Glad you got your cabin assignments.

Yes it was a very nice birthday dinner . The cabins are all on Deck 8 which I hear is great, 2 are a little wayaway from the other 3 BUT it sure looks like we have 2 veranda rooms and I am surprised as Mary the TA said all inside ones !!!!

Thanks for the nice comments on my jammies , I love the Dis only place where anyone would share pix of their night attire and it not seem starnge !!:rotfl2:As for Tony, he is a twin of Marv !!! So I will be in for a rare trip if we do one together !!:rotfl2:
Yes I enjoyed my birthday dinner /breakfast!!!!:flower3:
So you're saying witty, charming AND good looking........... :thumbsup2

Mary told you they are all inside rooms because during high tide deck 8 is under water, so check before you open that verandah door because you might need to stay INSIDE!!! :rolleyes1

Now that would put a HUGE damper on enjoying coffee on the verandah......... :rotfl2:

I thought as the father of a member of the navy you ought to know that ships FLOAT on the water!!! What are you doing here - confusing innocent ladies??? :sad2:

Rosie - I think maybe your travel agent did book an inside category for all of your rooms but could not book with a specific room assignment in the first place because of late booking. What may have happened is that when they assigned rooms to your reservation, they did not have enough inside rooms left over and therefore gave you a free upgrade to a veranda room. So the travel agent might have been correct that you are booked into an inside room, just DCL decided to give you something better.

Anyway, sounds like you will have fantastic rooms!! :cool1:

Really Magdalene, YOU are going to be the one to spoil my fun........... :sad1:

As the father of a member of the Navy, the son of a Navy veteran who fought in the Pacific during WWII, AND an Engineer........yes, I'm quite aware the ship floats. :sad2:

Or at least we HOPE so..........

Sorry I am late, Rosie, it was another pretty stressful week at work.

You should be perfectly fine on deck 8, Rosie! We have not stayed on that deck yet, but it seems very popular (always a lot of FE participants :rotfl2:) You are high enough to be away from any theatres and kids decks and low enough to walk down to restaurants and things if the elevators are "a pain" again.
The mid ship elevator is mostly full and getting on can be a bit stressful (on any deck!!) but remember there is a forward and aft elevator as well. ;)

Wow, Marv Elous - we must be related with all the Navy history!! (My dad was WWII, Korea, and Vietnam ...seems like I am missing one. And he was an aeronautical engineer! Small world...:rolleyes1

Wow, you do have a lot of Navy connections! And I am glad that you omitted correcting me that there are some ship that do not float (or at least not on the surface). But I guess Disney did not build the Dream as a super-secret submarine vessel which will go under water for the first time for Rosie's cruise... :fish:

No I said a Marv Twin as in Cheeky Monkey!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I will take a veranda room , :goodvibeschecked pix of them and it will really be great for the meds as 4 can sit on the veranda 2 on the couch and 2 on the bed and I wont have to run all over Deck 8 High Tide or not :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I thinkl we are near the front of the ship so the elevator wouldn't be the main one:confused3:goodvibes

Sorry I have no naval connections, I do however have a belly button:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wait a minute you are turning my cruise into a super secret submarine experiment:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Rosie - You must be getting so super psyched for your cruise by now. I really can't wait to hear all about it. Take lots of pix for me! I have 7 months to go!

Oh Yes I am psyched !!! I have my new Cruise Bag and new clothes and jammies > I have to look for some decal of Disney I can magnetize for the doors so the guys can find us easily , a suggestion from another escort !!! I am used to the flight trips but I am actually glad there will be other groups so I can tag along with them from the airport to the ship!!!

t is official I have an Oceon View Family Stateroom with veranda on my cruise ,I received an email with the cabin number and MY name

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/s...uxe-family-oceanview-stateroom-with-verandah/

It connects to another which will be Carole's !! She is as excited about this as I am !!!She has the task of making magnets for our doors so the guys will be able to find us !!:yay::yay: This is gonna work out so great !! I believe the verandas can be opened up so it woill be 1 big one !! Inspite of Christin'e fear that they will fall overboard we can us it during med times and will make it so much easier !! Passing meds with 8 people in a small room is NOT easy :rotfl2:so this way Carole can filter them thru to me and it will be sooo much easier !!

On other news Judy booked the parking for our Universal trip, we are going with Budget as they provide valet parking and that is so much easier !! So our April trip is shaping up well !! It is approaching so fast !!!

Rosie, these rooms are GREAT!!!!!!!! You are going to love them. :thumbsup2

Good to know that your April trip to the dark side is shaping up as well! Can't wait for another one of your trip reports. :goodvibes

Hey, Rosie, if the stateroom numbers are the ones you posted yours and Carol's cabin are aft and close to the aft elevators and stairs! 2 of the inside staterooms are farther down the hall, but on the same hall and deck so just point them in the direction of your staterooms! ;)

Yep, ask your stateroom host to open the veranda divider for you so it will be one long one....still narrow, but long. ::yes:: It will be great! My concern is that the veranda is not wide, but rather shallow. Hope none of them have a fear of heights! You'd never get me to stand out there with 7 people! :rotfl: Since you have connecting family staterooms you'll have much more space in the rooms! VERY exciting news!! You've fantastic staterooms and location!! You're going to love it...and be spoiled for any future cruises!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I think so !!! I was confused when I first checked the numbers as Mary TA had said inside, but I know she likes me so maybe I got the BEST rooms !!:cool1:
