Thank you, it was Main building RPC, I have some shots of them working on it, I'm still downloading those. I can't believe we took over 1000 photos (I even took over 700 with my I phone)

I especially liked the shot from the monorail walkway toward the Convention Center, we don't see many of those, and I'm sure many posters will enjoy seeing the CL amenities.

Aww, thanks. I've been busy, but along with it I had a hard time logging on due to no visits scheduled for this year. Worried I'd get the urge and book something, no matter if we couldn't go.

Which leads to my news - booked a trip for next month! So, I'm right there with everyone else, crossing my fingers the pool is open soon.

I assume I'm late to the party on the news of the beach pool refurb scheduled for the end of May? Hoping we hit the sweet spot between the two!

It sounds like there has been a lot of work completed since my stay

The Courtyard pool is opening on Saturday, March 30th. It is a certain date.

Yesterday I phoned to the Grand Floridian to ask when the courtyard pool will open. The woman of the Grand Floridian told me that it would be the 13th April. I also send an e-mail to the concierge level of the GF and they said that the pool will open 1th April. On the internet I found to different dates (30 March and 11 April). What is now correct? Could someone post a photo of the courtyard pooltaken this week ?

I really would like to know the exact opening date of the pool because I have booked a room for the 4th April and I decided not to go if the courtyard pool is closed, because we are not going to the parks and wanted to spend all day in the pools.

I really hope that you can help me.

Just got off the phone with concierge at Grand Floridian and she said same as above poster it is set to OPEN March 30th! She said right now it is filled and they are working in landscaping it right now....keeping fingers crossed that PP and concierge are right

I just called again to see if I got the same info as yesterday. And YES I did. She said she saw the pool today and it is filled

I also asked her about the Beach Walls and she did say they would be up longer

So I believe this girl is switching to GF!!!

Hi Everyone! I am getting so anxious to spend Christmas at GF, but it's soooo far away . . .

So I just have a quick question as I plan and plan what we are going to do . . . If we wanted to do an afternoon tea is that something we need to get an ADR for or is it just first come first serve? Also, has anyone done this before and did you like it? Do you think 10 year old girls would enjoy it too? I thought about the Perfectly Princess Tea, but I don't think my daughter will be into it that much . . .

After many GF stays with a Theme Park View, we are looking for something new. I know the Theme Park View for RPC is over Gasparilla's.

I have looked for pictures of a Deluxe Room RPC. What is the view and what floor would they be located?

This must be new, we book at least once each trip and have never encountered this before.

The GF rooms were last renovated in 2007. The DVC construction is still in progress, but it seems the courtyard pool is almost ready to open - March 31, if they stay on schedule.

The Gasparilla, Sandy Cove and Beach Pool Bar renovations have been completed, and the spa is re-opened as of January.

Deluxe rooms (2 queens) are either over the courtyard or beach pool. Deluxe king rooms are either in the same area as the theme park view rooms (over Gasparilla's, second floor, rectangular with jacuzzi and balcony) or overlooking the beach pool (octagonal, garden tub, no balcony, walk in closet). Three of the octagonal rooms have a view of the castle out one side of the wrap around windows.

Rumors have it that the GF rooms are going to get a refurb after the Poly rooms are complete and they are in the middle of construction over there now.

I would call again. We booked an ADR for the tea room at 180 days out....I would hate to see someone miss out if a phone CM misinformed them! I have only seen the 30-60 days for the Dessert Party during wishes....
