A question (aka an excuse for reaching 200 posts)

Would you take boat/bus to MK and then bus to BW to get to Int'l Gateway entrance to Epcot instead of bus to Epcot and then walking through the entire park?

Kathy! That's great and I'd be happy to add you. You're going to love all the decorations. Are you in a one bedroom? VWL will be sooooo cozy for December:goodvibes

We are in a studio. We have to studio to have enough points to go twice a year. LOL.

And the Sticky Bun sundae:

OMG. What is that. Is that Trails End again? We are definitely going this time...

Or go to hs and walk or ride the boat to ig :). One of my fav things to do

Why am I quoting this entire post? To show what a wonderful moderator Kook is!!! Between you and the other regulars here, everyone's questions get answered and all comments are addressed.

I totally agree! A big :thanks: to Kook and everyone else who contributes to this thread.

Kook- are you and DD enjoying your snow day? ( seems like more of a slush day so far)
You're such a sweetie, thank you so much for always being so appreciative - your students are very lucky.

Yes, day off yesterday for DH, too and 2-hour delay today for DD. Why? No idea. Did get some shoveling in for the season and I'm looking forward to 60s this weekend:thumbsup2. Hope you didn't have much disruption to your routine.

Yes, Trail's End again and it's the Sticky Bun Sundae. I have photos of many of the TE items in my August 2012 review HERE.

Awww, thanks so much, LuvGoldens and YES! A BIG thank-you to all our very helpful Lodgers who answer questions, post photos and make suggestions... You're the best:grouphug:

We take breaks every single day... No way could I stand being in any park opening to close.... With children, grandchildren or just ourselves, we say 12-1 we're out of there, no ands ifs or buts....

We enjoy the resort, it's property and amenities plus the pool.... Every day, sometimes as soon as we wake up, for sure afternoon and some times late evenings...

Our resorts means just as much as the parks anymore and when the grandchildren are there, even more!

Pepe, every post I read of yours, I agree with! We definitely think alike...:thumbsup2

Thanks.... What it is, it is.... I don't pull no punches.... What I say and profess is based on our 47 trips.... We try to save money in WDW, not blow it carelessly or needlessly...

Others may not like my views, I could care less, they can do Disney their way...my opinion will differ alot with others but we've been doing WDW this way for more trips and years then most.....

Thanks for seeing some on my ideas my way!

Does anyone know how long of a walk it is from the WL to Trail's End at FTW?

Both distance and time estimates would be great. Thanks. :)

At a leisurely pace, it's about 20 mins. or a little over a mile.

Kook is right. It took us about that long and it is a beautiful walk. DW and I encountered quite a few deer on our walk over to Trail's End so we did stop to take a few pics. I look forward to doing the walk again this September.

Thanks. We didn't get a chance to explore when we were there last month and this is one of the things that I really want to do. And maybe even get my husband over to Trail's End for a meal, too. ;)

Hey, take him down stairs to Crocketts Tavern.... We hit it one evening for pizza and pitchers of beer!!

Great news from the Old Faithful Club... Randy S. will be returning next week as the OFC manager. He was on a 6-month assignment which was a great learning opportunity, but he's really missed WL Club level and is excited to be returning. WL is very lucky to have him returning to his 'home.'

Remember how excited we were last May when he showed Macavity her JUST rehabbed WL room?

Big hug to you:hug:

I didn't announce it here earlier so as not to be a Debbie Downer, but I canceled our WDW spring break trip last week. DH is a DoD civilian and his agency still hasn't announced official furlough details. The guidelines suggest that they'll all be furloughed one day a week for 22 weeks (and though many aren't aware, the sequestration, by law, is supposed to last 9 years!) I didn't want to end-up losing our two room-only deposits because we found out that DH can't take leave due to sequestration. Not having any real information to act upon has been frustrating so canceling the vacation seemed prudent and has actually been a relief in some ways.

If any of want to vent or share your sequestrations fears, feel free to post here to get it off your chest - we'll understand:grouphug:

I feel for you both! I work for a gov't contracting company and we are in limbo around here too! I just wish we would know already!

Kathy, in some ways this mess could be even worse for contractors. DH isn't a contractor, but I've heard that some contracts were impacted months ago and some companies have seen a 20% decrease in contracts. Answers sure would be nice so that all of us could make, break or amend plans. When I canceled, I made a point of telling the WDTC that it was due to sequestration - she had no idea what I was talking about. I wonder if by now they all know:scratchin

Yes this is so true. I don't work any particular program here, but serve a support function for new business (proposals), but we are very low on the priority list as you can imagine! The waiting is intolerable!

It's scary how many people had no idea what the sequestration was! Even my family that is normally up on the political on-goings were uninformed! I kept telling them "you'll know exactly what it is when I'm knocking on your door for a place to live!" lol.
