Two hours away!! Rolling down I95 towards POFQ and the kids still haven't figured it out yet (they think we're going to Grandmommy's house!)

What's the best way to request two connecting rooms, ground floor in buildings 2 or 5?

Should i limit my request and not specify a building?

We booked garden view.

Thanks your all your help! This thread is amazing!:flower3:

Joffrey's coffee is going to replace Nescafe in the parks and resorts in WDW, not sure of the dates though. I'm not familiar with the brand but it has to be an improvement over Nescafe.

By the way, DH and DGD and I are going to be visiting Gettysburg again the first week in April for a couple of days. Beautiful country around there! We're both Civil War nuts and it's our anniversary on the 4th of April, we've been married so long that bringing DGD with us will be fun.

Have fun in Gettysburg. We avoid it! (I do want to go over some time and try Cafe Saint-Amand, but definitely not during the tourist season and not on a weekend!)

You should be real close now! Have a great time! If you would, check out the in-room coffee for me and, if you are going to use it, could you take a picture of the coffee pod before you put it in the maker? Thanks!

I had read that the Melita coffee pods are compatible. They sell them in my local supermarket $5.59 for 16 pods.

Put your requests in order of preference if you have more than one.

I have a photo, but need to upload it somewhere to put in a post.

We did not get our request of building 5, but are on the top of 1 with a river view. It's beautiful & quiet. My parents like this better, so we'll happily hike to the pool!

Bet the view is nice, but wouldn't you be more comfortable in a room rather than on top of the building?

:lmao

Nov 2 thru the 10 for us...can't wait to go back home!

Does anyone know how long the construction will take??

I'd guess at 5-6 weeks or so, but until there's a confirmed start date that's a rather meaningless timescale I'm afraid. As soon as I'm able to quote the start date, I will.

I was just wondering if it will be done by the time we come down in October. I know thats a long time but construction up where I live seems to drag on forever....just checking...thank you! :)

Four weeks from now we'll be there. :cool1:

I have to ask -- How is the new coffee in the rooms? Does it taste like fresh-brewed or do we want to bring our own coffee and/or brewer?

Also, does the food court have half and half? I can't recall from previous trips. (Not milk, not creamer, but actual half and half is what dh likes. If they don't have it, I'll try to bring some with us since we are driving.)

Thanks!

We just returned after staying 3/6-12 and my husband said it was OK. It was the Cuisinart pods that would brew two cups at a time so it was brewed but I still used my Via. I'm kinda particular. I don't recall half and half in the food court but we brought "mini moos" from home which didn't require refrigeration and he liked those. In the food court at the time we were there it was still Nescafe. ICK!

Hope that helps.

Can someone explain to me why POFQ got rid of the half and half dispenser? :confused3 Our last trip to POFQ was in Aug 2011 and they were using those little creamers in a ice bowl. I was hoping that they would have changed back by now. We stayed at the WL last Aug, 2012 and they had the half and half dispensers, so much easier:thumbsup2
Does anyone know if the Riverside has the dispenser?
