I looked for a thread but didn't see one. I'm toying with the idea of trying Jillian's 30 Day Shred starting this coming Monday to help me with the push I need to get below 200. Weight loss has kinda stalled for me the past few weeks and I'm hoping that spicing things up with Jillian may help the scale to start cooperating again.

Have you done the dvds before? How many days per week did you do it? What were your results?

I'm on day 4 of the 30 day shred. My plan is to finish the 30 day shred (doing it once a day for 30 days) and then complete Ripped in 30 (everyday for 30 days). I like the workout so far. I tried p90x before and made it 3 weeks - I was just not in good enough shape for it and was constantly sore/wore out. I like 30 day shred because I feel like it's a tamer than p90x, but I'm still getting a good workout.

I can't say much on results yet, but I feel like I'm getting a good workout. I'm sore, but not so sore I can't move, you know?

Maybe after these two dvd's I'm hoping to be in good enough shape for p90x again.

I have the 30 day shred but I've never done it as prescribed in the program (ie for thirty consecutive days). I use it mainly as "cross training" on my non running days a few times a week. I think they are really good workouts, especially for 20 min.

If you like them, try the shape magazine DVDs " transforming" and "redefining" are my favorites. They seem to be just a tiny bit easier on my joints but definitely just as intense.

It's a good program. Supplement with a good nutrition program like Weight Watchers online

I am a big Jillian Michaels fan and have used her 30 day shred workouts - mostly as cross training in working up to the Disney Marathon. I did notice toning in areas that I wasn't working out.

I have also bought her body revolution workouts and I like those better. The format is similar but the body revolution workouts are 30-35 minutes and I think the 30 day shred workouts are 25 minutes. If I have 25 minutes to work out than I usually have 35 and I feel like the extra 10 minutes will make a difference over time.

I need to get back on the Jillian Michaels bandwagon!
Mind if I join you, Desiree, starting tomorrow? Not sure if I'm going to do Ripped in 30, 30 Day Shred, or a combination.

Not at all! The more the merrier!!! :goodvibes

Yea, ok so Jillian Michaels is a vile, vile woman LOL! I posted a pic of myself post workout and geez.... It isn't pretty!

I will say, it is easier than the first time I tried it. Now I may be regretting those words tomorrow. I tried the dvd once before when I was probably about 25 pounds heavier. I felt much better about this one than that initial try 4 months ago!

Hi there! I just finished the 30 Day Shred on Saturday and thought it was great! I did post my results yesterday in the WISH away the pounds March challenge thread - you can find it here: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=47892514&postcount=442 Keep in mind that the start pictures are older than the start of the 30 Day Shred.

I started Ripped in 30 yesterday - got quite addicted to my daily dose of Jillian! :goodvibes

WHOA! You look PHENOMINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took before pics and my measurements this morning too. We shall see how it goes. I'm down 35 from my all time highest, but I really want to use these in addition to what I'm already doing (running, elliptical, weights, and walking)

Thanks! I am very pleased - even if I did not really lose a lot of weight. But I have gained so much strength, my posture has improved and I am in a much better shape!

I hope you enjoy it, is intense, but the good thing is that it is over quickly. And you will see improvements in strength after just a few days.

ETA: Congratulations on losing 35 pounds! That's a great acchievement!

I should definitely do some measurements and photos. My friend and I are taking to the streets in the early morning hours to get a 45-60 min. run done each morning, too. Here's hoping to ease some of my swimsuit anxiety!

I'll be getting Jillianed tonight after work.:banana:I'll let you know how it goes!

Oh. Em. Gee. I am so sore today! OWIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I was going to be fine yesterday but towards the afternoon the soreness started kicking in. I'll be doing the next day today after work but until then, Aleeve is my BFF!
