Does anyone know how this deal works? If I am coming in on June 26th-June 28th to Universal and I purchase a 2 day with 3rd day free at undercover tourist will it still be valid?
It says first use has to be by June 17 to get full use and maybe that is because it is only available to be used by the end of June? but I know it can be used over a 10 day period, so if I start using it on the 26th will it still be okay. It is a little confusing. And I apologize as I may have asked this before. I was doing research before, but now I am booking things and I found it to be much more cost effective to books the room only with AAA and get the tickets separate. So now I am really seriously planning and want to be sure before I purchase.

thanks!

It is actually good for 14 days, that is why the 17th date, in order to use your last day by June 30th you would have to activate it on the 17th, otherwise you have less than 14 days.

We are coming in on the 21st and plan on using them over the weekend, you do have to purchase it by the 16th

ahh, yes, don't know why I said 10 days because that didn't make sense if good till end of June. Okay, so we are good to use it on our dates. And ordering from Undercover tourist won't make a difference then? I have never ordered from them before, just heard about them on here and mousesavers.
thanks

I lied, I just called again and spoke with a different person who had a different story. They said that you have to actually go intot he park on the 17th not just activate it but actually be at the park.

This guy was pretty rude and right now I think I might spend the extra money and head over to Disney since I'm pretty peeved off at this guy's attitude.

Sorry that you got a jerk..

I also called previously and was told that you could use it up until the 30th. You do not have to be there on the 17th.
The 17th is just so you get the full benefits of the 14 day window.

(we actually decided not to buy this and get the 3 park pass instead)

When I get home I'll take a pic of my pass - it's exactly the buy 2/get one free deal. Ordered from Undercover Tourist at Xmas time - we are using it at the end of the month, but it will have the details on the back in print.

Tonight I'll post the details.

Great! I will look for the pic. I can tell you that my AAA travel agent told me that she was told the 3rd day was free for my dates if I got them with the original package, but she cannot guarantee if I didn't order them that way. But they are much cheaper if I get them separate and I don't see why it would be different. But who knows, could be she got the wrong info. in the 1st place.

She said I should call, maybe I will get a nicer customer service rep.

I also have one of those Undercover tickets that I bought for my mom to use on our May trip. I have it in my hand. On the back it says:

Insiderguide.com, LC
Ticket expires 13 days after first use. Ticket expires in full on 06/30/2013
This ticket is valid for one (1) Theme Park admission per day
(Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure)
2-Day Base w/3rd Day Free -AD

then below that it has a bunch of numbers and a bar code.

Buying them with a package would make no difference. Packages don't originate with Universal but are put together by travel agencies.

We need phampton to come and give us the real answer.

Okay, so I just talked to a nice person at Universal..well actually 2. First person transferred the call because she really wasn't sure of the answer.
2nd person told me that the ticket would not cover my dates (June 26-28) and then she spoke to a supervisor when I explained the confusion of myself and some others.

Supervisor confirmed that no, the ticket will not be good for my dates and not only would the 3rd day not apply, but no day would apply unless I used it once by the 17th.

So, I said, "If I came in on the 26th with 4 of these tickets, I would not even be able to use 1 day, never mind 3?" and she said, "that is correct". Boy, would I have been upset if I had gone and spent the money only to find out I can't use it at all!
I am not purchasing this deal. But I think others have. I am just going to go with 2 days now, since our first day was only a partial and I don't want to pay for that now. a little disappointed, but what can you do? :confused3

I am going to also post this on a new thread just to alert others who are not subscribing to this one. And I talked to my travel agent about it as well.

There has been some discussion on here about the buy 2 day park pass get 3rd free deal. The deal includes 14 days for citywalk, etc... and says it must be used by June 17th in order to get full benefits and expires completely on June 30th.

So, some of us were thinking we could still begin to use the pass after the 17th and get the 3rd day free, but just not take advantage of the full 14 days of other benefits of it.
Today, I was told by a rep. at Universal and a supervisor that this is not the case. If you do not make the 1st use of the pass by the 17th then it will not be valid and not only will you not get the 3rd day free, but you won't be able to use the pass at all. :sad2:
I think some others were told something else, but I just wanted to pass this along. Could be someone will call and get a different answer, but I have decided not to take the chance.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure the information will come in handy.

I called back and talked to a supervisor, maybe the guy was having a bad day and I can only stay mad for about 1 minute. I gave her the exact wording on the web which stated that it had to be used by the 17th to get full benefits but expires on the 30th. She agreed that it is misleading, she did say that if you just go to one of the citywalk venues at night and activate it then it counts if done by the 17th.

Usually these promotions are clear as mud :) really surprised that it was this confusing. We are still going to go, just glad I did not go ahead and buy the kids those tickets now :)

oops...Sorry I was repetitive. I was just hoping to catch anyone who may have purchased the tickets and were hoping to use them as I was.
but, I am sure they can find the info. on this thread if looking anyway.

Wish we were somewhere near Citywalk by the 17th to take advantage, but in the big picture it's not a big deal anyway. I am going to be in Orlando and it "Hogwarts"....all is good! :goodvibes

Do you recall who you spoke with? Was it Guest Services?
