**2013** What's on the Emerald Aisle???

Ok, spring breakers: what is on the EA? ;)

:Pinkbounc:bounce::Pinkbounc:bounce::Pinkbounc:bounce::Pinkbounc:bounce::Pinkbounc:bounce:

Was there Thurs. night about 11 ish. On the aisle: Impala, Malibu, Altima, one Chrysler convert one eclipse convert.
Exec. aisle: Caddy's, Impala, Charger, Challenger, Malibu.
We took a Caddy with permission from the mgr. on duty(it pays to have friends. :))
. 78 miles, 2013, very nice car.

So, is there a chance in h-ll that I will find a mini-van or SUV on the executive aisle this week? (mini-vans aren't even an option anymore this week on National's website)

If not, what is the "biggest" car I should choose?

I would not know how to answer that about the mini vans or SUVs. It totally depends on what they have available. If mini vans are booked solid, you probably will not see one. If SUVs are booked solid, same answer. The largest car with the largest trunk is the Ford Taurus, sometimes they show up on Exec. The next biggest car that will most probably be there is the Impala.
If you need something larger I would book it and forego the EA. If you need a mini van, book it through Alamo.
This is a very very busy time for rental cars and travel.

OOOOOOooh to score a convertible would be wonderful. :hyper:
Exciting, we are getting closer.

3/26 - 5:30

Camrys, impalas, altimas

There were no cars on the exec aisle and only about a dozen cars on the emerald aisle. I was shocked at how empty the lot was!!

People were not happy.

Which side were you on? I have lived through the "empty garage" times and they are not fun for anyone. What was on the exec. aisle, if anything. In this situation all you need to do is speak to the greeter and they will help you as best they can. They can move cars from A to B or B to A. You just have to ask. It is a VERY busy time there and they can only produce what they have.

We will be arriving late -- 11:30pm on a Wednesday night. Any one have experience with the selection at this hour?

It varies from day to day, hour to hour and season to season and what is available to put on the aisles. You will get at least a midsize car. If you need something larger than a midsize, I would suggest you book it and not bank on the EA having it. Most of the time they have midsize and some full size cars. During really heavy rental seasons, just about anything goes, but, you are coming during a relatively quiet time, so, midsize and probably full size.

Can anyone tell me what has been on the convertible aisle lately? I am coming in around 11 AM on a Tuesday (4/23) which I figure should be a slow time.

Plan on lots of Chrysler 200s. You MIGHT get lucky and get a Mustang (although I am not sure how lucky that is but..) But that's about it.

A quick report from last Tuesday (4/9) at around 9 PM

B side. Executive had Camry's, Malibus, Impalas one Dodge Charger, one small SUV and one giant SUV. Aisle has one mini van and bunches of Malibus..... few other basic boring cars LOL!

I actually went to A. Not much better no SUVs or minivans on either asile there. I dig grab a Hyundai Genesis which was a very nice car.

Thanks for the info, a 200 convertible would be OK as long as it has V6. If an eclispe or Mustang are there, would grab those instead.

The eclipse was discontinued in 2013. There might be a few there left over, but, I would not bank on it. I did see one on the EA on March 21. Rarely will you see a mustang. It is basically the 200. Not sure if it is a 4 or 6 cyl. The Touring is a 4 cyl. and the Limited is a 6 cyl. I know it only holds 4 people and has a relatively small trunk. Same with the Mustang or Eclipse (which is REALLY tiny).

Most of them are the 4 cyl. And "tiny trunk" is just a risk of any convertible. I drive one daily... tiny trunk, but it's so much fun I deal with it!

The difference with the Chrysler is that it becomes a full trunk when the top is up. The "shelf" for the top folds back up when not in use. I simply cannot remember which 200's they had there. I just know they all were pretty peppy when I drove them around the garage. I used to drive a Miata, talk about small trunks. :)

Thanks for the info. Just DW and I with only carry-on luggage this trip so a conv is perfect for us. We shouldn't need much trunk space.
