Which way would you do it?

I keep second guessing myself. We are staying in DLH 4/29-5/2 (arriving from Escondido, departing to LA). We have 3 day hoppers. Please let me know which option you would do:

#1 Head straight to parks Monday (missing the morning hour but still have 8-10 hrs in parks). Tues/Wed full days in parks. Thurs, leisurely breakfast at Goofy's and DTD shopping. Leaving around lunch to avoid LA traffic.

#2 Spend Monday in DTD/DLH pool and do dinner at Goofy's. Then have the early morning on Tues/Wed/Thurs and still probably leaving after lunch. (But then only have 4 hrs or so in park Thursday.)

I guess my question really comes down to how important those EMHs are, especially on week days in the off-season.

Thanks in advance!

I'd go with option #1. It always takes me forever to pack up at the end of a trip, and if you don't go to the park on your last day, you won't feel so rushed when you're packing up and checking out.

I wouldn't consider the end of April/early May "off season." Probably not as crowded as June-August, but it will be busy.

How old are your kids? The rides in Fantasyland are open during EMH, but we were disappointed that the "grown up" rides weren't available. We'd rather sleep in, but if you snooze you lose.

I'd have gotten a 4-day hopper :rotfl:

But since you have 3-day hoppers, I'd pick option 1. It's very hard not to go to the park the day you get there and when you go on your last day, it feels like you're rushed. You also have to check out of the hotel.

Thanks all. You pretty much said what I already thought. Nice to have a little confirmation.

My girls are 6 & 8 (and are both over 48in). They love the big rides and are fearless (we live by a Great America and they go on all the coasters they can). But they are still young at heart and will love the FL rides also. I figured we could use our EMH on Tuesday to knock out as many of those as we can. :)

I seriously thought about it but the budget had to have a cut-off somewhere! ;)
