I was thinking about it just for fun. Our girls know about the cruise so no surprise.

That's how I surprised my son. I called myself the first time and saved the number in my caller I'd. This way I could hear what it said and how long to answer, etc. The day it called him his eyes were huge to hear Mickey. Melted my heart cause he is 9 and was super excited even though he is scared to go on the boat!

Do we buy for a certain person and/or family kind of like 'Secret Santa'? I'm up late working on our Fish Extender, since it's a surprise and I have to wait for kids to go to bed and was wondering about gifts...

Got our magnet for our door in as well! Woo-hoo!

I am wondering how full this cruise will be? It is after most states spring breaks and not close to the end of school for any. Most of us on this forum seem to be from Texas or surrounding states. No matter our numbers this is going to be so much fun. Can't wait to see everything through the eyes of my grandsons. Sherry

This is actually my first FE (and my first Disney cruise). I think for a LOT of us that are participating, it is their first time so I can only describe what I've read. Maybe one of the other ladies that has done an FE before can chime in.

So, my understanding is that it is at your discretion to do individual gifts for everyone in the cabin or a group gift. I think giving individual gifts are more popular -- especially when for the kids -- but I've read about folks doing like one big thing for the cabin, or making like a basket of sorts for the cabin.

I really think the cruise is pretty full. The last time I went to look for a cabin there were not a lot of choices left for a party of four and only a few more for a party of 2 or 3.

With the fish extender you make/purchase one item for each cabin or one item for each person. Each person is at there own discretion for how much they spend. No one is expected to break the bank for this. It is meant to be fun and should never be stressful. There is a facebook fish extender idea group at:

Oh I am so glad I am not the only one wanted to pack already. I will start a box tomorrow and an official packing checklist so I don't forget anything.

I started packing about two weeks ago. I have had my checklist for about a month. Even got new luggage . I'm so ready to get it all together.

I have already packed one suitcase with Fe gifts and pirate stuff. I may unpack it and rearrange but I am pretty happy with it now.
We are actually closing on a new house this Friday so the house is upside down. We aren't moving in until after the cruise but I want to get this house on the market so the suitcases need to be packed and tucked neatly in a closet. I usually have all our stuff laid out on a bed for weeks. Just a little hectic here at our house. Sherry

It's funny how they come around. It's been almost 10 years since Dave and I got married at WDW. He had no idea why I wanted to get married their but went along with it because it would be a great vacation for our kids to really get to spend some time together. And here we are 10 years later, we've owned DVC for almost 8 years, been to all the properties except Hawaii, done DCL, I think he's hooked. And I love it because he doesn't try to get involved in the planning so I pretty much get to pick where we go and what we do.

I am just so jealous that you have everything done already and are packing things. I better get on the move.

Hi Ponderosa, welcome to the thread!! I'm sorry to say, the FE has already been closed. I do believe that there is a meet-n-greet scheduled however for the first sail date... not sure when though, so hopefully someone else will chime in with the info.
