I've never stayed in the CR tower and was wondering for those that have is the extra cost worth it? There are mixed reviews on tripadvisor.
Thanks

Do you mean Bay Lake Tower?
For me, it would definitely be worth it. But in the end it's only as different as any other resorts - the service is pretty much the same wherever you go.

I find the decor so much nicer than CR... And I prefer the views so much. It depends if those two things (which are really the only differences) are worth the price to you, such a personal thing.

I have stayed at disney close to 40 times(so lucky). Hands down the best view is CR tower/MK view side. We stayed at BLT on the back side facing Bay Lake last Nov and we were so disappointed. The last 2 times we stayed at BLT we had a LVR but were on the outer side and when you can hear and see the monorail, boats, and train of MK is so magical. Also you can hear the afternoon shows and listen to sounds of parades and watch the fireworks. We have a teen B & G so we need space of BLT now but we had to stay at CR one night before a trip in 2010. I was like a little kid. I would open the door , lean over rail in the hallway and watch all the people and activity in the lobby. Then I would run through the room and sit on my balcony and watch the MAGIC in MOTION. I also like the pool area. The 2nd pool that sits close to the lake is usually empty. At Thanksgiving week I was often the only one in the pool. The beach area is quiet too. So you get hectic inside and peaceful out back. Hot tub is nice too. Also as much as we love to ride the monorail knowing you can sleep in and leave 15 minutes before rope drop at MK and know you can walk there in time is a good benefit. Same with after parades at night. So easy to walk back and be home fast.

It is expensive to stay there but the smile on your face will be worth it. AND even years later I watch the videos from there and listen to the sounds of MK and I am still smiling:love:

That's one of the things I like about staying in the tower. I love both Bay Lake view and Magic Kingdom view. I say you can't go wrong with either view. We own @ BLT and my DH doesn't like having to walk over to CR for food and other services. Really to me it's not that bad. We've never stayed in the south garden wing. Hope that helps and didn't confuse.
