Jack, let's ride IASW in May.
The dude clearly has a smooth attorney, who knows that the ADA is flawed and unfair.
He has a history of doing this.
People like this give disabled people a bad reputation.
Maybe he will be a Segway with his $8000
Sorry, I don't buy it. No judge has to award anyone or their swanky lawyer anything.
The boat was not sinking.
The building was not on fire.
I am personally disgusted by this whole thing.
may be they should of gave him a free duffy bear to make up for it instead of 8,000.
Skip, come down in April and I'll ride with you.
Kim

s. Martinez has filed and settled over 30 civil suits alleging ADA violations and including claims for emotional distress. In no one of these suits did Martinez recover any monies for emotional distress, although he recovered statutory damages and obtained injunctive relief in most of these suits.
Whatever you feel about the case, Skip, I heartily object to the idea that one person's claim makes an entire class of people look bad. I don't assume that every disabled person files lawsuits whenever they feel like it, and assuming that people feel that way is going overboard.
This is the real issue. Like Jack said, if he was truly suffering an attack he had his meds available but CHOSE not to use them. There isn't much more disgusting than a professional claimant (or in this case, professional plaintiff).
