Cheaper rate thru orbitz but have double res now

Thanks so much for this info. I went ahead through Ebates and booked a room over at POR Royal Rooms for almost 100.00 cheaper!! Yayyy... now will wait and link my ressie over to the Disney site and then cancel my Disney one. Used my Disney Visa for extra reward dollars too :cool1:

Very nice. :)

How long after booking can Orbitz obtain my Disney ressie number. I booked last night... I want to get this all sorted out ASAP...stressing me out!

On the phone with Orbitz... they have me on hold calling the resort to see if they have the 12 digit code. Kinda of a pain... been on hold for 23 min... But, worth it for the savings. I will let you know how this pans out.

I hate phones that why I emailed! But your way is faster:rotfl2:

All set- thanks for the info. The resort gave them the 12 digit code and I linked it. I then canceled the Disney one. All set...ahhh. Stress is over and I saved 85.16 so it was worth it. Might not be for some but for me that is a dinner :)

Yep I changed my CSR for $56 and change and figured our money, why not?

Glad it worked out !

Now, I linked my ressie and I noticed that my two kids are listed as adults. I know this is an issue with Orbitz. How do I get it changed to show they are children and not adults? Disney cannot see my orbitz ressie as of yet.

Should I have booked the room for just two adults and then add the kids later? I booked it with 4 total two of them being my kids aged 6 and 4...help

It is 134.00 cheaper if I do it this way. Is it ok to do that??

Booked it with two adults and will have to wait until tomorrow to see if they have it in their system. I tried just a few minutes ago and they gave me the same conformation number that I had when I booked 4 people. Anyone know how long it takes for the hotel to get that info from Orbitz?

Correct me if I am wrong. I called Disney and since they did not handle my reservation they cannot modify it to add my two children on. I heard that we would have to contact Orbitz for that. I thought since I linked my ressie with the Disney site they would be able to do that for me. Someone tell me what to do......

I have two ressies right now. One for POR with 4 adults with 2 of them being children
And one other ressie with two adults hoping I can add my kids on after I get the 12 digit code. I am so confused. So do I keep the ressie with 4 or the one with two and hope they can add my kids on later.

I called Disney about my reservation to get it added to the website and to add a celebration and they said that they can modify it shortly before you arrive. Orbitz currently owns the reservation. So I'd call again about a week before your trip and see if they can add the kids.

You need a 12 digit code to make changes via Disney yourself. People are getting this by calling Orbitz. Not the 6 digit code you get as a hotel confirmation, or the big long code that Orbitz first gives you - you need a 12 digit code so be very specific.

Saving money is worth an extra call or two. I vacation 7 or 8 times a year in Disney between my DVC membership and filling in with great "deal trips". Please do not give up. Every dollar you save...spend it on something you would love to do in WDW.
Call Orbitz...have them add any children....at first they told us to add them upon check-in but I needed my kids added for Magical Express. The girl literally took the info from me and faxed it over to Disney.
Disney already has my children in my account for my family with the Disney Experience so upon explaining all the hoop la that I was going through...the supervisor I spoke to took care of everything else and gave me my Disney Ressie #. Prior, I spoke to several people and had to end the calls because they did not know how to handle my requests. Half the challenge of getting a "great deal" is someone guiding you....that is what the Dis Boards are for....I read everyday and although I don't post often...this was something since I was learning as I went...I wanted to share.
Never stop should you get a cast member who is "mistaken" and says...I can't do that....ask to speak with a supervisor if available. If someone else has told you it can be done....it is probably true.
Never stress. Disney wants your money and to make it a great experience for you. I feel guilty about booking outside of Disney but I save a boat load of money. We are going to spend it while we are there making it extra memorable.

Good Luck!
