WBPC May 6th 2013 Wonder

I am still a little Fluster  it has been 4 days since my first phone call with the cruise lines and we are still not able to log into our reservations. They say they are still working on it. I would really like to check-in.:confused3

We are probably getting our room number closer to sail date as our TA does it that way.
Would love to have our Disney number so we could start all that signing in business.
So we just patiently wait. But at least I have a few ideas re decorating the door!:yay:

Has anyone have positive things to say re US Airways? We are flying to FLL with them via Phoenix. Any info on that airport?

Even with a TA there is NO reason you should not have your DCL reservation number and be able to do online check-in and pre-booking of excursions, Palo, etc. That has been open to all cruisers since February 20th. This is my in-laws' first DCL cruise, we all booked with a TA, and we've been done with that for weeks now.

Good Morning happy Cruisers!

NO cruise planning happening here :( Thank heavens I can do it in my sleep because we are so focused on our upcoming move, that's all we can think about right now. Fortunately I put our door magnets in my travel folder before the packing started, because I'm SURE I couldn't find them now.

Welcome aboard, Beauty & Family!

Happy Day, all!

Attention WBPC Cruisers!

I had bought a pack of FujiFilm Waterproof Film Cameras. However, I have just recently picked up a digital Waterproof camera, and now have no need for the film ones. (And returning them just seems futile)

Do you mind sharing what camera you purchased? :)

i would have the shuttle pick you up 9-9:30. They WILL throw you off the ship as they need to turn it around for the next group that will be anxiously waiting to board. :sad1: I can't imagine us dragging our luggage around sightseeing at the port.

That's pretty much what I thought. I didn't know if the port had luggage storage services and/or if there was anything right handy at the port to go look at. Guess we'll be hanging out at John Wayne airport for a couple of hours...

How generous of you, Chaopolis to offer up your extra cameras! Looks like I missed out - so ignore my PM. However, I just dug up a disposable waterproof camera that we took to Typhoon Lagoon several trips ago - it seems to have several shots left, so will bring it along & be surprised by whatever else is on the film! :lmao:

Will need to rethink my dress for formal night - it's not fitting the way I want it to & there's a problem with the straps (was a hand-me-down, so can't take it back/exchange) so will be on the lookout for something else.

Hello!

Moving can be so stressful!! Hang in there.

I haven't even started my new door magnets....:scared:

Definitely get a new (or new to you!) dress. I think that half of the part of dressing up is how you feel in what you're wearing. Wear something that fits great and makes you feel good! :goodvibes

To the few with who have Beauty and the Beast in their screen name. I met my awesome wife while we worked together at Beauty and the Beast The Broadway Musical here in Los Angeles 1996. I had started in 1995 for the shows opening and she joined on in 1996 for our last 9 months. I won't lie though, after seeing that show for its entire run here in L.A. six to eight times a week, I cringe when I hear the music. I say to myself, ugh it's that music again.

We are also flying US airways via Phoenix to FLL. I've flown with them before no complaints... can't remember anything standout-ish about the airport just another stopover on the way to somewhere else, we have a three hour layover so we will find our next gate grab some lunch and watch a movie... There is free wifi, and if you are flying US in and out you should stay within Terminal 4 heres a map of the third floor of the terminal... where all the gates are http://skyharbor.com/pdf/Terminal_4_L3_Current.pdf hope that helps some!

Thx for the info
We have a 4 hr. layover so will get something to eat etc as we arrive in FLL after 11 pm Then we are off to the Hilton Airport Hotel on Griffin Rd.
we hope to find others who wish to share a taxi to pick up some liquid refreshments before our shuttle takes us to Miamis pier.
Any one else staying at this hotel?
Wish we were on 17 th as I know there are many stores there.:beach:

Morning all,

Welcome to our the new members of the group.

We are mostly ready for this trip:
Ride to airport, check
Flights to FL, check
Room at WDW, check
Car to port, not confirmed but planned
Cruise, check
Port to DL, check (thinks to our tablemates from our first DCL cruise 5 years ago)
DL Room, check
FLights home, not yet maybe we won't come back home :goodvibes

On another note, would there happen to be a member of the medical profession (doctor or nurse) in our group. If anyone is could you please send me a PM. Without going into much detail just trying to find out if someone can help us out for a onetime shot (literally). I realize there is the medical services onboard, but depending on what they will charge I am looking at other options.

Jon

6 is our favourite deck but I like slightly further back towards the rear stairwell. We had our almost perfect room number but gave it up to save over $2,600 a few weeks ago and are now waiting on a verandah somewhere. I can tell you it took me a couple of days to agree to let go of our room as I love that location. I have to keep my eyes on the money saved when we get one of the rooms we wouldn't choose ourselves. Wait for a moan or two.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I will blame my husband John if it happens.:rotfl:

I have a friend who never, ever, shows anyone she knows her passport or driver's license. Could it be that she doesn't want anyone to know her age?

I am a firm believer in the "60 is the new 40" way of aging.

So, welcome to all those 40-year-olds!
