Is 50s Primetime worth the experience/staying in the park for? or would we be better off leaving and getting lunch somewhere else (Epcot - Marrakesh maybe)? Thanks!
IMO, 50's is the only place worth eating at DHS besides HBD. If you plan on spending the day at DHS it is worth going to so that you are not going back and forth between DHS and another park or resort.
We loved Primetime 50s!
here is my review on the place:

50's Prime Time Café is a must for us. We really enjoyed it on our last trip. It was one of the first places that we booked for our upcoming trip in June! Good luck and I hope you have a fantastic trip!

We love it too! And while HS is my least favorite park for dining, I would have lunch at 50s or Sci-fi before leaving to eat at another park any day. That is of course if you were planning to come back. If you are leaving for a different park anyway, then eat at whichever of the two sound better for your family.
We probably wouldn't come back same day. But I am intrigued by 50s Primetime and I always like to try someplace new. Thanks for the help!
If you are intrigued by it, just do it. Don't let some random strangers talk you in or out of a restaurant. If there is something about it that is drawing you towards it, go for it and come up with your own opinion. The two worst things that could happen is that you try it, don't like it and you never have to go again or you don't try it and never know what you are missing out on. Personally, I'd rather know than not know.

I agree with OhthePain. If it appeals to you then go for it. Only you will know if you like it or not.
We love it. It is a must do most trips. I love their fried chicken and mashed potatoes. DH loves the Pot Roast. Last trip he got the sampler and was very happy.
Good Luck
Perfectly said.. Too many people here rely on restaurant advice from strangers (often who are only spouting off what they heard about a place). If you think you want to try it, then try it. Best example is Le Cellier -- used to get rave reviews and you'd think it was sent from heaven if you read the old reviews here.. Then as soon as it went to two credits on the dining plan, everyone hated it. The food was the same, but people couldn't stomach the two credits. If it had always been 2 credits, it would still be a favorite.
It is one of our favorites but we like home style food. It is a bit of a greasy meal. You can ask to substitute the collared greens for green beans or carrots (that is what they offered my mother as a substitute last week). My favorite is the sampler. It is a heavy meal so I tend not to eat much for the rest of the day. We do lunch.
