Hi, I was wondering if there are any accommodations that fit this description at one of the monorail resorts. I think there might be something, but not very many? Anyone know? Thanks!

Booking a two-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower would be the only way to guarantee having everyone together. At any of the other resorts, connecting rooms would just be a request, I believe.

There are deluxe rooms and suites, that might work for the number of people in your party.

BLT at the CR has 2 bedroom villas. Connecting rooms are possible at resorts, but that's something you would have to request and would not be guaranteed. If you want a guarantee for everyone to be together, it's best to get something large enough to accommodate everyone rather than take the chance of not getting connecting rooms.

all disney resorts have connecting rooms - that say like the op says it is not guaranteed.

so if you want a 2-bedroom villa - unless you are rich - BLT is your only choice.

now VWL is a short boat ride away CR/BLT.

the 2-bedroom at BLT has 3 bathrooms - one master separate whirlpool tub and shower stall - the other 2 are combinations, a full kitchen, either full size washer/dryer or stackable washer/dryer, living area, the window in the living area is just that a window - no wall. there is a king in the master, second bedroom has either 2 queen beds (dedicated) or queen and double sleeper sofa (lock off), in livingroom is a queen size sleeper sofa and a chair bed. It sleeps 9.

VWL has the same thing - except 2 bathrooms and it does not have the chair bed - so sleeps 8

For what it is worth my Dreams Unlimited TA has told me to stay away from the Contempory resort, if I need connecting rooms. Apparently they don't have too many of them. Of course she told me that after we stayed there, and didn't get our requested connecting rooms.:crazy2:

If you want to stay at Bay Lake Towers, look into renting points. It is much cheaper that way, though it does take some trust.

Thank you! Can anyone book a two-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower, or do you have to be DVC?

I am not sure if the deluxe rooms and suites have the second room. It's not the space, but the separation of rooms that I'm looking for. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the detailed information, appreciate it!

Thanks! Is Dreams Unlimited something you would recommend? (assume that's a travel agency?) Maybe it's finally time to educate myself about how the DVC points work...

Anyone can rent a villa through Disney - you don't have to be a DVC member. They are expensive if there is no discount available. As another pp stated, you could look into renting points which makes the villas cheaper.

Thank you! I haven't priced the villas yet! :scared: I need to look at the DVC renting points thing.

Yes, anyone can book a villa on a cash reservation as long as what you want is available. The WL deluxe rooms have a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, separated by french doors from a bedroom with 2 queens. I believe there is just 1 bathroom, but the bedroom is separate from the living room. Other resorts have deluxe rooms as well, but I think those are just larger than a regular room, rather than having a separate bedroom and living room.

Some CMs will tell you that connecting rooms are guaranteed, but in reality they are not. It might even say in small print on the confirmation, but it is just a request. They try to guarantee connecting rooms when there is just 1 adult to more kids than what would fit in a regular room, but even then sometimes it does not happen.

I have been lucky and always been able to get connecting rooms at CR, but as others have stated, it is not guaranteed. On the monorail you can also stay at Poly & GF.

I do love BLT and we ended up buying DVC there. You can check over on the DVC boards for more info. Remember you can book DVC Villas through Disney, rent points from owners, rent points from a rental company.

Nice boat ride from WL & VWL.

Also maybe consider Fort Wilderness Cabin, depending on the number of people in your group.

Thanks! WL/FW are a little further than we want for this trip. Do Poly & GF have a 2-bedroom setup available? I'm going to do some reading about DVC. Thank you!

I have been fortunate enough to do both the Deluxe room at WL and the 2br Villa at BLT. Both are worth. every. nickel! But different! The BLT is priceless for little ones since you can walk back and forth and be really close for naps. But the WL somehow seems a little more fun and themed when the kids are done with strollers....and the boat over is great! You really can't go wrong with either. But technically speaking, if you do want monorail, it will be BLT as your best bet. SOOOOOO nice to have the shared living area and two bedrooms with a group. Kids go to bed and parents can stay up and visit!

Thank you, appreciate the info! I think BLT sounds like we need for this trip, but WL sounds great too.

Do Poly & GF have a 2-bedroom setup available?

The Poly has a few Club Level 2 bedroom suites but they run over $1600 per night during the Value season. The GF also has some 2 bedroom suites, they are even more expensive than at the Poly.
