Hello everyone! I'm new to the board! I'm also from New Jersey! Just booked our trip for November 26-Dec. 8! We always go the week after Thanksgiving, but with it being so late in the month this year, we figured we would take advantage and do it Disney style! Looking forward to planning and chatting with all if you over the next few months!! It will be a lot of fun!!

On my October 2011 trip, there was a DIS meet all planned and only my family and one other person showed up. So disappointing..... But I promise not to take up too much of your time or force you to hang out with me. lol I just want to be able to see you face-to-face and say "hi".

We are planning on flying. I am just waiting for JetBlue to post fares for November. It will be myself, DH, DS/DD3 (twins), and my Mom. Thinking about checking out Frontier airlines as well now that the fly out of Trenton area.

Hi! Checking in here again, also waiting on flights for Nov 16, but we will be staying at POR instead of AoA (I think!) so :

Nov 16 - 21 POR, then Nov 21 - 24 3 night Dream!!

That's great! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun! I don't fly, so we drive! It's fun as long as my DD doesn't start asking "are we there yet?!" Or say "I want to get out of the car!" When we just get into Washington!!!!!! LOL

Sounds great....I'd love to met and thank you face-to face for keeping this thread updated. We are flying. It is me, DW, DD9, DS7 and my parents. It's our 1st trip, so we are super excited.

Just switched our split stay first portion (11/29 - 12/1) from AoA to Residence Inn Sea World and added Dining with Shamu. I'm really looking forward to SW this trip!

We are actually taking the AutoTrain. So....only two hours of driving.

We're very excited and I think our five-year-old will just love it!! We normally fly (out of Philly), but flights alone would have costs us about $1300. Add to that $300 (approximately) for a rental car and that was waaay out of budget compared to the $1,050 I spent for the AutoTrain. Plus, I had a $200 credit with Amtrak because Kyle & I were stuck on a DC-bound train for 4.5 hours last June.

We love the AutoTrain!! That's the only way we want to go now. So much fun! We never said that about driving or flying.

Ok, so this may be off topic but how does auto train work? Do you purchase the bedroom? Is it really better than flying? I'm curious.

We did not purchase the bedroom. My hubby is six and a half feet tall and could not possibly fit comfortably. We decided coach seats would be perfectly fine. We do not go to the parks on our travel day anyway (always DTD and relax at the resort for our first day of vacation) and we can all sleep through everything. lol

As for is it better than flying? Hmmm...probably not so much as we are leaving a day before we normally would. It's just $1,000 less expensive than flying this trip and a new adventure!!!
