2013 Free Dining Watch

My family is going Sept 15-21 this year. Should we go ahead and book our room and then add on the package with free dining or wait until they "hopefully" offer FD?

Are you going with or without FD? If the answer is yes book what you want now. If offers come out and things need to change its easy and in the case they don't you'll be staying where you want.

We are not able to go in sept this year..We had to move it to dec because hubby does not get vacation until then.. I know last year they did offer free dining for some portions but we are renting points and getting a very good deal sooo I hope everyone has fun..I LOVE going in Sept weather is great and crowds are low..

The dates are not usually the same. Don't lose hope yet!

The bounceback offer end date is exactly why I booked us to check in on the 13th, just to be safe! I hope that's not the case, though!

I am also afraid that the more of us that book our rooms/packages in hopes of free dining, will lose out if they decide they don't need to offer it to get us there. My family of four are going the last 2 weeks of August and I'm praying it comes out, but we will be going regardless. My fear about waiting too long to find out, is that if I don't have ADR's now, I may not get the restaurants we want. Soooo... I booked all of my TS meals already and I will cancel what we have to if it doesn't come out. There's no way we could do a TS everyday without a deal. I'll wait until May before I book a package and hope for the best.

Personally, I think Disney *must* realize that most of us who travel in August and September really only do it BECAUSE OF Free Dining. If they take that perk away, they will go back to having more empty rooms than they like.

I am not worried. Perhaps the dates might get shorter, but I think Disney will continue to offer Free Dinjng in the late Summer months when kids go back to school.

Did some searching online and found something that mentions dates for free dining. If its correct I may have to change my dates, as the date I booked for isn't listed as a free dining date

I found a site that lists dates and says it will be released this week. Hope the dates are wrong cause I don't want to move my dates! But if it will save me a bunch of money I'll move it from sept to October. Here's the dates it hints at....

Same criteria as last year...quick serve at values and regular dining at mods...little mermaid rooms at AoA excluded.

If you would have double checked it you would have realized that these dates are all for 2012!!!!
The site where these dates are published meanwhile shows a disclaimer that google mixep two posts and that this specific post was from last year and that until today no dates have been published!!
