I was assuming they were mk. We couldn't hear them at all so they must have been pretty far away. They looked huge though!

Yes and it's Pi***ng me off too......We'd never been down there at the same time so it oughta be fun for my kids to see her down there too.

Been there before for a day or so with my other Dsis years ago, which was fun, & also been there w/ my DSiL for a total of 15 days on 2 separate occasions..

I REALLY want to stay at AK following our upcoming cruise, and being a family of 5, that kind of leaves us with the villas! Would one of you possibly be able to tell me if you are seeing any DVC 1 bedroom villa availability Aug 10 - 12?? We plan on trying to rent through David's, but we have a new zero foreign tran fee credit card on the way, so I am trying to hold off before submitting the request. The suspense is killing me though I have been racking my brain trying to see if we know any members, but then I thought the dis is always a helpful group!!

The only 1 BR categories unavailable during that time is the value and club level categories. All standard and savanna view rooms at both Kidani and Jambo are available for those dates.

Staying club level, you should have a better chance of getting a king bedroom. We didn't request one, but got one; it was a handicapped accessible room.

My fiancé and I were originally going to stay in CBR for our Disneymoon, but after lurking this thread for the last couple of weeks, you fine folks have convinced me that AKL is the place to be. I called this morning and changed over to AKL pool view. We will be there from August 26th – September 5TH. Again, thank you very much, for all that you have shared.

....well, a LOT has happened in a week....I've made 3 trips to the vet and, after spending over $1100, it is pretty much a BUST on going to WDW....that is, until just before leaving for the shore this morning at 7AM, my DH asked me if I had booked the vacay.....WHAT???!?! He's purposely trying to send me to the funny farm....

....I've been on the 'puter all morning, scrambling to get something that's really not going to break the bank. Mind you, the budget is even tighter than this time last week, so I have had to get SUPER creative now. This is what I came up with:

Flight:
LGA 4/5 7:05AM - arrive 9:51AM
4/10 1:00PM - arrive 3:37PM

23,190 points (DH's Chase Freedom points) + $201.70 out-of-pocket

Accomodations:
4/5 - 4/7 ASMu $307 (room only w/tax)
4/7-4/10 AKL std $1,630.38 (room w/tax, Dining, 4-day basic park tix)

$1,937.38 total, minus about $1,200 for Disney Rewards points, or $737.38 out-of-pocket.

Remember, we won't have any passes for Friday or Saturday and no meal plan for those two days either...

Jersey for over an hour now]; I give him all the particulars (the info I had already listed) and he seemed pretty receptive to it - I'm gonna wait till he gets home before I decide to book it, especially since that airfare is with HIS Visa card, not mine...
