I was reading what I could find about the Harry Potter expansion at USF, and someone was describing a ride like an elevator simulator that would appear to move in 3 dimensions. That doesn't sound like a Gringotts coaster to me, more like a Ministry for Magic ride.

Anyone have anymore rumours?

I haven't heard much of anything...they are keeping things pretty closed mouthed.

Have you read the thread over at Orlando United? They seem to be pretty informed about what is going on and they are saying Gringott's. You can already see coaster track inside the building, so there are definitely going to be coaster parts. The elevator is apparently part of the queue or preshow.

But what about people who don't like Harry potter? It keeps taking over and it's something I skip.

@Bean786 what about Jurassic Park 4 (2014)? There's a little bit of unused land between toon lagoon and thunder falls. Something cool and high-tech?

I like Jurassic park theme because you don't have to know it to 'get it'. and I love all the marvel stuff. So much you can do with it. To me Harry potter and twilight or any major 'thing' you have to know it. When I rode the Harry potter ride and visited the land, it was just oh ok, because I've never seen it. It doesn't appeal to me. Which is nice actually cause I don't feel the needs to wait in the lines :)

There is a rumored/planned JP expansion coming in 2014

I don't think we'll ever see Phase 3. I think we'll get expansions in current lands but none of them will be Harry Potter.

I can see expansions in Jurassic Park. Lots of area that can be repurposed and reconfigured there. Toon Lagoon can update and make us of that theatre. Curious George and Fievel can be totally redone and expanded into a fabulous kids area. There is even room between MIB and Simpsons that can be reconfigured at well.

I've already heard rumblings of a phase 3. However it would be small modifications to phase 1 and 2 once complete

I saw this in the USPTO patent applications a couple weeks ago. It stood out to me because it talks about a ride to simulate the illusion of teleportation on riders. It mentions Harry Potter as an example but also mentions other science fiction and fantasy stuff like Star Trek. I see that it uses something like an elevator with multiple motions in multiple directions. If Universal was securing this for HP, it would probably be very hush hush.

Me either. And the wording doesn't make sense either.

I love HP, but just can't see a third area opening. Maybe expanding existing areas.... Didn't there used to be a thread where people gave ideas for what would be good rides/attractions for the WWoHP? That was cool!
