Congratulations to you and your family. :thumbsup2

Gotta admit though, I had to re-read a few times to make sure I read the "four" part right. :rotfl2: I guess if you've dealt with twin newborns, you can handle multiples that are maybe a little older... how old are they?

Wow! We'll definitely be praying for you and the whole family to be able to make that adjustment.

WOW! Good luck.
WOW! Good luck.
WOW! Good luck.
WOW! Good luck.

There, I said it 4 times, just to be on the safe side. :thumbsup2

Holy pierogi! Congratulations!

What are their ages? You switched countries, didn't you? I'm a quarter Polish, but it's definitely my favorite quarter. It means I can call people in my family a dumb Polak and nobody really gets mad. I got to spend a couple weeks in the Motherland in 2001- it was great.

If they're old enough to retain their native language, (close to puberty) you may want to look in to Rosetta Stone and learn it too. I still remember some of the language I picked up. If there is any language I could learn, I'd pick Polish. I'm a little jealous.

Thanks guys. I hope I quoted everybody. There are two boys and two girls in the group. The ages are 8,7,5 and 3. So by the time we get them home I will have children whose ages are 9,8,8,8,6 and 4!

We are very excited. Still have lots of paperwork to do and grants to apply for. The toughest part will be that Kim will be in country for four weeks without me (DSIL will be there with her).

We had no intentions of switching countries, but these kids were actually apart of a sibling group of 10 :scared1: They were removed due to abuse and neglect and if someone didnt take these four, they would be split individually and I just couldn't let that happen if there was any chance we could do it.

It means it will be awhile before we hit WDW again, but that is a sacrifice we are willing to make. On the bright side though I could carry a flag around and we could be our own tour group!!

Morning guys,

Off to the doctor in a bit to have him look at my shoulder. Still hurts like a bear. Hopefully I get some good drugs. I plan on filling out my bracket today so if it flops and I am high on pain killers, there is a built in excuse.
Similar situation. Home today with nasty cough. I couldn't sleep all night. Feels like I'm trying to cough up a brick. the doc gave me some cough medicine with hydrocodone. Bracket will be filled out 30 minutes after I take the dosage!

Congratulations. You win. I don't know what you win, but you win. :thumbsup2
He won a Dole Whip w\ bacon. What else could be better?

Morning guys. Went to dinner with the family to help my dad celebrate his 60th birthday yesterday. It was a nice evening and we got to share with them the news I've been teasing for a couple of weeks. DW and I decided to expand our clan and we should be getting the new addition sometime in October. I tell you, if this was baseball I'd be Ted Williams.:rolleyes1 Anyhow, fingers crossed for a DS this time. I love my DD's and wouldn't trade them for anything but I hear there is an ammo shortage so it'd be just as well.

We are both excited and a bit petrified of being outnumbered as well. Should be fun though.

Congratulations! Good luck, God bless and may the Force be with you.

I have not really good news and bad news. Saw the doctor this morning about the shoulder. The verdict? Probably a torn Rotator Cuff. Probable because he would need to confirm it with an MRI which would cost me big bucks. They won’t recommend surgery without the MRI and besides the surgery would cost additional big bucks. I am not really a good candidate for surgery right now anyway.

The good news that is not really good news is he wants me to try to rehab it. I now have a number of exercise to do to try to fix it. The really bad news is no diving for at least a couple of months. He did give me a prescription for good drugs but I am under orders to take them only when it gets really bad. Not a happy camper right now.

Well, that certainly isn't good news at all. I do hope the rehab works for you and hopefully you'll be a good patient and do as you're supposed to. :rolleyes1

CJ, I hope you can heal up through the rehab.

The only thing better than bacon Dole Whips would have been if he'd picked a morning that there was some kind of elevated threat and security had dogs patrolling the bag check area. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

That would be funny. "Excuse me sir, is that bacon in your pants or is my dog happy to see you?"

...We are both excited and a bit petrified of being outnumbered as well. Should be fun though.

Congratulations. Just remember that strategy can always win over numbers.

Ahem....Gentlemen....please please...I refer you to the reference:rolleyes1 Also known as the Page 1 reference to DisneyFed's minvan---just so everyone is "on the same page"

Is the falling out of the boat incident also on page 1?

thats odd..................... ill be at the:

studios in the am on 5/22

magic kingdom in the am and epcot in the pm at the rose and crown on 5/23

:rolleyes1

I'll PM you and Brian my number. I see a Dis Dad throw down on Toy Story and a possible meet with Paul's son at R&C for a pre-dinner cocktail.

WOW Duck. What huge hearts you and Tina have. My mom and her 6 siblings were orphaned when she was really young. The remaining family members had the option of splitting them up or putting them together in an orphanage. It will mean a lot to those kids to grow up together.

Anyone else get hit with the rains today? We got nearly 3 inches of rain and the Ohio River is running a little higher this evening!

CJ....I hope your shoulder gets to feeling better soon!

Chris.....I hate that you are still having trouble with your gut and that you have to wait until April 10 to get it checked out more!! Is there no way they can get you in sooner since you are having so much trouble?

David...I am so proud of you guys for choosing to not let the 4 kids be seperated. More than likely they would have ended up all over the world and never seen each other again. So, is this deal a buy one get three free?:rotfl: Just kidding :rotfl: What happend to the other 6 kids in the family?

Hey Philip, How are you......Where you been?

Just the normal stuff here.....Well, and a penguin thread.:scared:

Howdy, we are good here, hate that I haven't been on the boards alot but been trying to get DD and myself a house, it's tricky when your looking around 100k and you don't want your DD playing in the backyard next to barking pitbulls (seriously 2 great houses I had to look away from because of chained up pitbulls next door and little to no fence) but we will keep on looking

That Just Sucks CJ! You have had more than you share of Peanut Butter! Get better quick!

What is going on with Justin? I must have missed it!!!

He's not sterile.

Congrats Justin and David! :cool1::cool1:

And Congrats to Randall too! Only 4 more sleeps until you get to hang out with me!!!!:thumbsup2

Boy year-end counts are...fun...at least the pizza was LOADED with bacon. Four hours to go

You can always ride the penguins home. That didn't sound right.

Better to fix it now then become a bigger issue later

Evening guys…
Trying to catch up at least a little bit around here.

Hi guys! Been away a couple of days with a nasty cold. The DW and I have decided to move forward with the adoption of a sibling group of four from Poland. We are very excited and the time frame to get them home is approx. one year.

Glad you found the answer that will work best for you.
If you don’t mind, we’ll be keeping y’all on the prayer list.
Taking on four at once is a mighty tall order, but I believe that you’ll be ale to do this.
Congrats and keep us in the loop. We won’t be able to offer up much advice from experience on this one, but you know we’ll be offering up plenty of support.

Sorry to hear about this.
May the pronouncement not be as bad as it first appears.
Prayers for a rapid recovery sir.
