Oh the places We Go, The People We see

Poor flamingo. I am sure he did not know what had hit him. It was seriously funny though.

I was lucky enough to see wild Flamingos in Dubai. They migrate there during the winter months from Iran.

Corinna

They will probably start running if they ever see Abby arrive again.

Are you going to write up about Dubai at all? I would love to read about it and see pictures.

Funny stories and great pictures! I'd be much more comfortable around flamingos than birds.

Aunt Bop Bop! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Great story- I really can't blame Abby, tho- if a bird bigger than me kept gettin my grille, I might have to give a shove back too! :rotfl::rotfl:

Loving the pictures of the gardens.

Abby sounds and looks like a hoot.

I might be able to have the birds land on me but I am not sure, I would have to try REAL hard not to freak out. :lmao:

LOL. They have bigger beaks though!

Abby isn't going to take any crap from any darn bird. :thumbsup2

Thanks. It wasn't bad, but it was weird ...if that makes sense. I didn't mind them landing, but if some random bird outdoors did land on me, I would totally freak. ;)

AWe! Aunt Bop Bop! My "kid name" is Kicken. That's what I have been called by the kids I babysat when I was younger and my best friend's daughter called me that, so I'm "Aunt Kicken" to her, now! :) I love how kids name us…

Thats funny too.
Paige's dad has 5 brothers and sisters all of them named with a J. Paige couldn't say J for some reason, so here are the names she called them
JP = BP
Julie = Ulie
Jenny = Ninny or Yinnie
Janelle = Mel and she still calls her Aunt Mel to this day and Paige is almost 21. All the other nieces and nephews after have called her that too.
Jill= Lill

WE always laughed at that fact she was born into a family with lots of J's (of course my name is a J as well and so is her dad) and she couldn't even say the darn letter.

Skip also has 5 brothers and sisters and all are D names (His real name is Dean) but almost all of them go by some unrelated nickname. Only his sister goes by her name and his one brother goes by his name more often than not but some of them you almost NEVER hear the real names used only by their mom.
The nephew is named Dan but his Mom is DeeDee and for several years Claire called him DeeDee and his Mom was DeeDee's Mom. LOL
When I was pregnant, I told Skip I refused to name her a D name. Thanks goodness he agreed to the name Claire for a girl ...mostly because he was convinced I was gonna have a boy. :rotfl2: We never had decided on a boys name before we found out she was a girl.

I will do. I have made a start on typing up day 1, but have not downloaded any photos yet. Since November I have worked on a trip report to the point that I have not even had time to pick up a book. I enjoy doing the trip reports, but the last one has kind of become all consuming. So I am taking this nice and slow. I have until May 15th to finish this ;)

I know that feeling. Working on 2 at one time was just so hard. One is hard enough. I debate doing one for my next trip, but then again, I like having it to remember the trip by, so I'll have to think about it more.

I kind of got a little burned out after my October 2011 trip report and had every intention not to do one for our Hawaii cruise last year. When it came to hit, I could not go through with not doing a trip report. I do enjoy doing them and love reading through old ones every now and again, but they take up a huge amount of time.

I think that is how I will end up being. I love to talk and remember the trips. It is time consuming too. And I will edit the pictures anyways, so I might as well write about them. LOL.

I will have to see how long this one takes to finish because I do have a non Disney trip coming up in about a month. Skip is having another surgery tomorrow and today is pretty much gone ( I've been busy all day too), so there goes two days of writing. I was kind of on a roll for a bit, but I see all my time fading away again.

I hope that all goes well with Skip's surgery.

Corinna

Thanks. Well.....twist of events. He got there and the Dr said he is healing pretty good and with some back and forth talking, He said it was up to Skip if he wanted the surgery and Skip said no, so we went out for breakfast and then home. He's pretty happy. I am glad not to have spent the day at the hospital, but still didn't get anything really done here at home either. :rotfl:

Jen, glad to hear that the surgery could be avoided. :thumbsup2 :wave2:

I am glad that he is healing well and did not need surgery after all. That is great news.

By the way, I have started my Dubai mini trip report. You can find this here:
