Holly I just started WW online (5 weeks ago,) and have 4 lbs to get back to the lowest number I hit in June 2011, my sleep is better again and my knees feel so much better. Can't wait to get back to my 50lb lost number and start losing new pounds.

Good for you PJ. I want to start up again, but I will wait until after the move. You are doing so great. Keep up the good work. OH and it's nice to see you over here. Welcome back!!!

Deb...

Get him OFF your insurance...

Nobody should be on your policy except you and John...

When I got into my accident... the first thing the lawyers (on both sides) did was to sue EVERYONE who had anything to do with the car... and if he's on your insurance... or if you own the car... you can be liable... please don't take a chance with this.

Not possible Shell. PA law says that everyone in the same house or at the same address has to be listed on each policyholder account. So he would still be on mine and I would be on his if he had his own insurance. And we would both be paying through the roof. It makes better sense to put everyone on one policy and only pay one bill. Both cars, however, were in his name not ours. We just transferred the four wheel vehicle from John's name to the kid's. Good thing.

I'm beginning to feel like the kid is going to change my plans about moving down to Florida. We'll still get there, but we may have to rethink everything since the kid doesn't seem to be responsible enough to handle life on his own, without John driving him to work everyday. He may have to get an apartment closer to work because he can't do the commute. That would put a big wrench in my plans. But it is beginning to feel that way.

Good Grief Charlie Brown.....James just left....$50 for plowing us out. We had snow overnight....about three inches. I checked all the weather reports and they said rain today so I thought it would then melt away the snow, especially since it was already plowed. Nope. James left and then it started snowing again. I hope there's not a lot of accumulation because I don't want to pay another $50.

In the meantime, the kid was supposed to stop and pick up cigarettes for John on his way home last night. Well that didn't happen since he got towed home because of his accident. Now the four wheel drive car is totalled and not going anywhere and we don't have a car that will make it up the driveway in the snow. So John cannot go out to buy his cigarettes unless he wants to walk up this mountain. Which is near impossible for him to do. He's sleeping today because he doesn't want to be awake and not able to smoke. He didn't plan on quitting cold turkey. He was going to see the doctor and get a script to help him wein off of the cigarettes. He thinks that's the best way for it to work for him....not cold turkey.

Now we're stuck in the house until the snow melts away. That could take a week. Thanks kid.

UGH. Room number six is taking a very long time. We worked from 9:30-4:30 today and only got a corner of my office done. There are so many drawers with so many things in them. After 15 cruises I have lots of pictures, navigators, menus, lanyards, etc. Then we did the top on my grandmother's secretary. I felt so close to my grandmother and my mother today....but mostly my grandmother. I saved all of her things that she used to keep on three shelves behind glass doors that lock with an old fashioned key. She has a perpetual calendar that's a wooden bambi that I loved while growing up. And I have her old wooden Greek saints. All that stuff is so special to me. I got teary today while we were packing it all in bubble wrap.

It is so nice to have keepsakes from the people we love. I have an old chest in my room which was my great grandmother's, which I store sweaters in. I've repainted it and have a big cushion on top of it now so that it's like a bench, but I always look at it and think about how she had it in her house.

OMG AGAIN!!!! The kid got into another accident tonight and totalled another car. Now he has nothing to drive. It's only been four days since his last accident. This time there was snow on the ground, but only an inch and he was in our four wheel drive vehicle. THANK all goodness that he didn't get hurt again, but come on!!!! Learn to drive fool!!!!!

Now he has to take vacation for a week because he has no car to drive to work. He has to wait until his check comes in from his pension loan so that he can buy another car. If he totals that one he's got no other resources.

He certainly is not allowed to drive our car. Not even to the corner and back. And now my insurance is going to go through the roof.

Oh no!!! Definitely don't let him drive your car at all. That is an awful piece of luck/circumstance :(

Things here are ok. I'm getting a little stir crazy since we've been confined to the house a lot. I'm still on a lifting restriction, but have started lifting the baby again, but nothing heavier. We had snow again last night. The accummulation wasn't awful, but then we had freezing rain for awhile and it's just GROSS out there now, with more slushy rain coming down. I am very ready for winter to be over.

I see the surgeon again tomorrow for my post operative appointment and am hoping to get an "all clear" though I'm not too optimistic because I'm still bleeding. *sigh* Then I have lunch plans with one of my college friends from Minnesota who recently made the move to NYC.

Thursday, the new carpet should be coming for the living room. Thank goodness! We've been living like we're in an episode of Hoarders for over a week now with all of the living room stuff piled into my dining room and entranceway.

Friday, Josh is taking off from work so that we can try to get the house back in order. I need to start getting ready for Easter and Olivia's birthday around here.

Crazy day today...

Woke up with the smell of something burning... mom left the soup on the stove... :worried:

It's coming to the point where she is starting to forget things, but she doesn't want to admit that it's happening.

I told her we need to make a few changes (get a hot shot to boil water for her like we had for my grandfather) and I imagine she'll have to stick to stuff she can heat up in the microwave for lunch.

She's ok when I'm around... but when I'm not... it's going to be something to think about.

This is something that my siblings don't understand or realize... sooooo... I i will deal with it on my own as usual...

I know so well Michelle. My mom had the beginning stages of dementia.....she told me she lost a mortgage payment check once. I asked her if it was time that we do the bills together. She told me not yet, she will let me know when it's time. Meanwhile she was three months behind on her payments when she died and the house had to be sold at auction.

I know the QM is not there yet, but she will be. Will she let you help her or is she a control freak like my mother was?

Sounds like a really busy week Ginamarie. I hope your post op appointment goes well. I hope the bleeding stops soon.

Have fun at lunch with your college friend. It sounds great.

YAY!!! For the new carpet coming in two days. I'm glad Josh will be there with you to get things settled again. Remember, don't you lift anything.

Easter comes early this year and if you have Olivia's birthday too.....you are going to be one busy lady. Try to take it a little easy on yourself and rest a bit. You need to heal properly.

She was just very down about it. I think she hates the idea that it's beginning to happen.

Hi all,

Most of you already know about the :cat: emergency surgery happening tomorrow. MY bit of stressful news - after 5 years of tests coming back clean, I am again with abnormal cells in my cervix. I've been dealing w/ pre-cancerous cells since 1991, with 4 proceedures and the 5 year break. I go in for additional testing and a possible biopsy on the 29th.

Michelle - sorry about your mom :grouphug:

Deb - don't know what to say about the kid. :confused3

GM - don't overdue things!!

 to all.

OH Monica.....I'm so saddened for you. Looks like you and Freckles need some pixie dust and lots of love sent your way. I'm so happy that you go for regular check ups and they found it fast. You can get rid of it and be healthy again. It's just a horrible procedure to go through. You and Freckles can recouperate together. BIG BIG HUGS sweetie. I'll be thinking of you and praying for good results.

Hi Shannon. It's great to see you over here. We missed you!

I'm glad you found the voting thread and thanks for your input.

I would love to kick the kid in the butt, but he's 41 years old. I can't quite do that.

Hope to see you over here more often.

Monica- big hugs to you! Glad it was caught fast. Hope your cat's surgery goes well in the morning
