Mickey/Minnie Shoes- Picture!!!

What a great idea, You did a wonderful job. Did you uses fabric paint? What kind of paint is on the toe? It looks so shiny! How did you get the circle so perfect? Can you tell I do not do crafts much? :rotfl2:

Thanks! Yes, I just used the fabric paint in a bottle that you apply with a brush. I just freehanded the circles- drew them out in pencil first. I thought of making a stencil, but I honestly was just too lazy for that lol!

For the Mickey ears on the toes, I just used an oil based Sharpie PAINT pen and traced around a Mickey head template I made.

All supplies including the shoes ending up being about $15 and maybe an hours worth of time!

I have to make those for/with my 13 year old. She will LOVE them!
Thanks so much for sharing!

Just finished painting these and wanted to share! They were just plain red $10 shoes from Payless.

Just wanted to give you and update. I bought red shoes for my girls and black for my boys. The boys just did the mickey on the toe and a hidden mickey on the heal. The girls match your shoe. They turned out so cool and we had a blast doing the project. Can't wait to our trip where they get too try them out! Thanks so much for the cool idea!

That's awesome! The boys sound really cool too! Glad they turned out well!

So, for super beginners wanting to make something as cute as these shoes, but being a little bit of a perfectionist requiring symmetry... Can anyone suggest a tool/household item, etc that can create a perfect circle like this- wonder if I can buy a circle stamp (sounds stupid, but I couldn't live with it if I had all different sized circles- I'm too weird like that...)? Thoughts or ideas? Would love to give these a shot. Thank You!!

Also- the Sharpie PAINT marker- can these be found at Wal-Mart/Target or mostly just craft stores? Thanks in advance!!

A really good way to get a perfect circle is to use bubble wrap. Simply paint one bubble and stamp it, then you can go over it again with a brush to make it darker.
