Looking for recommendations on spa treatments. What is a must do on the fantasy? Who has done any of the facials?
I appreciate all input. Usually I don t splurge on the spa but am considering it.are there reviews of treatments anywhere?thanks for your help

I had a pedicure on the fantasy recently. While it was nothing out of the ordinary, it was very relaxing and she did a good job. It was soooooo nice watching us leave castaway cay out the windows while I had it - so while it was twice the price of a normal pedi, you pay for the view/environment. :).

One more thing - I've seen bad reviews of their pedi's lasting - but after two weeks, mine is still going strong.

My favorite was the Frangipani scalp treatment, which was $26. The Disney description is:

..A balanced formula created with botanical extracts—including those from the Tahitian frangipani flower—is gently massaged into your scalp, leaving it soothed and conditioned

I just loved being in the salon and totally relaxed. My hair in humity is wild!

I had the bamboo massage. I get fairly regular massages, and this was one of the best I have had. I really mentally struggled with paying such an exorbitant markup for a massage - but looking out the windows at the ocean while having a massage is a super treat!

I had the fire and ice pedi on Wonder earlier this month, $70 plus tip, it was OK, I have chips on both big toes now 2 weeks later. My appointment happened to be the exact time we were departing Key West and I watched out the window. In hindsight though, what I think I would do is get the Rainforest day pass online before my next cruise. If I remember right they were available for $15 or so, but on board during the cruise I think they were not available singly, only 4 days for $150 or so which I didn't think I would use enough to justify that $. For me a service is nice, who wouldn't love a cabana massage at Castaway Cay, but quiet time with no kiddos is also a big benefit and a Rainforest Pass would certainly accomplish that, with the added benefit of being able to go any time that day so you have more flexibilty to deal with unexpected changes in what you want to do for the day. Just my opinion.

I did the Fire and Ice pedi also, it was not worth it to me. I've loved the massages and rainforest room and other things we've done in the spa, but this particular treatment I won't do again.

I had the stone massage and will not be doing it again. I get regular therapeutic massages and the mark-up on this one was not worth it to me. The massage therapist was only so-so and did not spend time working on any problem areas, in fact, he went right over a trigger point area three times without stopping to work it out. Then I had an allergic reaction to the massage oil (though this is not his fault per se - as I am sensitive to so many things). Even if I had not had a reaction to the oil, I would not pay the price for the massage again.

On my first Disney 7 night cruise I saved a long time and I totally splurged. I had a chocolate wrap with half body and scalp massage. It was AMAZING!!! It was 188 plus 20% tip but was worth it. I was put in so many different chocolate oils and scrubs and wrapped in this amazing wrap a few different times and the massage was with chocolate oils. I smelled like chocolate the whole day. It was so relaxing so if your looking for a one time splurge I highly recommend it!

We just do the weeklong couples pass for the Rainforest! So relaxing!

Did you book the week long pass online prior to your cruise, or once onboard? Apparently the price is cheaper if you book online prior to your cruise? I have heard you can only book a day pass online, and the weekly pass is only available once onboard. Confused. Any info. you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to buy a 3-4 day Rainforest pass for an upcoming cruise. What is my best course of action for maybe 3 days in the Rainforest Room?

From what I gather from the cruise boards and cruises Ive been on is that you can buy day passes online for 16.00. Once on the ship they offer the weekly pass but it ends up being way more then 16.00 a day. On the Wonder this past January I had bought passes online and my friend hadn't. One day they said she couldn't buy a one day pass only weekly, but later on in the cruise they let her. It was still only 16.00 but I have read that on the newer ships Dream/Fantasy is now 27.00 per day and their weekly passes include scrubs but you can still buy passes online for the 16.00. So I really suggest getting passes ahead of time!

We booked it when we arrived on board. You can't book beforehand.
We went up there around 1230ish. They gave us a tour of the facilities. We used it everyday sometimes twice.
Yes the price is now 27$ per day on board. It was 193$ for both of us including 2 jars of scrub that you can refill.
Not sure how much you save but we love the freedom to come & go as we please. If you were only going to use it 3 or 4 days probably better to prebook at 16 a day.

Was scheduled for hot stone massage but got really burned when I forgot to apply 2nd round of sunscreen in Cozumel. So, they changed my treatment to The Bliss package which was so amazing. Basically full body massage including scalp with milk wrap for sunburn. Only $135 for 75mins. Look for the specials of the day the night u get the navigator and book immediately for the next day to get great deals!
