How is breakfast at The Wave?

One of favorites if not our top favorite breakfast.:thumbsup2

They have a regular breakfast menu and a delicious buffet. The buffet is a probably the best value in WDW and allows you to sample some of the options on the regular breakfast menu.

I am not a "grits" person but they are amazing there! They also have the best biscuits. (I'm getting hungry thinking about it LOL!)

Feel free to check out my breakfast review:

Surprisingly good. We ate there on a whim and loved it. I had a very good omelet. Their food is typical American cuisine but with a twist.

Oh I love it! I had in back in 2010. It was so good!! definitely go.

We will be at WDW next month and we were wondering about the Wave's breakfast buffet. Do you think it's necessary to make an ADR for breakfast or is it possible to just walk up?

NOTE: This is a new location for a breakfast buffet. The buffet has
significantly increased its variety, and now is very much worth the visit.
At just under $20 per adult, it is extremely reasonable for a WDW
buffet. For breakfast, it's probably the best-kept dining secret.
it has Mickey waffles and delicious sweet potato pancakes. They use
local fresh fruit and vegetables. For those with a smaller appetite, one
can do the usual ala carte breakfast menu.

Another Yes for the Wave breakfast! :cheer2:

I had the buffet on my last visit in October and loved it! The buffet was fresh, and had a large variety! Everything I had, from pastries to eggs, bacon, etc were wonderful!

A la carte menu and buffet available make it good choice for any appetite. We visit at the end of September/beg October and never waited any length of time to be seated before 9 AM or so. Buffet does have a great variety-go for the bacon cheese grits and bread pudding!

Breakfast at the Wave was very, very good. We will absolutely be making it back on our upcoming trip!

Really great. The Mickey waffles are whole grain and the sweet potato pancakes with a maple pecan syrup were delicious. I loved the key lime eggs benedict. They also had better whole grain cereals and lots of great oatmeal toppings. For a buffet, it's definitely healthier than the others!

Yeap RustyScupper, hoping the word doesn't get out too much LOL...;) We wouldn't want it to get "too" busy now, would we...;)

Just wondering if anyone knows what time is the latest I should be thinking about an ADR for breakfast buffet here.

We're staying at Poly, so the plan is to zip over for rope drop, do a few attractions and and grab a fastpass for something (depending on availability), head over to the Wave for breakfast and then come back to MK.

So, I'm trying to figure out the latest time we could plan to start at the Wave (to maximize that early morning MK time), but I don't want to go so late that items on the buffet are not fresh...or worse, missing.

I suppose the other response is... it's the end of September... there's no real need to be in MK before 10/11am.

2 cents?

Breakfast at The Wave :) on a scale of 1-10, it's an 11. The breakfast buffet there, to me, is nearly perfect with excellent variety, high quality, a healthy emphasis, immaculate conditions, and a price that is a fraction of the cost of the other breakfast buffets.

Since its still the best kept secret at Disney, you can definitely walk in without ADR at least on the early side (7:30-8:30). Can't say how the crowd level is a little later.

Staying at contemporary in April and am curious about this. TIA.

LOVE IT!!! We do The Wave for breakfast on the mornings we don't have anything planned. For our upcoming trip we will be eating breakfast there 4 times... LOL. You really get your money's worth. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you for posting this...I was bouncing between The Wave and Kona Cafe for breakfast and I think this has put me over the top for The Wave :)

It was the best breakfast we had on our last trip and that included Tusker, CP, CRT, etc. We really, really enjoyed it! It was quick and easy, too.

You won't be disappointed!! I crave breakfast from The Wave at home!!:lmao:

Your review was so helpful...and made me so hungry! My guy and I loved our meal at the Wave for dinner so I'm looking forward to bringing him there for breakfast!
