's much better at it! :rotfl2:)

Diane wasn't impressed with her flatbread, because it had weird things on it that if she could have actually talked to someone when she was ordering, she would have just asked them to leave off! I'm pretty sure she got a cupcake too, they had really yummy looking cupcakes there! :thumbsup2 They have a peanut butter and jelly cupcake that I probably would have gotten if it wasn't for my migraine, it sounded gross to me at the time, but now that I think about it, it's probably really good!

I don't remember if we went in the shops or not once we were finished eating, I could swear I bought Caitlin a Vinylmation at the Poly, but that might have been another night! See what happens when you don't take notes? :rotfl2: I think we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom and then caught a bus back to AKL. We had to pack up all of our stuff and get to bed, because early the next morning, we were moving to...

Bay Lake Tower!!

Up next...Bay Lake Tower and my favorite park!

I meant to say this last time, but thank you for that warning!!! I only have to avoid all the pictures for nine more weeks!!!

Poor you with your migraine. :( I swear, feeling anything less than your best at Disney is so upsetting.

Woah woah woah, flashback to Dani's most recent update! Too funny!

Animal Kingdom at night must be the coolest thing ever! It looks so gorgeous and just seems like it has a whole different vibe to it! I'm getting a lot from these pictures apparently hahah.

I love seeing your pictures of AK at night! I get to revive my AK nights all over again. :goodvibes So so so pretty! We too were pretty intrigued by all those birds in the trees. Who knew there were so many!

Really hope your migraine went away the next day.

Love AK at night. Just like you, I love those lights strung across the walkways in Asia. It's just so pretty. I'll have to try to ride EE at night during this upcoming trip.

Can't wait to hear what you think about BLT, and see some pics of the room!

I'm over here too! Enjoying reading along. I am so sorry you got another one of your migraines while at Disney. Hopefully you were able to get some sleep and it was gone in the morning!

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry that migraine was still bothering you. :(

We have NEVER been to AK at night and just seeing your pictures has me reviewing our plans for August and seeing what I can change so we can get there at night. I won't do EE (although Mark will), but I would love to see it all lit up.

I'm glad you got to ride EE at least once with Caitlin.

Your grilled cheese (minus the tomato) at the Poly sounds like something I would REALLY like.

HAHA I have to say, I think it's hilarious that you and I have such similar updates right now about AK at night! :rotfl: I am going to post another update tomorrow morning and we basically said the same thing about riding EE at night. Like, I'm dying over here at the similarities. Clearly, we would totally have a blast hanging out in Disney together.. just sayin'!

Anyway, I'm SO sorry you had such a terrible migraine. I'm lucky enough to (knock on wood) never have experienced one, but my Dad used to get really bad ones and they just sound awful. :( Feeling crappy in Disney is the worst, so I'm sorry you had to go through that, blah.

Also, you mentioning Roaring Forks made me really excited for staying at WL in September, AHHHH. I can't even wait.

I hope your migraine goes away and you don't have to deal with it again!

UGH...migraines should just be off-duty at Disney, I swear!!! Do you know what any of your triggers are, maybe you can figure out what's best to avoid so you don't have to keep suffering through Disney!

At least you were able to ride EE once in the dark though! Your meal from Captain Cook's looks really good!

I have migraines too and they are just horrid. Did you try 4 ibuprofen at once? The Dr's told me to do that and it helps A LOT, but some are so bad that now I have a "rescue" med to take. I've only used it once so far, but it worked fast. I also have another daily med to take that I haven't started yet. She told me it could make me drowsy (it can for some and others it doesn't bother at all) and I have been so busy that I can't be drowsy. I might try it Friday to test it out.

I have never been to AK at night yet either. It never is opne that late when we go, or we are thre at a time where it stays light longer, so it doesn't get dark. I want to see it someday too.

Yuck, migraines!!! :(

Ahhh EE looked awesome at night!!!! As did AK!!!!

That grilled cheese sounds delicious!!! I love grilled cheese, though! Haha

I’m sorry about your migraine still going strong:sad1:. That’s not fun to have in Disney.

That pool sounds fantastic! I’ve never stayed at AKL but after this report I would love to.

The Tree of Life looks so pretty!

That grilled cheese sounds yummy!

I don't get migraines (at least I don't think they are) but I do occasionally get headaches so bad that nothing I take can touch them, and usually at that point I just have to sleep it off. I have been lucky enough to never get one in Disney World, but I can just about imagine how awful it would be to miss out on fun stuff because my head is throbbing. :sad1: I always bring plenty of Excedrin with me, and at the first sign of a headache I take one and that usually helps.

AK looks gorgeous at night! At least you were able to experience that even though you didn't get to go on multiple EE rides. That's totally what I would have been doing too! I've never been to AK at night, but now after seeing your update and reading Dani's earlier this morning, I might have to work that in! I had given up on trying to squeeze in AK in the afternoon/evening with our schedule, but back to the drawing board, I guess. :goodvibes

AK at night is so cool. I definitely prefer it at night, both for the beauty and the lack of lines! I'm glad that you at least got in one ride on EE, despite your migraine. And we love that Grown-up Grilled Cheese at the Poly! Yum!

I meant to say this last time, but thank you for that warning!!! I only have to avoid all the pictures for nine more weeks!!!

Animal Kingdom at night must be the coolest thing ever! It looks so gorgeous and just seems like it has a whole different vibe to it! I'm getting a lot from these pictures apparently hahah.

You're welcome! I'm so glad you're going to finally see New Fantasyland! :cool1:

I know, it's so annoying. And that's not the only problem I had this trip! My stupid tooth that I had root canaled like, 2 years ago, was hurting me SO bad, I was living on Advil, and my stomach was a wreck the last night we were there! Ugh! I guess that just means that my Fall trip will be the best trip ever! :cool1:

It IS! If it's open late while you are there, you have to go, I put it off for so long, and now, I'm going to make it a point to go at night on every trip if it's open! :cool1:

I love seeing your pictures of AK at night! I get to revive my AK nights all over again. :goodvibes So so so pretty! We too were pretty intrigued by all those birds in the trees. Who knew there were so many!

Really hope your migraine went away the next day.

I loved AK at night, I just wish I got to appreciate it without the stupid migraine! The birds in the trees were so strange! I can't wait to show Brandon AK at night!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear what you think about BLT, and see some pics of the room!

I know, Asia is SO beautiful at night, those lights!!! Yes, definitely try to do EE at night, it is so different and wonderful!

I will be doing my BLT update tomorrow night, stay tuned! :cool1:

I'm over here too! Enjoying reading along. I am so sorry you got another one of your migraines while at Disney. Hopefully you were able to get some sleep and it was gone in the morning!

Yay, glad you're here! Ugh, yep, another migraine! It never ends! :sad2:

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry that migraine was still bothering you. :(

Your grilled cheese (minus the tomato) at the Poly sounds like something I would REALLY like.

Thanks, yeah, it just did not let up!

AK is beautiful at night! It is not my favorite park, but I have to admit, I have a whole new appreciation for it after seeing it all lit up!

Me too, EE was so much fun at night!

It was really good, I will definitely be going back to the Poly for that someday!

HAHA I have to say, I think it's hilarious that you and I have such similar updates right now about AK at night! :rotfl: I am going to post another update tomorrow morning and we basically said the same thing about riding EE at night. Haha I know, I can't believe we pretty much posted the same update! Obviously we would have a fantastic time together at Disney, and we'd probably even be at the same resort! Someday! :thumbsup2

Thanks! You are SO lucky to have never had a migraine, they are the worst! Brandon doesn't get them, so he thinks I'm just having a bad headache, but it's so much more than that, it affects your entire body!

I LOVE Roaring Forks! It's probably my favorite quick service at a resort, it's just so fantastic, I LOVE having breakfast there especially! I LOVE the Wilderness Lodge SO much, I hope you guys love it! :goodvibes

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I know, I agree! I wish I knew what my triggers were...actually, heat is one of them, but I don't remember it being very hot that day! I think it's just being in a different climate all together that throws me off, because it's weird that I always get one the first few days that I'm in Disney! I used to think it was going on a plane, but I think it's just the change from cold to warm or something. I don't know, I should really go to a dr!

I loved EE in the dark, even though I didn't feel great, it was so much fun! I really liked Captain Cook's, but I felt bad that Diane really didn't like it, since it was my idea!

Ugh, I'm sorry you get them too! :goodvibes I've never tried 4 ibuprofen at once, I would think that's not safe? See, I want to ask a dr. about getting a prescription, but I don't want something I have to take every day, I just want a rescue one like you mentioned! I don't need something that will make me drowsy, i have enough trouble making it through the day as it is! :rotfl: That's why I never bother telling doctors about my migraines, but I have to get a physical in a few months, so maybe I'll mention it then!

I was surprised it was open so late when we were there, since it seems like the other parks closed so early, but I'm glad I finally got to see it in the dark! It was so much fun!

Yuck, migraines!!! :(

Ahhh EE looked awesome at night!!!! As did AK!!!!

That grilled cheese sounds delicious!!! I love grilled cheese, though! Haha

Yep, I feel the same way!

AK was so much fun at night! :cool1:

I love grilled cheese too, that's why I had to try it, it was yummy! :thumbsup2

I’m sorry about your migraine still going strong:sad1:. That’s not fun to have in Disney.

That pool sounds fantastic! I’ve never stayed at AKL but after this report I would love to.

The Tree of Life looks so pretty!

That grilled cheese sounds yummy!

Thank you! No, it's awful to feel sick in Disney!

It was amazing! I loved AKL, I knew I'd like it, but I really, really loved it SO much, I want to stay there with my DH next time! :thumbsup2

I loved seeing AK all lit up, so pretty!

It was really good!

I don't get migraines (at least I don't think they are) but I do occasionally get headaches so bad that nothing I take can touch them, and usually at that point I just have to sleep it off. I had given up on trying to squeeze in AK in the afternoon/evening with our schedule, but back to the drawing board, I guess. :goodvibes

Sometimes Excedrin works for me, other times it doesn't! I think I have to take it the second I start feeling pain...or I have to take it and lay down for a while, and when you're running around Disney, you can't do that all the time! :rotfl2: You're lucky you have never had one of those headaches in Disney, they are awful, I hope you never have to deal with it!

It really is beautiful at night! I love riding EE over and over, I should have just done it, even with my stupid head pounding like it was! Not like it would have made it any worse! :confused3 You should try to get to AK at night, it's so worth it, it's like a totally different park! :thumbsup2

AK at night is so cool. I definitely prefer it at night, both for the beauty and the lack of lines! I'm glad that you at least got in one ride on EE, despite your migraine. And we love that Grown-up Grilled Cheese at the Poly! Yum!

I prefer it at night too, in fact, I could probably skip it in the day all together now, unless Brandon insists on seeing the safari or something! Or maybe we could go at like 4 and stay until dark, and not go during the day!

I'm glad I went on EE I would have been so mad at myself if I skipped it! It was so much fun! I loved that Grilled Cheese at the Poly, I'll definitely get it again! :cool1:

4 Ibuprofins equal 800mg, which is the prescription strength. I few years ago, I was having really bad ones and only taking 2 pills. Thats when a Dr. told me to take 4 because it would equal the same as they would prescribe. I tell you, it really works. And then alternate them with tylenol when they are really bad helps too. I haven't tried my daily one yet. I am too nervous about the drowsy thing. Plus I have been on antibiotics for 2 week,s so I want to kick that sinus infection first, then give it a try.

Oh man, sorry to hear your migraine held on so long. But I am glad to hear you were well enough to make it to AK! I've never been in AK at night, how absolutely gorgeous it looks. And EE at night too! How awesome!

Oh, that makes sense! I never bother with Tylenol, it does nothing for me, even for a normal headache, I usually like Excedrin because it's half Tylenol, half aspirin and that combo seems to work, and if not, Advil does the trick! But sometimes, nothing helps, which is why I wish I had a rescue med!

I'm on antibiotics for the 2nd time in a month, the first time I had an awful sinus infection, and I don't think I ever got completely better because all last week, my throat was killing me. So I finally went back to the dr and he said my tonsils were huge, so he gave me another antibiotic! The good news is, it's only been 2 days and my throat is 100% better! :thumbsup2 Feel better soon!

Thanks! AK is really beautiful at night, I loved it! EE was so much fun, I can't wait to ride it in the dark again! :upsidedow
