May trip

For our Princess weekend we are thinking about adding a day to go to Sea World. I have not been to Sea World since the 1992 and I don't really remember much other than getting splashed by the big whale!

In May does it get really busy? We are thinking either on the 17th when we get down to Orlando or Sunday the 19th. Do you need a whole day for Sea World and do you need to be there for Rope Drop?

I just went this past saturday and I hadn't been since about 1992 either! Lol. First of all, I cant say much of it was familiar, so I think a LOT has changed in that time. We got there right at opening at 9 and stayed until about 5 or 6. We saw all shows but one and rode most everything. I would think mid may would be even lighter than what we had. Crowds weren't bad at all. We even paid for a tray of fish for the kids to feed to dolphins which was a great experience!! You can easily do it all in a day, especially with lower crowds. Another note is that I downloaded the sea world app for iPhone and it was great except that it wore my battery down quicker due to the gps tracker.

Do you think a 2 year old would enjoy it? When she was measured at her 2 year check up on Feb. 28 she was 33 1/4 inches. I think she will be to short for most of the rides so I am not sure if it will be worth it for her.

I'm not the one to ask as I never even bothered going to sea world, Disney, or anything with a two year ole as I never thought any of it was worth it at that age. Lol. However, if you have older children, then yes, I think there will be enough to make them happy and it is low key enough that you can pace things at their speed.

I was meaning enough for the two year old to be happy.

I would think so. There is happy harbor just for tots. Bring a change of clothes, as I think there is a splash area there, as well as kiddy rides. Seeing the animals and fish should be interesting. The shows are also great, even the pet one. Take it easy and let your little one go and leave with things that catch and then disinterest. We love the park.

Ok thank you for the help. She loves fish and we plan to go for our BIG family trip in 2014 but the friend that is driving down with me had wanted to go. I wanted to do some research about it before jumping in. I would prefer HS since it's got the Disney jr. but want to "go with the flow" (as much as I can) for once! LOL

SW shouldn't be bad in May. Kids of all ages love it. I took my DD right before her 2nd birthday and she loved it. Shamu harbor is great and parents can ride too so she will be able to go on the rides with you. The shows are fun. Yes take a swim suit for her. There is a fun splash area that is great for letting them run around and burn off energy but also nice for a break for you.
