4/8/13 - Wonder 5 night Western - who's in?

If your attitude about it is "fun", Gracie will likely feel the same way. We try to make the whole experience fun, even security - our kids love to take their shoes off even though they don't have to now. Our kids' favorite parts are "snack time" and movie time (we have come to  our IPad) on the airplane. Good luck.

Oh we are all way excited about the "plane ride to go see Mickey" but I can't help but have that nagging feeling in the back of my mind of Gracie freaking out, driving the rest of the plane nuts or getting sick.

Welcome John and Liz! I love your idea of the last minute Disney cruise! I've added y'all to the roll call, which I'll post next week.

We are parking at Premier Parking of Miami (which is different from Premier Parking Ventures). It is a gated garage that provides free shuttle transportation for up to four people per vehicle. You can either book online through a third party (Global Airport Parking - which accepts credit card) or call them directly to make a reservation and pay in cash upon arrival. They will send you an email with your confirmation, street address, and directions to the garage. We called and received our conf. email the next day. Based on reviews, this is one of the better off-site parking options. For the cruise, it will be $40 including taxes.

Phone - 800-435-3195

Looking forward to meeting you at one or both of our cruise meets!

We reserved with Premier, so thanks for the tip! Called DCL and apparently we have booked so late that they will not be mailing us luggage tags. The reservation agent said we had to lug our luggage on board ourselves! No curbside bag drop for us. That really surprises me. Not a big deal, I suppose, but it is so nice to drop all that stuff and stroll through customs with just a purse and bag of liquor! ;)

I forgot to mention that hubby is celebrating his birthday on April 8 too. Nice birthday present!

Wow - 3 people celebrating birthdays on April 8th in this fairly small group. That is a surprise - but a very nice one!

Glad I could help with the parking info. Weird about the luggage tags, though. I wonder what their cutoff date is for mailing the stuff out?

11 DAYS until we board the Mickey Boat! :cool1:

I hope to meet some of you on this cruise! We took a flight to Orlando to enjoy sea world for a day and drive to Miami. Hubby's birthday on april 8 & we are on late seating dinner. Did anyone book their excursion? It looks like we arrive Cayman at 8 am on Apr 10 instead of 730.

Since we've been to Grand Cayman before and experience Stingray City - we've decided to do just the regular Island tour which is about 2 hrs. This will then allow for more shopping time in Georgetown!

As for Cozumel, it's been a while since we were last there, so we booked the Jeep Exploration tour. Looking forward to seeing the island!:goodvibes

What's everyone else planning on doing?

Jeep tour sounds cool! We'll have to get your review. :thumbsup2

We were in Cozumel 2 yrs ago on the Magic and did a great tour of the Mayan Ruins and the Museum. This time we will forgo a formal excursion and just "Wonder" with other tourists. (I couldn't help myself!) Open to the beach, if anyone else is trekking that way.

In Cayman, we signed up for a snorkel/pirate ship tour. Anyone sign up for that one?

This next week and a half is going to be tough to stay focused...

I'm pretty sure that my other last minute cruise, they allowed me to fill out tags at the curbside - but that was as PC, the rules may be different in MIA.

DH's birthday is today, and my twins' birthday is 4/7. So, we'll be celebrating a few birthdays, too.

I'm totally in the Little Engine That Could mode. I have so much to do this week - some cruise related, some not, but all must be done by Friday night, regardless. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!!!!

My oldest is petitioning us to be allowed to try Edge - he's really really over the club/lab. Anyone else with a sporty 10/11 yo boy planning on doing the Edge?

My daughter and her friend are planning on just roaming. They're both within 4-6 weeks of turning 11. But sorry, not boys lol!

We are traveling with friends and they have a sporty 10 year-old boy. I'm pretty sure he's not going to be in Edge. It's our first time, so it will all be new for the kids. Our DD turns 11 in May and I've been on the fence about where she'll be, but I think we're not going to let her be in Edge since her older brother (13) will be in there and she's not great about respecting his personal space. :)

Hi, everyone,

While perusing various sites/boards about FEs, I've run across multiple people talking about doing a "cabin gift" as part of the FEE. Since this is our first time, I want to clarify if we're doing individual gifts AND cabin gifts, or just individual.

We'll be at the first meet-up on Monday -- may not make it to the second but we'll definitely be on board early.

We're driving down from Atlanta Friday (spending the night in LBV) and spending the weekend with my husband's family in Miami.

In Grand Cayman, we're doing the dolphin encounter and in Cozumel we're doing the Mayan ruins/beach.

We're so excited! So much to do before Friday, though. My kids were excited to get $25 Disney gift cards to use, and they have some from birthdays, etc.

One final question this Easter morning .... do we have names for IrenicMom's kids? Or for Dhingraclan's parents? Can you tell I'm finally ready to start packaging up our FEs? :)

:cool1:

Hello everyone,
Hope everyone is having a happy Easter... Can't wait until the cruise.
Our family is
Ajeet DH and Shruti
Neil, Shaan, Sarina
Thanks...looking forward to meeting everyone...
