It seems that no one has received a free dining pin for this summer. Usually by now there have been pins sent out. Is anyone else frustrated and stressed that it may not happen this year?

I was waiting for one to book. I guess I'm not going this year. I need to free dining pin to go. I'm sad and frustrated too.

Hoping for one but still going regardless. As a single mom we have to stay at a value which is fine as we love Pop. Free dining would be great though.

it seems there have been NO pins sent out for the later part of June/July/ and beginning of August!! I got the last pin a few months ago, but cant use it for our July trip! :confused3

I am becoming a little discouraged at this point. I wish someone had an idea if (or when) pin codes are even going to be offered this summer. I have been fortunate to receive free dining for the last 3 summers for June. It's the only way we can go.

Frustrated yes, but we haven't given up hope yet. The current offer has to be booked by March 31 so I'm thinking something will come out April 1. Fingers crossed!

There is a new offer coming out on April 2. It is a room discount with the option to purchase discounted tickets good for dates through mid August.

Yes, it is frustrating waiting. The last three years at least there was hope with the waiting. This may be the year those free dining pins for summer that we were so lucky to receive have come to an end! Let's hope not though!!!

Frustrating it can be waiting for discounts/FD, so much so that it starts taking the fun out of Disney. We’ll be going in October regardless but, I’m not going to be too upset if nothing comes out. This coming from someone who has used FD the last 5-6 years and love it!! I can’t remember the last time I paid for a meal down there.

I’m just simply tired of playing the game to be honest. I’m tired of waiting every year for April (sometimes even later) to come around and hope and pray they throw us a bone.

I’m tired of arranging my trip dates. Finding great flight deals but then needing to wait because Disney may or may not include those dates, so we wait even longer. Deciding to jump on these flight prices because there only going to go up after they've already gone up. O look!! Free dining came out but it starts the day after we were planning to get there… Can everyone in the party swing an extra night and split the stay so that we can check in and then check back out and then check back in the next day to take advantage of FD? With the money we’re saving with free dining we’ll still be making out. Wait a second… Disney decided to include our original arrival date, so now we’re locked into higher priced flights with the option to go back to the original date that we didn’t need to change in the first place.

I’m tired of the game planning. I used to thrive on it, now I’m just sick of it. In the end, yes the money saved is great, but the stress is going to kill me! :O)

We’re going, our dates are set and if discounts are applied for my dates, great! But I’m done doing the Disney dance. For the first time in years, I’ve had no stress and paid absolute ridiculously low prices for flights. Feeeeels gooood.

Maybe I’m the only one that played this game in the past, and some of the stress was self-inflicting but I have a feeling I’m not the only one.

I live in Texas and I keep seeing specials on TV that include dining. Which is kinda funny because it's just the spring offer that you can "add" dining to.:furious:

You are NOT the only one!!! We are also going in Oct. and booked with dining. Was hoping FD would come out, but man I'm so tired of worrying about it! I have pages of itineraries planned out depending on "what if" dining comes out on this day or that day...ENOUGH!!! I'll pay for it and go when I originally planned! If FD happens to come out then great, I'll add it...but no more stressing out about it!

O good! Glad to see there are other CrAzY people out!! :O)

No you don't!! People think that but it's simply not true. A room discount will save you more $$$$.

You can't possibly know that a room discount will save more money for them than free dining. Free dining can save several hundred more dollars than a room discount depending on their party size, their ages, and the level of resort they stay in. For families, free dining is almost always the best deal.

I hear you! I feel the same way except that the feeling is actually making me not even want to go, which saddens me because disney was always my favorite vacation. The price of Disney has gone up soooo much for us that without the discount it really is crazy expensive. Quite frankly, if it weren't for my youngest wanting to go back so badly, I'd be seriously considering other vacations. Our last trip to Disney was August 2010 when my youngest was only 5. So, we will do Disney this year for her, but something else next year. Disney is making it too expensive, too stressful, and too difficult to plan for us to go every year like we did from 2000 til 2010. The next rumored discount only covers the first three days of our August trip and then I need to wait AGAIN to find out what the next promo might be. I just want it booked already! Enough of the games! I was sick of the games three years ago which (along with a couple of bad experiences back to back years) made me look for other destinations for our vacation. I guess I should thank Disney though because we found out that there are other trips to take that we enjoy just as much! Can I even sat that here, LOL!?!?

No it won't. I have done the math. The free dining will save me $1900. We are a family of 5 and we all count as adults.

I think they are referring to the fact that you can eat at Disney for MUCH less than what the dining plan costs. You don't have to eat at a TS every day or pay tips for them every day.

People have gotten hooked into thinking they have to eat a certain way at Disney to save money.

All the rumors I have heard are that the current promotion is what will be. No more free dining.

A room discount and paying out of pocket for quick service meals without desserts can be a lot cheaper than free dining. Is it as luxurious? No, but you can still go to Disney World.

I have decided not to go to Disney this year. It will be too expensive. Whether its quick service or table service, the free dining saves ALOT of money, especially when traveling with 3 men with healthy appetites. I will miss it!
