We will be returning to US next month, and I'm about to book with APH rate at PBH. We tried it last year and loved it, though Hard Rock is our fave - but my niece, who is in the military and never been to Orlando, thought PBH looked beautiful so the newbie gets to choose.

I recently achieved Gold status and read on the benefits page we get an automatic upgrade to a premium room at booking. My question is - do I call the regular Loews booking number or is there another number I should call?

I'm currently Loews Gold and they upgraded me to a water view at the Royal Pacific at no charge for our May visit this year. The upgrade was confirmed at the time of booking. Also Gold get you free WiFi in your room.

I miss when I was Platinum, that got me a suite upgrade and a $100 stay credit at the PBH.

From the Loews site:

All upgrades are applicable to certain room and suite types only and subject to availability. Blue members receive a room upgrade, if available, upon arrival. Gold members receive an upgrade to a premium room, if available, guaranteed at time of reservation. Gold members can also enjoy a suite upgrade for only $50 per night, if available upon arrival. Platinum members receive a premium upgrade, if available, guaranteed at time of reservation. Platinum members receive a suite upgrade, if available at time of reservation, at no additional cost.

Loudbmw - thanks, good to know! It's not likely I'll get to keep Gold status for more than a year, I don't travel for work, but it's nice for this year anyway. I booked a special package at the new Loews Madison in DC last month that included immediate Gold status or I never would have made it at all.

Thanks! I had been watching the website, and there was availability at all resorts, all levels with the passholder rate. We are not going until late April, so I assume it is a slow period?

Booked a garden view queen room this morning, they upgraded us to a deluxe queen room at booking. I had a moment's quandary, as they did not have my Gold status on their screen, had to call YouFirst and get it fixed. All's well that ends well, Loews bends over backwards in CS.

If I have it right, I think the deluxe queen rooms at PBH have pool views? Either villa or main? We had a villa deluxe room last year, and though we loved the view and the room, it was a bit of a trek to the water taxi. If I request a main pool view, will that get us closer?

Deluxe rooms can have any view. I would request a west wing deluxe room.
