Chatter's Delight! A place to talk to your hearts desire!

:rotfl: I bet you do! Seriously, a drink in DLR is better than a drink anywhere else. When I had my black pearl, the sun was shining, you could hear CA Screamin in the distance, Goofy was conducting his water symphony ~ it was just lovely!

Have you ever sat in the Uva Bar in DTD? It is a great place to sit and people watch. They also have some great drinks too! In 2010 Scotty and I tried this drink they make called a Pineapple Upside Down Cake. It is amazing. I try to visit there at least once a trip.

We are coming back in May. Little Llama and I have been looking forward to this for two years. She discovered the joys of the roller coasters during our last visit, so she wants to hit all the mountains first.

Your trip is getting close. The weather should be great in May too.

I've always wanted to visist DL in May. It's just never in the stars with the way school is.

My favorite place for an adult beverage is Trader Sams, the Kracatoa is very tasty and it packs a punch. The Cove is a very close second, they make a ginger lemonade that you can have with our without alcohol and the lobster nachos are very tasty.

It's been awhile since I've been to the UVA bar! I think the last time was a couple of Halloween seasons ago :) I remember they had a special menu for Oktoberfest :)

How fun. My youngest loves coasters too. She just got tall enough to ride Screamin within the last year, and now it's her favorite ride. FYI BTMRR will be closed down when you visit :worried: I think it's down for most of 2013, I don't remember exactly when it will re-open but I know it's after summer.

We used to do a Mothers Day trip every year when my middle daughter was in band/choir because they always did a school trip at that time for music in the parks. We had to take our youngest out of school for at least a day though, and that was back when blockout tickets were only $40...(we have a Deluxe AP so Saturdays in May are blocked).

I've had that drink at Trader Sams! That's another fun place.

I have always wanted to go for my birthday in May but it hasn't happened yet! I have never been to Trader Sam's. Maybe next time. What is the Kracatoa?

Little Llama's school lets out right at the end of May, so that is when we usually go.

That is disappointing. I guess that means more time for Matterhorn and Space Mountain. :) Thank you for the heads up.

Merry Friday everyone!

Hi guys.

I am sitting at Kaiser waiting for Scotty. He has his first of two Drs appointments. He wrecked his bicycle this morning and beat up his body. :( Good thing he had this appointment scheduled. Then he has his second biopsy for his cancer. Plus we had an earthquake that was loud and rattled our windows. I need a vacation.

I'm not sure I'm spelling it right, but a Kracatoa is a rum drink and for a little extra you can have the ceramic tiki cup/mug and light up cube. there is a little show for it inside trader sams and the volcano the have "outside the window" errupts in a similar fashion the rain comes down at the Tiki Room. The cup is about six inches tall and two inches in diameter, no handle.

I learned today that the class I'm enrolled in is not needed. The original plan was to transfer to Sac State after I'm done with my core classes at the junior college. That plan changed to CSU Stanislaus. Well, silly me, I'm still looking at the core requirements for Sac State and this class is a requirement, at Stanislaus it is not. luckily, I found out soon enough to get my tuition returned to me and get a full refund for my book.

That's great! Its so nice when you can get your money back.

Merry Friday everyone!

Happy Friday everyone, even though it's my Monday :) I work Fri-Mon now and every other Thursday.

Happy Weekend!!!

That's a lot of stuff happening at once! Hope all is well after the earthquake, and I hope the results of the biopsy turn out well as well!

That drink sounds so cool!

Glad you can get a refund for that class!

I am glad it's the weekend. Any time I get to spend with Seth is good with me! I think we are just going to hang around the house today. My brother might be coming up from Calgary, so we might have some drinks and play cards tonight. Tomorrow we are going to take Seth to the wave pool. It's toonie day, so it's $2 each for me and Dillon, and free for Seth. Not bad!

Just working away :surfweb: I'm staying a little over today for some OT, but I have Bobby's station's holiday party to look forward to. They always do their holiday party in January. It will be at BJ's brewery ... chain restaurant place. I'll definitely be down for this :drinking1 after a 12 hour day ;)

Happy Weekend!!!

Hi Andrea! I feel bad because I didn't come back on sooner but it has been crazy. Good news! The Dr told him that he may not definitely have cancer and if he does it should be easily treatable. But even if he doesn't he has the "pre" cancer cells and will eventually get it but it is all okay. We know now that it is easily treatable. Also he thankfully didn't break his wrist.

I think you deserved it after a 12 hour day. I like the idea of having it after the holiday.

What are you going to school for?

I'm working on my Computer Science degree. I have an electrical certification, but I under estimated how much physical labor went into the job. I've never seen a thin electrician so I thought "no problem". My DH's hands are so rough you could scrub lagsana off the baking dish with them. Plus, I'm a lot better at theory.

Happy Dance:cool1: I'm car shopping!!!!:drive: We're in the middle of refinancing the house, when it's final I get the car!! The refinance is done, we'll be saving $300/month. In six months Monkey will be out of preschool and starting kindergarden the following fall, that's another $250 in our pocket. Remember that way awesome tax return? In addition to doing our most EPIC DL trip, we'll be paying off most of the bills/credit cards and getting the smaller ones down to $200 so that's another $300-500/month in our pocket!!

The car we are getting is a 2013 Outback. It has a moonroof, heated seats, tons of cargo space and leg room, the rear seats recline and this year's model has increased torque, which means more "get up and go" and better towing capacity. Also, most new cars (Subarus incuded) have bluetooth capabilties. So I sync my phone with the car and can make/recieve calls hands free. It also alows for playing music from my phone's play list through the car's speaker wirelessly. The controls for the phone and radio are on the car's stearling wheel. Outbacks are AWD!!! Today I get to go negotiate and see if they can lock in the price. I'm talking with two dealers and they both say they'll beat the other, so we'll see. In a month or less (depending on how fast the loan goes through) I'll post pictures of my new ride!!! This will be my first NEW car!!!
