We're checking in Tuesday and my wife and I sleep with flat pillows.
Are the pillows at the CSR fluffy pillows?
I have a hunch we're going to be bringing our pillows with us.
Thanks for any help.

Someone above posted the approximate time to get from CSR to MK was 10-12 minutes. Anyone comment on how long to get to AK, HS, and Epcot??

Try this. Not sure how accurate it is, but I am assuming it's generally accurate.

Really, transportation is what it is. It can be slow, hot, crowded. You can wait a long time, or no time. It can take a long time to get to the MK- it it can be a light traffic day and take less time.... it is what it is- the above link is only an estimate.

I understand that! Just trying to plan. We are going to DHS during SWW, unplanned! Just worried about how early we really needed to leave to Gertrude there for chance at JAT.
Thanks for that site!

Stayed march 17th-22nd. Umpteenth trip to disney. Have stayed @ all star, port Orleans (both sides), caribbean beach, pop century, beach club, wilderness lodge...... And as we were planning to spend some time in the parks, went for a moderate.

Having read the boards, thanks for all the information, decided on Coronado as everyone said it has a moderate plus feel and for its location as we like to go off property at times

Having said that, we got a great deal with room, 7 day park hopper tickets and quick service dining plan (first experience of that!), so didn't go off property much

Drove up from FLL on the turnpike and was @ Coronado @ 12.30ish. Was able to check in . We had a king bed and got a room in casitas 5. I had tried not to form an opinion on the areas, in case I did not get what I wanted.

Casitas suited us really well, we could park near, we could get to el centro easily.

Overall comments

- check in efficient, when I returned to request late checkout later in the week that was also done well (although my key card was not extended for the additional hour, so I could not get back into my room!)

- concierge were good, asked for help with no expiration on my passes, checking my DDP... And was all done quickly and professionally

- mouse keeping, did just what was needed. We had a towel animal in the window and large Mickey ears on the bed when we arrived. Plenty of toiletries and towels and coffee pods. Only 1 day the room was serviced after and it was competed whilst we were at lunch

- room was large, had everything you needed. We did not use the TV but everything see worked. Bed was huge and very comfortable. On our last day, overall bedding and pillows were changed. The duvet/comforter was lighter, maybe the spring/summer bedding?

- pepper market was great for DDP. Service seemed to differ quite a bit but all passable. It certainly works for DDP.

- DDP other places we ate. Boardwalk pizza and it was great value and yummy. Good fish and chips in Epcot in UK and a burger for old times sake @ cosmic rays. Wanted to look at the be our guest restaurant but q's were HUGE!

- Internet worked v well in room and around resort. Also now in park, which was different

Overall, usual disney service, lovely resort with some extras above a usual moderate. We will def go back

Thanks! We arrive 4/3 in new Business Class. Can't wait to go back to CSR! Previously I stayed in C3,C5, R7a, R7b . I forgot how much I liked C5! Thanks for making me remember. We had lakeside and was centered in between the Dig Site and Pepper Mkt.
Glad you had a great trip! :)

My husband is a flat pillow person too! We have stayed at all but 3 resorts and he now just brings his pillow from home. The pillows at disney are fluffy!

Looking to book a Jr Suite for October. I see they are scattered about the Casitas...one is in 9b which is the Business Class rooms - does anyone know if this Jr Sutie (or any suites) have Business Class access to the lounge?

If staying business class does anyone know if merchandise, you purchase in the parks and get shipped back to your resort, will get delivered to your room (like a Club level would) or would you still have to go to the gift shop to pick up your packages?

we booked the waterparks and more package...I sure hope I don't have to pay for 2 of our 4 member family! I hope I didn't read it wrong...:confused3

If you have the water parks and more you will not have to pay for extra Disney Quest tickets. They are part of that ticket. You can use the voucher tickets that come with your room package and save the "more" for another day like a water park or golfing.

Does anyone who's stayed business class know the answer to this? I tried calling and got two different answers.

Unfortunately, that transportation wizard is not very accurate. In fact, some of the times it gives makes no sense at all. But I do agree that transportation is what it is. A lot of how good it is depends on sheer luck.

Hello

Two questions looked at buzzs site and couldn't find the answers does Coranado have any resort specific merchandise? Also where the elevators located in the cabanas section?

Thanks

I don't know the answer but have you tried posting your question on Buzz's Coronado site? He seems to know just about everything about the resort and is really quick to respond. Good luck! I hope the answer is that they deliver to your room because I'm doing business class in May!

Hi,

First trip in July to WDW and staying at CSR. We are very excited for our trip :) We have 2 small kids DD 4 and DS 6. I looked at the map prior to making reservations and requested Cabanas 9B or 8A/8B. It's important for us to be close to the main pool and bus stop. After reading this thread I realized that 9B is a preferred site. Should I call back and cancel that request? Also, would earlier check-in help our luck in getting our request rooms? I must take that into consideration when booking flights. Thank you for your help.

I wouldn't bother calling to cancel that request. When you do online check-in you'll be given the chance to do two requests, you can pick Cabanas (but not the building number), and close to transportation or close to pool. Those requests seem more likely to get fulfilled then ones put on your reservation when you booked. Also it asks if you'd like a room ready when you arrive - giving the option for those arriving early to have a room, I assume - or if you would like to prioritize your requests.

You also have the chance to ask at check in if there are any rooms in your preferred location, if your requests weren't met.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. :)

That is correct! :)

However, I would call back and change the request. 9B is only for Business Class -- the requests should be listed in order of importance so I'd want "9B" off my list! ;) When you do online check-in, you are only allowed to choose 2 of the options. So if Cabanas 8A/8B was already listed as your request, then you could just add "near transportation" and "near pool" during online check-in. :thumbsup2 (anyway, that's what I would do! ;))
