Hey thanks for quick response and all that information, Norman. I will cut and paste into a word doc and keep for next year.

It would be great if we didn't have to move cabins and then we wouldn't have to pack our cases (Yuck) we are now in 6011 for the WBTA and couldn't get that one again so we are next door in 6015 for the 7 night afterwards - anybody on the DIS is 6015 that we know - would they like to swap with us for the WBTA so we can stay in the same cabin??? Will buy you a drink!

My advice is keep checking and let the CM know you are doing a B2B. We did a Eastern/Western and when we booked we did not have the same rooms. My wounderful DW talked to a CM and we got some pixidust and ended up with the same room for both.

Hi everyone!!!

DH & I just got off the Fantasy tow days ago and signed up for this cruise!!!
I'm trying to catch up with signing up for activities,but it looks like we're a little late coming to the WBTA party...will still make the effort to join as many goings ons as possible.

We were on the Fantasy MV and the Magic Western Caribbean MV in 2002 and our first DCL, the Magic in 2000.So the WBTA will be Disney cruise #5 for us.

DH is a retired HS principal who has also lifeguarded for over 50 years-now certifies LG's in spare time.
I am a retired Middle School counselor....yes, I could write a book..........

Back in 2000, we took a group of 40 students to Barcelona...took an overnight train from there to Paris..... did another trip with 40 students the following year to Dublin & London.......yep,lots of stories there too....

DH & I are looking forward to going back to Barcelona WITHOUT 40 students in tow....... will be looking through ALLLLLLL these pages for info on hotels, as I don't remember the one we stayed at 13 years ago,although if I saw it in print I'd recognize it.....

Do remember DH ordering San Gria at a cafe' on the Ramblas - it was brought in a glass so big,we could take a bath in it......looking forward to another pitcher of those!!!!!!!!
Also remember another chaperone,a history teacher, buying a beautiful leather jacket in a small store down a side street.
DH & I were eating Tapas for the first time,but had to leave the counter before we could finish because some students were swimming off the beach..........at midnight.......time for a round-up.....all boys....wanted to feel if the water there "felt different" from the Atlantic.......they called it research......
Spent Wednesday in San Juan, on our cruise,last week. Looking forward to spending more time walking around Old San Juan. Reminded me a little of our home here in Key West, where the architecture is so beautiful too. Will need PR hotel info also.......

Kevin thanks for the advice and will ring DCL and speak to a CM...I presume you mean a Cruise Manager?

It would be nice to stay in the same cabin and not to have to pack up those suitcases!!

Good memory! I think it was mixology. DD Jess was the beneficiary of all the drinks my mother and I didn't like (boy, can that kid hold her booze!). I remember Dennis being happy to try any and all offerings! And, of course, we were your Secret Mickey.

This trip, it will just be the three of us (so far).

Has anyone else noticed that the prices have gone up quite a bit in the last 2 weeks? Or, at least, our category is gone and the next higher category left is $200 more per person.

yes, ours has gone up considerably since booking. Almost double, I think.

Absolutely!


While my favorite is 'Shadow of the Wind,' I thoroughly enjoyed the other two books as well, which again focus on the Sempere family. The three books make a very, very enjoyable read. I particularly enjoyed the references to places we visited/will visit in Barcelona. These books really bring the history of Barcelona to life, and on our visits to Barcelona, the buildings, streets and places have a new meaning.
