Hi all!

Me and my fiancé have just booked 17 nights at POR in September for our honeymoon!
Does anyone have any recommendations for anything special to do since its our honeymoon!?
We don't particularly have any budget to stick to, so anything you can think of let us know!

Thank you :)

That's so awesome! I'm getting married at Sea Breeze Point on Sept 30 :)

Anyway, POR is one of my favorite resorts! The boat ride to DTD is kind of romantic, and you can do a horse drawn carriage ride at POR. My fiancé and I did that last year. It was very pretty!

When in September will you be there????????

My fiancee and I will be honeymooning there 9/22-9/29, staying at WL.

Some of our plans include:

-dinner at Victoria&Alberts
-other nice dinners (too soon to book ADR's at this point)
-Carriage Ride
-SeaRaycer rental
-Wishes Fireworks Cruise, but only if we can find perhaps 2-3 other couples willing to split the cost
-And of course, MK, Epcot, and HS! (we have no interest in going to AK this trip)

Oh, and we'll be wearing the "Just Married" buttons AND the Bride and Groom ears the whole week! Rumor has it newlyweds can get a lot of perks and freebies if wearing the buttons and ears ;)

If we'll be there at the same time, perhaps we could link up at some point?

Paul

Paul Oh, I really want to do the wishes firework cruise, but were there 2nd-19th, so that's not good for you! Hope you can find others to do that with you!!! I've so far convinced my fiancé to wear the badges, but he's only starting to come round to the idea of the ears!! Haha.

Also any specific restaurants people can recommend to book early? We've never done a trip only us two, always with family, so we've never done the 'romantic' stuff!
Thanks!!!

We celebrated our “Disneymoon” in October 2011 and had a great time!

Here is a list of things we did (besides going to the parks and waterparks)-

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Carriage ride at POR
Dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table and Victoria & Albert’s
Wishes Dessert party @ MK

I’m not sure when in September you are going to be there, but the food and wine festival at Epcot usually begins the last weekend of September. If you’re there, make sure you check it out!

Make sure you get the bride and groom ears! Have a great trip!

I would also get the Celebration button and wear them. Also, make sure WL res. and when you make your dining res. have noted it is your honeymoon you never know if a little extra surprise "might" be in your room. Make sure to book V&A right on the 180 mark as a lot of locals go. Here is a link to my itinerary for our June honeymoon if you want to read to get any ideas.

Hi MrsT2013! Sounds like you have the start of a great plan!! 17 days!!!! Wow!!!! My fiancé and I will be Disneymooning in September 2013 as well!! A few of our ideas, Spa at Grand Floridian, Carriage Ride at PO, Segway Tour, Watercraft rental, Possibly parasailing and we're also interested in the fireworks cruise! disnmooner2013, I have read your plans and it sounds like we've got a lot of similar ideas!! We'll be making our reservations when our 180 day window opens. We can't wait!!

I will be disneymooning in May. We have booked Victoria & Alberts Chef's Table, dinners at V&A main dining room, Narcoosees, Yachtsman, Brown Derby, and Be Our Guest, breakfast in the castle, parasailing, personal watercraft tour, and waterskiing at Sammy Duvalls, Keys to the Kingdom tour, Seas Aqua tour, Dolphins in Depth tour, Cirque du Soliel La Nouba, Illuminations fireworks cruise, Wild Africa Trek and a couples massage. Hope that gives you some ideas and enjoy your planning!

if you have no budget, I would suggest renting the Grand 1 Yacht for dinner/butler service and Wishes. You could also skip dinner and just watch Wishes. pixiedust:

We love so many restaurants but Ohana is by far our favorite. It's one you will need to book at exactly 180 days or you won't be able to get in. We're going for our 1 yr anniversary this year and have planned for dinner at Cape May, Teppan Edo, Via Napoli, Ohana, Be Our Guest, Narcoosee's, le cellier and Yachtsman's. I've been trying to get in contact with private dining for our actual anniversary. Again if there is no budget, you could arrange private dinner for 2 with butler service at the resorts or a private dessert party in Epcot. Lurkyloo has a lot of podcasts and threads floating around on how to book these things. You could also try to get into the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party in the MK. They only open up reservations about 90 days ahead of time or so and only allow in so many people. We went after our wedding before we left for our honeymoon and really enjoyed the exclusive-ness and not having to fight the crowds to see the fireworks :goodvibes Happy Honeymooning!

Thanks for all the ideas!
We're waiting for our 180 day window to come round so we can start booking!

We did our honeymoon at WL too! They were fantastic. Artist's point was very romantic for dinner and we also had dinner at Yachtsman. They made a personalized menu congratulating us. It was really nice :) Congrats!!

Cinderella's Royal Table was great! They gave us a table right by the center window of the castle and had the table decorated. When they did the royal announcements we were given toasting glasses from them. We also bought the bride and groom ears and had buttons saying we were on our honeymoon. Got lots of nice little perks from those :) Recommend wishes dessert party too.

MrsT2013... I sent you a PM, we are on our honeymoon Sept. 7 - 15 at PoFQ and we would be interested in spliting the cost of a Wishes Cruise... if that interests you let me know.

Thanks,

Tamara

Yeah we are staying at the Yacht club which looks lovely! Booked all of our ADR's a couple of weeks ago. Got Be Our Guest for dinner twice and some other places we really wanted to go/try.

We got engaged on a walk at the beach at Polynesian after a meal at Ohanas so have booked that twice :)

I see your honeymoon is in September too! Anything special planned?

Any tips or suggestions from anyone?
