Hi! Welcome to my second trip report. For those of you who dont know me yet, my name is Ariana, Im 39 (for a few more months) and I live outside of Atlanta, GA.
This was my 10th time at WDW and my very first solo trip. Im married but DH is not a big fan of traveling so I usually go with friends or family to Disney. We dont have children in the traditional sense. Ours are furry and have four legs.
First is Sierra:
She is almost 3 years old and the love of my husbands life. Yep, her, not me! She is feisty, a bit of a brat and also the biggest love bug you will ever meet. She loves to pick on her older brothers and also act like a dog ten times her size. If I hold her when DH leaves the room, she starts screaming to follow after him.
Next is Alex:
Hes 6 years old and was the baby till Sierra came into the picture. He is the only one that has followed me home from the Animal Shelter where I volunteer. I think there would be a lot more but DH is allergic to cats and most dogs. We have the Schnauzers because they dont shed and they dont bother DHs allergies. Alexs mom was a schnauzer so he doesnt shed. Daddy was a big question mark. Alex is as sweet and loving as they come. Hes mostly my dog and is usually somewhere in the same room I am. He is a worry wart and gets very upset when he sees a suitcase come out of the closet. He is also obsessed with socks and steals them from us all the time.
Last but not least is Eddie:
Hes 11 ½ and has been my baby since we brought him home at 6 weeks. The picture is a little outdated, I have an awful time getting good pictures of him with his dark coloring. Youll notice in the picture that he only has one eye. He has had eye issues most of his life. Unfortunately since that was taken, he has lost the other one. He gets around ok for the most part but does spend a lot of time running into walls. Eddie is all about two things, eating and sleeping. He is so obsessed with food that we have to be on constant alert. In his lifetime he has eaten a 12 inch meatball sub, a box of Total cereal, a bag of Doritos and a bag of chocolate chip cookies. Those are just the ones I remember at the moment.
So, enough about my babies (I could probably go on for pages) and on with the Disney trip. Prior to this trip, I went to Disney with my Mom in November 2012 and Im still writing the TR for that one. The link is in my signature if you are interested. When I got home from that trip, I was sad that I wouldnt be going back until October 2013. When I got my bonus from work in December, I decided to use it for a quick solo trip. I wanted to do it halfway between the two other trips but circumstances at work and not wanting to go in the summer heat lead to a late February/ early March trip. So here are the details:
Dates: February 28th through March 5th, 2013
Resort: All Star Music
Dining Plan: Regular
A few facts about me, if youve read my other TR, you can probably skip over this:
1. Favorite Character: Pluto, Pluto and Pluto! I have loved Pluto since before I can actually remember. I have an entire room in my house dedicated to him. Dont believe me? Check out this link: Pluto Room.
2. Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom all the way. I could sit down on a park bench on Main Street and never move for the rest of my life. Well, I might have to go visit some rides and shows once in a while.
3. Favorite Ride: I am a ride lover at heart. Id rather be on a ride at Disney than any other place. Im not much into character greets or parades. Pirates of the Caribbean, Soarin, Expedition Everest, and Toy Story Mania are probably my favorite at each park. But it tends to change.
4. Favorite Restaurant: A tie between Coral Reef and Rose & Crown Pub
Ok, lets move on for now, Im sure youll learn a lot more about me as the TR progresses.
One last thing before I end the intro, I should probably explain the title. Being on a solo trip, I tended to listen a bit more to the conversations around me. Some things I heard made me laugh out loud, others were just horrifying. So I started writing them down. As I finish each day of the TR, I will list out the quotes from that day for your enjoyment.
