Florida town car? $85 rate

Has anyone used them what are your feeling? Anyone used their $85 round trip from airport to hotel and back? Sounds too good to believe. Need advice please.

We have not used them, but doing a quick search on the Transportation board for Florida Town Car I found 5 or 6 threads with very good reviews. I did not see a bad one. But I stopped after the first page of results. You may get better results if you post this over there.

I googled this company...I see a rate of $100. Now...they say that MK resorts are higher due to the fee charged to enter...but the site still says it's $100. It's not a company I'm familiar with.

We have used a private limo service for the past 12 yrs when we visit. Since we are a family of six we do not fit in the town car anymore. We really love the service and now know the owner very well. He's very professional and pleasant.

I call about a month out and let him know our flight and time for arrival and departure. The driver is waiting for us at baggage claim with a sign with our name on it. They help us with luggage if we have to claim it. We wait for a few minutes on the curb while the driver gets the limo. (private car services have a special parking place and are not aloud to park at curb) we go directly to our hotel. On the day we leave, they are always at the front door of our resort waiting for us.

Sometimes I prepay with a credit card. Sometimes we pay at time of service.

This is a splurge for us. We always say we will save the money and do ME but when our date gets closer we cave and reserve the service. I highly recommend it if your budget allows.

I do not know the rules for posting info about non-Disney services.

we have used florida towncar for twenty some years , JC and his crew has always been professional , attentive and full of interesting information to make the drives to and from the airport go quicker .

Some towncar services automatically add a gratuity to their fee. And then there are some that will charge you if you want to make a grocery stop. So, make sure that you know if there are any hidden fees associated with that excellent rate.

I have not used that particular car service. I know that there are some that we are not supposed to mention and others that are okay to talk about. The one that I used was Tiffany Towncar and they were very good. We used them for transportation airport > our resort > Port Canaveral > airport. They were on time each time and very courteous.

And if you go all the way to the bottom, you will see that if you want a 30 min grocery stop, you pay an addtl $10. If you arrive between 10pm and 6am...another $10. And that doesn't include any tip either.

What type of car do you get for $85 R/T? A limo? A regular car? I'd totally pay this if we were getting transported in a limo. We're only a party of 3 so not sure if that matters.

We've used Tiffany Town Car several times with the grocery shop. Always great service.

A taxi one way from airport to POP is about $60 not including tip.

If you can find $85 round trip for a towncar that's a great deal!

Some of the companies offer a free grocery stop.

We've also used Tiffany Town Car a few times and have no complaints. This year, we're arriving the same time as my sister's family, so we are getting a larger van for all of us. And we love having the grocery stop - gives us a chance to stock up on bottled water & Gatorade, fruit, and breakfast bars.

As a PP said, we always talk about just using DME, but in the end we enjoy the splurge of the private car just a little too much!

Thanks, goofy4tink. I'll give it a try. The service we use is Wheels to Wings. The owner is Michael. 1(407)240-6655. We have to use an Excursion because we are a family of 6. If memory serves me, it was $250 round trip Nov 11. A town car would, of course, be less. They have other cars to choose from, also. Have never done a grocery stop. Again, it is a big splurge but, for us, very worth it considering how reliable they are and direct service to and from hotel.
