This is the last trip the 4 of us ever take to WDW. Nov 2-12 *FinalUpdate 3/19* Pg.59

I just read your MAW report start to finish (it has been snowing all day) and I LOVED IT. You are the best husband ever for buying your wife a D&B, did you manage to get it home as a surprise? What an amazing trip, and now that I know about GTKTW I am going to have to do something, even if it just a donation, what an amazing place!!!!!

Great update, you got some great Safari Pics! I love the Safari, I try to get lots of pics of the animals, last trip i wasn't in a good spot in the truck for good pics so I gave up and just enjoyed the ride.

Love the animal print mouse ears! Purple is my fave color.

When you said the animals were out in force, I thought maybe we'd actually see an action shot of the lion. Yeah, yeah, I know... :rolleyes1

And they're crocs... it is Africa. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

The girls needed to use the bathroom and Christopher needed a diaper change. We only had 15 minutes to kill before our window opened up. I'm glad I had FPs cuz the crowds we out in full force.

You could have kept Christopher in his old diaper and dispersed the crowds pretty easily.

We parked the stroller and walked over to the FP return right at 10. The safari was already a 40 minute wait. It feels weird walking past all those poor saps in line. I try not to make any eye contact with them.

Really? You don't do a victory dance and laugh in their faces like I do?:confused3:rotfl:

I must say the animals were out in full force. I hope you are ready for numerous Kilimanjaro Safari pictures. It wouldn't be a complete trip report without them!

Well, that sure beats photos of empty fields.

The lion on the other hand...

was passed out! I know you are all shocked!

:eek::faint:

You have to warn me before you hit me with surprises like that!

Good to see the animatronics are still working, anyway. :thumbsup2

Luvin the update. Poor Christopher doesn't look to happy on that safari at Tusker house however he looks like he was luvin those characters :thumbsup2 another one converted to a Disney fan yay :cheer2: I love his little screwed up face in the pic with Daisy :goodvibes I love Ana's mouse ears as well :)
Yea, he didn't have too much fun on the safari. He didn't cry the whole time.. just for a min or so when Melody took the pic. :lmao:

great photos of all the animals! cool you saw a gorilla too!
sorry Christopher didn't enjoy the whole safari. Ana looks very cute in her new ears!
She has so many pairs of Mickey ears. I think she leaves them home on purpose when we go to WDW so she can get a new pair. :rotfl2:

FYI - for the people looking at the crocs...they are strapped in with a "monkey tail" attached to their vests....we took the tour on Megan's bday trip and were attached many times for safety!
Oh man. What's the fun of that? :confused3 :lmao::lmao:

That is one heck of a lot of snow!!!
YA think? :lmao:

Love the safari. We saw lots of animals out too. Poor Christopher. that poor guy probably had no clue what the heck was going on being dragged all over the place with real and fake animals all over the place, but I am sure he had a good time too. ;)
I think he was just getting run down a bit. We did what every good parent does while on vacation in WDW with tired kids.... kept pressing on! :rotfl:

Wow! Nice safari pictures! :thumbsup2
Thank you. :goodvibes

Great safari pics! You can't have too many. Poor Christopher does not look thrilled.
Thanks Cynthia! I think Melody is tired of my safari pics. :rolleyes1

Love the safari photos!! I always take about a million and have so far scrapped 0 :lmao:
HAHA... I do too.... like I said above, Melody is tired of all my animal pics.

I'm glad you enjoyed Juliana's MAW report. I stuffed the bag on my side of the suitcase while we were at GKTW then put it in my carry-on for the trek home. ;)

GKTW is such a great place. We were so glad we were able to go back on this trip to visit. :goodvibes

Great update, you got some great Safari Pics! I love the Safari, I try to get lots of pics of the animals, last trip i wasn't in a good spot in the truck for good pics so I gave up and just enjoyed the ride.
The first few pics I took came out crummy. I forgot to change the settings on my camera.

Love the animal print mouse ears! Purple is my fave color.
Juliana is a pink gal, but she did like her new purple ears. :goodvibes

I might of saw him breathing.... does that count?

And they're crocs... it is Africa. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
Ahhh yes. Thank you for slapping me straight.

You could have kept Christopher in his old diaper and dispersed the crowds pretty easily.
That probably would of worked.

Really? You don't do a victory dance and laugh in their faces like I do?:confused3:rotfl:
I might of peeked at a few and smirked... :rolleyes1

Well, that sure beats photos of empty fields.
Or of anything in Wisconsin.

You have to warn me before you hit me with surprises like that!

Good to see the animatronics are still working, anyway. :thumbsup2
Sorry... I knew I'd get someone excited. :hyper:

:lmao: IMHO I was happy to be strapped in a couple of times during the Trek...especially when we crossed the rope bridge :scared1:

Juliana is one smart little cookie, sure having grandma there helped get a few more ears too :rotfl:....Megan has accured quite the minnie mouse collection over the years, think she's at 30+ thankfully they are the little ones and are packed away since she hasn't added any recently!

I have no idea how I missed the last update. :confused3:confused3:confused3

I love Ana's ears...she looks adorable.

Poor Christopher...he did not look happy on his safari at all.

You got some great animal shots; especially the back ends of the rhinos. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

That snow! Has life even returned to normal yet?! We might get more snow next week too...

The picture of Christopher crying and you just grinning away made me chuckle. It's all you can do in those moments is smile and get through it! What a great safari! I've never even really SEEN the lion and lioness other than the bits of their heads, you got some fantastic pictures.

HI, I've been lurking around on this thread since the start of the TR and I just finally decided to make a comment.

1. Love the TR and the pictures. Please keep them coming as it has been some time :surfweb:

2. I'm pretty sure that I read everything but did you (the OP) go into why you titled this thread "the last trip they will ever take:confused3?"

I'm curious.

Thanks!

Not going to post popcorn ( I get busy w kids and life) just stopping by to say :wave2: Hope everyone is well. :goodvibes

I had a feeling it was something like that. Poor Princess. I hope she gets well soon.

oh no...hope they are feeling better today :grouphug:

I talked to Tim yesterday and they were a tad better...but not great. I got a text message from him today to tell me Ana's birthday gift arrived despite them getting another foot of snow last night.

Hey everyone... sorry I've been MIA. I have had no energy or time to DIS for the last few weeks. I usually write my updates during the day when Christopher is sleeping and Juliana is at school. She has been home a lot recently. First we had the blizzard which kept Juliana out of school for almost a week. Then I've been painting my basement for over a week and laid ceramic tile. Then as Kathy told you, both Juliana and Christopher came down with the flu this week. Juliana has strep throat as well. She missed only 4 days of school this week because we got hammered with snow again last night and school was canceled today. Official total was 14'' in our town. I hope to get a few updates done here and on the other report that I'm writing in the next few days. I hope you all have been well. :goodvibes

Glad to hear everyone is on the mend! I hope Juliana had a great b-day despite the storm and sickness! How crazy was this last snow storm? I closed on my house on Wednesday and started moving yesterday and my spot had not been plowed. My dad and I had to use my emergency collapsable shovel to shovel out the ice sculpture.....I mean snow bank that was left behind! Those dinky shovels are not meant to shovel ice. So much for the 3-6 inches we were supposed to get. We ended up with 22 inches!
